History and culture
It is easy to spent a week walking around old city of Ston and discover it's beauty behind every corner. From Kastio, the old tower that dominates the city of Ston, to the Ston walls which can take you to city of Mali Ston that is situated on the other side of the small hill. Ston history is well preserved and exhibited in Lapidarium, the museum situated in the main street. If you feel thirsty, the old fountain will serve the ice cold water to every passerby.

Oysters and wine
The Dalmatian coast has a very long history of mariculture. Traces of primitive oyster farming-petrified oak branches with attached oyster shells-were noted by Roman chroniclers. The first written documents date from the time of the Dubrovnik Republic. Records from the 17th Century provide details on the collection and sale of oysters.
