Moose Head Lodge in Linville Land Harbor on Lake View

Beautiful, private wooded re-treat with all your amenities and peekaboo views of the lake from a large deck. Great location in Land Harbor, close to Grandfather Mountain, Sugar & Beech Mountains in addition plenty of other activities in the community such as golf, tennis, heated community pool, canoeing & hiking. There's also horseback riding near by. House is well appointed with spacious rooms, loft, Game room with pool table, fireplace & garage.
Like many homes in the High Country, our home does not have air conditioning. The evening and early morning temperatures keeps the house comfortable during day and night. There are fans in every room, and usually a nice cross ventilation exists.
During late fall and winter an AWD, 4X4 or tire chains are highly recommended. Ice can accumulate through out the area.

We loved this rustic mountain home. It was very spacious and warm. After a long day of skiing it was so nice to come back to. The host Ralph was so attentive. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.

Nice central location

Nice property centrally located close to Sugar Mountain resort, Grand Father Mountain, Alpine Coaster, Tubing. Good responsive host with tips to make trip even better. Future travelers make sure to read booklet in the cocktail table. It has several nuggets about the are. We enjoyed our stay with the family. Thank you host Ralph.

Moose Lodge

Our family gathered for a memorial for our grandparents. Several families booked other vrbo properties and this was a great place for a central hub. The living room, dining room, kitchen area are cozy with a great fireplace overlooking a beautiful view of the woods and lake. The deck was great with a fire pit. Everything we needed was supplied for us. It’s a great location to get to attractions near grandfather mountain, Linville, Falls, and Boone. Ralph was very responsive and accommodating. This was our families second stay here and we would definitely stay again.

Perfect Family Retreat

The Moose Lodge was a perfect family mountain retreat for our 10 person family ages 13-80! We celebrated Thanksgiving together and the kitchen was ready for Such a meal. We loved movie nights by the cozy fire and game nights downstairs on the ping pong/pool table. Plenty of room! The community was already decorated for Christmas and we picked up a tree on the way out of town. Ralph was a very attentive host and made us feel very welcome. Note- the hot tub is actually a jacuzzi bathtub. Highly recommend- we would love to return!

Amazing property with an even more amazing host!

This house has everything you are looking for for the perfect mountain getaway including one of the most attentive hosts we’ve ever had even through the Thanksgiving holiday. Pool table and ping pong table are fun for hours plenty of games a ton of space and everything else you can think of in between. I can’t think of a better place to be with family and friends for the holiday. Pics do not do this place justice go check it out for yourself you will thank me later.

Mountain Fun

Great mountain cabin with a lake view. Family amenities on site including pool, roped lake swimming, golf, paddleball, etc. Close to Linville, Banner Elk and Grandfather Mountain, as well as wineries, breweries and other fun mountain attractions.

Central Location

Location is close to all that Land Harbor has to offer (hiking, fishing, swimming) and central to area venues (Grandfather Mt, Hampton’s General store, Parkway). Beach area on the lake was very popular with all the children. Can checkout kayaks and paddle boats at the pool with guest pass provided by the owner. Plenty of videos, books and games for bad weather days. One note : Families with toddlers will want to bring baby gates. House has multiple levels. We had two gates and they were sufficient to provide a safety stop for a 2 year old.

Great place for family

Enjoyed staying in this beautiful house. The owner was wonderful about communicating all the details about the property and area. The amenities; pool, lake, beach area, playgrounds, golf course, and location was perfect for our family. The large deck with a view of lake was beautiful. Great place to hang out. We love staying here!

We love staying here! This was our 2nd trip and it’s a great location to the ski resort and restaurants. Ralph the property owner is super easy to work with and answers all your questions. We will be booking again next year.

Great house, amazing communication & recommendations

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had excellent communication with the property owner and he provided us with detailed recommendations for our stay, which we greatly appreciated. The home is beautiful and the house is stocked with tons of spices and cooking tools. The neighborhood is great, it’s a short trip to Sugar Mountain. My only minor complaint is that the mattresses could be upgraded, the king was fine but the other beds were very worn and firm. Overall, we would definitely visit again and bring the rest of the family.

If I could give a 10 star I would. GREAT home, location and owners!!! EVERYTHING was perfect!!!

10 STAR ++++ everything was exactly as described. Owner were VERY helpful as our trip was planning for snowboarding and we could decide on Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain after speaking with Ralph we decided on Sugar and it was not a disappointment at all. We happened to be there during snow white out which was absolutly beautiful the owners thought of everything, including snow removal. Definitely recommend and we will be renting their home again in the future!!!

Beautiful home with a lake view in a gorgeous neighborhood that goes all out with Christmas decorations. Perfect for family and friends with trails to hike and boats for fishing! Owners are lovely and extremely easy to communicate with.

Wonderful getaway

My family of 5 plus 1 grandparent had an excellent time! The home is comfortable and large with plenty of space. The owners are easy to reach and very responsive. We enjoyed playing pool and relaxing in the den while watching Christmas movies. The community is nice and quiet and decorated for Christmas. We were only about 15 minute drives to everything we did: gem mining,caverns,the alpine coaster, snow tubing, Grandfather mountain, and Lindell Falls. We tried and enjoyed an Italian and Mexican place but also enjoyed cooking on the grill at the cabin. We will definitely return to see what other seasons have to offer.

Beautiful Home Central To Amazing Hiking

We loved the location of this home to Linville Gorge hiking, Parkway, and waterfalls. It felt very private with a tranquil lake & wooded view off the back porch. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. The fireplace was a cozy treat, too!

Summer Camp for adults

The Land Harbor neighborhood has every activity imaginable and residents were welcoming as we participated. House is beautiful and well-equipped. Owner was wonderfully responsive & helpful. These four 60’s-ish women had a great time on our girl’s trip!

Wonderful home in Land Harbor

We have family who live in Land Harbor, so I have rented houses in this lovely community many times to house our large extended family during visits. The Moose Head Lodge was definitely our best experience. The house was immaculately clean, very well furnished, and Ralph's communication was proactive, helpful, and super responsive. The location is ideal, with lake views from the house and all of the property recreational amenities very close by (pool, tennis, golf, etc). The kids loved the ping pong and pool table downstairs and we had plenty of room for our family to gather. Overall, an excellent stay!
