Elegant Retreat Near the Heart of Florence

Our stay at this property made our first visit to Florence unforgettable. Lovely time in Florence

The property was clean, lovely and perfect to accommodate my siblings and I ! We had such a great time exploring Florence and we enjoyed coming back to calm and safety to this appartement after a long day in the center. The host provided some thoughtful and amazing list of local addresses— this helped us enjoy some delicious and authentic Italian food! I will definitively be coming back for my next trip in the region!

Wonderful Apartment

The apartment is wonderful and pristine clean with beautiful wooden floors. The unit is located in a neighborhood within Florence but about a 30 minute bus ride from the main downtown district. It's a great place to stay to experience life in Florence with the local people and away from the tourists. BItte's father and mother were the caretakers and very helpful. Highly recommend the property.

Cozy space; liked the balcony.

Quiet, cozy space with all the essentials. Glad we did not have a car, because parking was at a great premium nice to have a grocery store about an eight minute walk away took the bus numerous times to downtown. very nice owners. And generally quiet neighbors. Traffic was a little loud in the morning and evening. No tv but did not need one. No, Tevy, but we didn’t need one.

Everything was spot on with check in. There were a few let downs was advertised with hot tub, but didn’t exist. No washing machine detergent Fridge completely empty. Would be good to have at least some water in the fridge

Quaint and Charming!

If you want to feel like a local, and get to know a neighborhood without crashing into tourist after tourist, then this is the place for you! This apartment is clean, comfortable, lovely, quaint, and charming, as are the host’s, (Bitte’s Parents), whom will greet you and give you lay of the land. They provided us with directions, recommendations and a marked map to help us navigate the area by either walking, bus or taxi, they even called us a taxi when it was time to leave for the train station. We loved coming home to this peaceful apartment after our crowded, noisy days in the main square/piazza. Grocery, bus stop, parks, and a very nice restaurant, (Casa Paloma), are all within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The 1930’s windows and doors are extremely well made, and blend well with the modern kitchen, and furnishings. The bed is comfortable, and room stays dark. I loved hanging my clothes to dry, and making the coffee each morning Italian style, and drinking it on the balcony like a true Italian! Just a note here; there is no television, (which was fine for me as I love to read, and as too busy site seeing to want to watch t.v.), and no A/C, (which worked out because the apartment has very thick walls and great windows/shutters to keep the heat out). Also in Italy first floor means second floor for Americans, (must be able to climb stairs). We will definitely stay here again if The Fates should ever bring us back to stunning Florence, Italy!

Safety Issue

We arrived to this apt and had trouble with the neighbors next door while trying to check in. They were in a screaming/yelling argument with the hosts because they were not okay with them constantly renting the apartment out. They screamed at us as we tried to bring our luggage in and were being physically held back by others in their home which honestly scared us a lot. We spoke with the hosts and they advised us not to make any noise in the bedroom so we don’t upset them and to call the police if they try to cause any issues. We did not feel comfortable staying and attempted to get a refund but was refused due to no direct fault of the host (she cannot control the neighbors). After speaking with both the host and VRBO support, they advised us to get a police report for that incident in order to be refunded. We did not have the time or resources to do that but wanted to leave immediately so we got a hotel near the city center. Leaving this apt was a nightmare as taxis do not come there and we had little knowledge of any other transportation, we had to walk a few miles closer to the city until a taxi was able to give us a ride. The host did provide a partial refund of about 30% which we really appreciate, but it did put a major damper on our first night in Florence.

Das Apartment war sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Pluspunkt: überall Fliegengitter! Der Empfang und die Kommunikation waren sehr nett. Bis in's Stadtzentrum läuft man eine halbe Stunde oder man nimmt den Bus Linie 1. Ein Supermarkt ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Kleiner Minuspunkt: etwas Verkehrslärm im Schlafzimmer. Allen in allem sehr empfehlenswert. Vielen Dank!

Quiet, convenient, and just out of the hustle and busy

We used this property for 3 weeks as our home base to travel all around the central and north part of Italy. The property itself is in a quiet, residential area, but the buses to the train station., as well as to stops near the city center are steps away. Super convenient. The apartment is very clean and safe! Includes a washer and a balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard, which was a great place to unwind with some wine at the end of the day. It’s also convenient to a market (coop) for some wine, cheese, and salami for a nice snack. Bed and pillows are comfortable, the bathroom is great. The property is spacious. We hope to return!

Very spacious and clean with all the updated ammenties. Hosts were warm and friendly and able to answer all our questions. We were in Florence for 3 days, and enjoyed it a lot. The location is far enough away from the main attractions that we needed to take a quick, low cost bus into town.

Appartement très confortable mais chambre très bruyante.

L'appartement était très confortable et très bien équipé. Cependant la chambre au premier étage donne sur une rue très passagère de jour comme de nuit (automobiles, bus, motos ). Le bruit nous a empêché de dormir dans cette chambre. Nous avons dû dormir dans le canapé BZ dans le séjour C'est vraiment dommage car le reste était très bien.

Schöne Stadtwohnung in Florenz.

Die Wohnung ist schön, bestens ausgestattet, die Vermieter nett, die Busverbindungen in die City perfekt. Der Autoverkehr auf der einen Seite der Wohnung ist relativ laut, der Innenhof auf der anderen Seite sehr charmant.

Excellent sejour chez Bitte!

Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement, l’appartement est super confortable, nous nous somme sentis tout de suite comme chez nous ! Tout est parfaitement propre et les pièces sont meublées avec très bon goût. Quartier calme, près du centre historique de la ville (25 minutes à pieds, magnifique promenade par les vieilles rues de Florence, sinon 15 minutes en bus, l’arrêt est juste devant la porte d’entrée du bâtiment). Magasins et restaurants à 5 minutes à pieds, on peut faire les course au marché, ouvert tous les jours pendant la semaine. Bref, c’est le meilleur logement où nous ayons passé nos vacances ! Merci, Bitte, à bientôt pour notre prochain séjour chez toi!

My excellent stay

Stayed here for 7 days and enjoyed the open plan feel there was loads of room space it can easily take 4 people staying it was modern but still had lots of tuscan features, there's wonderful tree lined views to the front and the back has a very long terrace to enjoy the garden views, had some great walks around the area and a great local daily market very close to apartment, the centre is a 30 mins walk or buses run frequently just outside the apartment. I've stayed at Bitte other apartment also but this is the first time in this one If I rate this property out of 10 then it's definitely worth a 20 rating You wouldn't be disappointed if you choose this one I'm coming back next year probably to both of Bitte apartments I love them Bitte with her mum and dad all make you feel very special

С радост установихме, че квартирата е по-хубава, отколкото на снимките в сайта, което много рядко ни се случва. Ние пристигнахме с влак от Болоня и от гарата до апартамента стигнахме много лесно само с един автобус, който спира на 50 м от квартирата. Собствениците ни очакваха, както се бяхме договорили, обясниха ни всичко за квартирата и ни дадоха ценни съвети за града-забележителности, храна, транспорт, покупки и т.н. The name Le Cure comes from the historical role it played as a place where washerwomen used to wash clothes and sheets in the river that flows right in front of my apartment. These hardworking women would wash the laundry for the families living in the city centre.
