Family Celebration

This was a fabulous house, very well kitted out, comfortable beds, super & plentiful shower rooms, great kitchen & a lovely garden. To have ones own well water was a real treat & the owners were delightful & very easy to communicate with. The road noise was a bit intrusive particularly at night and the road was incredibly busy but apart from that the location is good. Perhaps having more comfortable furniture in the sitting room would have been nice, it is not a very cosy space. However these are minor criticisms & we absolutely loved our stay at the Ferienhaus. Thanks Barbara & Gerold!

Dear Caro, dear Howie, we were very happy to welcome you as our guests in the Sonnhof, we are also happy that it was a nice vacation and you could enjoy your stay. I would like to explain your criticisms for other guests who also like to read reviews. Yes, the road is there, you have to get to the house somehow. I am also very sorry that this was disturbing for you. We ourselves do not notice it at all since we also have a village street nearby at home. With closed windows you hear nothing at all, because they are new or if you have a room to the forest up. To the room / living room I would like to explain that this was also recently renovated and re-furnished as it is common in many Tyrolean parlors with large corner bench, tables and a divan to lie on. Also, the bench-table combination was chosen so that large groups can also eat together in the parlor. I wish your family all the best, stay healthy and maybe we will meet again for a family reunion at the Sonnhof. Your Barbara and Gerold

Fantastic Holiday!

We spent 2 wonderful summer weeks at this holiday home. We were a party of 12 ranging from 6 to 80 years old with most of us coming from the UK. The house was really well equipped and beautiful and exceeded our expectations. There was not a single thing that we would have changed. The bedrooms and all the rooms were big and beautiful and the views stunning. The spring in the garden was lovely for drinking water and the trough made a great beer cooler. There were plenty of deck chairs provided for the garden, and also a little adult bike and bikes and toys for the children and also BBQs. There was loads to do and no car was needed. We swam most days in the lake. The water is really clear and shallow at the edges so ideal for small children too. We also hired electric boats on the lake and did loads of beautiful walks ranging from 1 to over 7 hours. The cable car in Kossen and chair lift near the summer toboggan run (good fun for getting back down) are just a short bus ride away (free bus with your Kaisercard). Once on the top of the mountains you get lots more walks surrounded by wild flowers and the ringing of cow bells (try the Aschingeralm from the top of the chairlift - easy walk for all and lovely food).There are walks directly from the house into the mountains (destination Lippenalm recommended!). We also went family river rafting in Kossen which was not at all scary but great fun with beautiful scenery and a crystal clear river, and they let you jump out and float down the river too. We also had day trips to Salzburg and Kufstein where we visited the fortress and had lunch in the Auracher Lochl. The owner, Barbara, is lovely and couldn't have dome more for us.(Thank you Barbara!). On a practical side, there is no need for a car. The lake and walks into the mountains and into the village can be done from the house and other places are easy to get to on the local bus which goes frequently. A little Spar shop is a couple of minutes walk away and the supermarket is also within easy walking distance. Every morning we walked into Walchsee to get fresh rolls from the bakery. Getting there was easy: We arrived in Munich, traveled by train to Kufstein (1.5 hours) and then took a bus to Walchsee (30 minutes) and the bus stop is about a minutes walk from house. The bus goes to all the surrounding villages and from Kufstein the train goes to some great destinations. For trip to Salzburg and Munich (including airport) get a Bayern-ticket.

Aus deiner Bewertung kann man als Urlauber alles herauslesen was einen interessiert, haus, Unternehmungen, Umgebung, usw. ich bedanke mich auch bei dir und deiner Familie recht herzlich dass ihr eure englisch-deutsches familientreffen bei uns am sonnhof verlebt habt. ich hoffe sehr auf ein wiedersehen, da ihr alles zusammen unheimlich nette und herzliche menschen seid. ich wünsche euch von herzen alles gute, vor allem Gesundheit und eine schöne zeit, bis zum nächsten mal eure Barbara und Gerold vom Ferienhaus sonnhof.

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einem sehr schön renovierten Bauernhaus mit einem Garten. Es gab viel Platz für die Familie, insbesondere für Kinder. Und die Umgebung bot viele Möglichkeiten.

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Wochenende mit Freunden im Sonnhof.Das Ferienhaus ist super ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden, sogar Backpapier, Spülmaschinentabs uvm.Die Stube als Aufenthaltsort ist groß und gemütlich.Alles war sehr sauber, die Bäder und Zimmer sind teils neu renoviert und gemütlich eingerichet.Im Garten gibt es viele Sitzmöglichkeiten und Platz für alle.

Das Haus steht alleine, umgeben von einer Wiesenlandschaft, so das Privazität gewährt ist. Die nähere Umgehung bietet viele Freizeitgestaltungsmöglichkeiten, Wandern, Speisen, Baden, Bootsfahren, alles zu Fuß erreichbar.

Wir haben hier ein geselliges JGA Wochenende verbracht und würden jederzeit wieder hier unterkommen. Die Begrüßung von den Eheleuten war super herzlich, das Haus ist mit allem top ausgestattet und die Lage ist super. Der fußläufige Weg zum See hat sich etwas gezogen, aber mit dem Bollerwagen und dem Wegbier war das kein Problem. Generell ein sehr gutes Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen, z.B. zum Zahmen Kaiser. Gerne wieder!

Familien- Trip

Wir waren 18 Personen (10 Erwachsene/8 Kinder). Das Haus war perfekt und super aufgeteilt für groß und klein. Die Bäder waren ein Traum und alle hatten genug Platz. Schade, dass von dem Wäschepaket und den Stromkosten nichts in der „Anzeige“ stand. Trotzdem würden wir es wieder buchen. Die Kommunikation war super angenehm und freundlich. Wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!

What a great place and greater host!

Wir waren 11 Personen aus drei verschiedenen Familien unterschiedlichen Alters, daher war es nicht einfach, die richtige Unterkunft zu finden, aber dieses Haus war perfekt. Es gab jede Menge Zimmer und Betten für alle (mit etwas Platz) sowie eine große Anzahl an Badezimmern und Duschen. Auch die Küche war gut ausgestattet und es gab genügend Geschirr für alle. Die Lage ist sehr zentral mit zahlreichen Lebensmittelgeschäften, Restaurants und Aktivitäten in der Nähe. Aber das Beste von allem war unsere Gastgeberin Barbara. Als Amerikaner, die mit vielen Leuten zu Besuch waren, brauchten wir etwas zusätzliche Hilfe und Barbara war SUPER freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Wir würden bei unserem nächsten Österreich-Urlaub auf jeden Fall wieder dort übernachten. We had 11 people from 3 different families of all different ages so finding the right place wasn't easy, but this house was perfect. There was plenty of rooms and beds for everyone (with room to spare) as well as a large number of bathrooms and showers. The kitchen was also well stocked with enough dishes for everyone. The location is very central with plenty of grocery stores, restaurants and activities nearby. But the best feature of all was our host Barbara. As Americans visiting with a lot of people, we needed a little extra help and Barbara was SUPER friendly and always willing to help. We would absolutely stay there again for our next Austrian getaway.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit Blick auf den Walchsee. Egal, ob mit Freunden oder Familie und Kindern - jeder findet hier seinen Spaß. (wir waren 12 Erwachsene) Sehr modernes Haus. Die Küche ist sensationell ausgestattet. Die Badezimmer und Betten waren ein Traum. Im Garten hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Walchsee. Ein Smoker und Kugelgrill sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Das Highlight war ein Brunnen im Garten mit frischen Quellwasser. Außerdem gibt es genügend Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Der nächste große Supermarkt ist zwei Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Die Abwicklung mit der Gastgeberin war super einfach und sehr angenehm. Ich kann dieses Ferienhaus jedem weiter empfehlen.

Ein schönes Wochenende mit Freunden

Unsere Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich. Das Haus hat alles was es braucht. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, traumhafte Natur und Einkehrmöglichkeiten in nächster Nähe oder in angenehmer Wanderentferung. Wetter war auch besser als vorhergesagt. Danke vielmals.

Unser Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

Das Wochenende in Kössen hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Kommunikation mit Barbara war sehr gut und alles ist reibungslos verlaufen. Das Haus ist wunderschön. Tolle Küche, voll ausgestattet, mit großem Essbereich, schönen Zimmern und tolle Bäder. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Super Urlaub for Familien mit Kinder!

Alles war perfekt! Unsere vier Familien mit Kinder hatten sehr schönes Urlaub in diesem Ferienhaus. Das Ferienhaus war sauber. Trotz der Strasse in der nähe - war es ruhig im Haus. Und die Blick vom Fenster ist hervorragend! Ferienhauseigentümern waren sehr freundlich und behilflich.
