Sobre esta propriedade
Fire Pit + Stunning Views ~ 2BD 1 BTH Mountain Cabin - Quiet, Dead End Lane
Nestled on a quiet, dead-end street in Duck Creek Village, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath cabin offers a beautiful mountain retreat for up to 4 guests, sitting at 8,600 feet in the high mountain desert of Southern Utah. Enjoy a cozy outdoor firepit, private deck with breathtaking views, and a fully stocked kitchen for home-cooked meals. Additional amenities include high-speed wifi, and an outdoor dining area on the deck.
Four-wheel drive and tire chains are required during winter months (November–April).
We strongly recommend using an SUV or another high-clearance vehicle year-round, as the roads leading to the cabin and within the village are unpaved and uneven.
Before traveling, please check road conditions through Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), which provides live cameras and updates for routes including Utah State Route 14 (from Cedar City), U.S. Route 89, and Interstate 15, depending on your travel route.
Please take these requirements seriously. We have included photos of the area during snowy conditions in this listing to help you understand what to expect.
✓ There is no AC. We open windows and the locking screen “storm” doors at night to allow the cool mountain air in. Temperatures in the summer are generally in the high 40’s-50’s at night. Daytime temperatures are rarely above 85 degrees. We have ceilings fans in each bedroom and portable fans. We only use our ceiling fans as it is in the 60’s inside the cabin at night.
If you’re looking to unwind in nature, be close to all the area has to offer, and have the utmost privacy, you’ve come to the right spot. Here’s a bit of an overview of what to expect:
• 2 well-appointed bedrooms:
⎯▹ Bedroom 1: 1 King bed
⎯▹ Bedroom 2: 1 King bed
• Fresh bedding + towels provided
• 1 full bathroom (tub/shower combo)
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, blender, crockpot, waffle maker
• Washer + dryer in garage (under cabin)
• Wood-burning stove (wood provided)
• Garage for ATV/bike storage
Experience Overview ~
• High-speed Wi-Fi
• Stunning mountain and Duck Creek Village views
• 65” Smart HDTV + DISH satellite
• Board games + puzzles
• Direct access to nature trails
• Private deck with outdoor seating
• New (Aug 2025) Blackstone flat top griddle/grill + outdoor dining area (not accessible during winter months). We have two tanks but we don’t guarantee they will be full. They can be exchanged or refilled at True Value or Loose Wheels gas station in the village (2 miles from our cabin).
Our cabin was built in 1981 — it’s not perfect, and we don’t claim it is. But it’s our little slice of heaven, and we do our best to share it with others in an honest, welcoming, and thoughtful way.
We are directly above the Duck Creek Community Church (on the mountain), so you will hear the beautiful church bells throughout the day.
