Peaceful and private 50 feet of picturesque waterfront on Leland Pond yet close to Colgate University, shops, movie theater, restaurants, antiques and only 4 miles to Hamilton ! Only a 5 minute drive to tons of antique shops in Bouckville ny.
Cool off with a swim to our private floating dock or try your luck fishing! Small row boat available. Kayaks available too!
White Heron Cottage has been totally renovated with air conditioning, hardwood floors, freshly painted , new furnishings, and NEW sliding door from living room to deck! Gorgeous high vaulted ceiling in living room.

Relax on the deck overlooking serene Leland Pond and fire up the available grill.
First floor primary bedroom with queen bed and private bathroom.
Second bedroom is upstairs with a queen bed.
All linens provided. Two full baths.

Fully functional kitchen: 5 burner gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, cookware, dishes, some spices, grill, floating swim raft, dock, deck, parking for 3 cars. Internet and t v also available!!

Great kayaks and paddle boards and tubes to float around this wonderfully calm, scenic surrounded by nature pond. It is a glacial kettle pond which is 50 feet deep in center and a very popular fishing destination.

Just ideal for a quiet getaway.

Just spend a fabulous week at the White Heron cottage!This was our 6th year here and there's a reason we keep coming back. The location is close to everything...Antique Week, shops and specialty stores, wonderful eateries and downtown Hamilton has made incredible changes and so enjoyable.Vera and Walt the hosts are incredibly accommodating and pleasant. There's not much if anything that we need to ask for, but when we do their response is immediate and efficient.There are lovely water toys and a great boat on the property and my husband enjoys the fishing while I shop.Thanks for another fabulous relaxing vacation Vera---see you next year!

This is our fifth year coming to the cottage and we just love how homey it feels. Vera is a spectacular host and always has the cottage clean and welcoming each time we come. The house is equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing stay including toys to play with on the pond if you don’t bring your own! We love that we’re so close to Hamilton for shopping as well as Ray Brothers for BBQ and the Trading Post for ice cream. The perfect oasis for a peaceful getaway! You will fall in love with it just like we did!

Home was beautifully appointed with great views of the pond. Weather didn’t cooperate but we would have loved to use the kayaks.

Beautiful house in a spectacular setting overlooking the lake. We were very comfortable and appreciated the obvious thought and effort the owners have taken to make the house a wonderful place to stay. The air conditioning worked very well during the near record high temperatures we experienced. Loved my peaceful mornings eating breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake. Enjoyed the antique shops nearby in Bouckville. We appreciated that the owners provided a great deal of bottled water which we used for drinking and cooking.

Loved our stay

My husband, mother and myself traveled there for a wedding. Cottage was perfect. Great location, clean and easy. Will stay again next time we are in town!

We’ve been renting this cottage for the last 4 years and just love it! It’s such a beautiful cottage with everything you could need and such a great location. You can’t go wrong in renting this little gem!!

Cozy cottage on a beautiful lake, very close to Colgate Univ.

We have stayed in this cottage 4 times now and each visit gets better as the hosts are always finding ways to make things nicer for their guests. Highly recommend.

Great weekend on the lake.

Vers is an excellent host and the house is lovely. Love having access to kayaks and paddle boards. Great decks to enjoy the outside.

Relaxing Retreat

We spent 4 days visiting family in the area. The house was spacious and spotlessly clean with a beautiful view of Leland Pond. We enjoyed the quiet woodland setting. Communicating with Vera and checking in were super easy. We will definitely stay there again.

This is our fifth year staying at this fabulous cottage. Every year something new is done to make our stay more pleasurable. The cottage is immaculately kept, amazing location and absolutely everything you need for some rest and relaxation. The host are always so accommodating and incredibly efficient. We love it so much here that we already booked next year's stay before leaving. Thank you, Vera and Walt for another amazing visit!

Perfect stay!

We rented this cottage for Colgate commencement weekend and it could not have been more perfect. Close to town on a lovely lake. Cottage was well appointed with everything we needed. We even had a break between commencement events to enjoy kayaking. Thank you!!

Annual Eaton Madison Bouckville Junkin’

Second year visiting family & shopping MB antique week. The cottage is perfect for my 90 year old mother. The weather was perfect & we enjoyed 4 evenings looking at the sun setting on Leland Pond. We plan to be back. The cottage is well outfitted, clean, & comfortable. Just lovely.

I have lived in this area my entire life and love the many lakes and rolling hills. I finally realized one of my dreams of owning a cottage on a lake! I couldn't have found a more perfect fit at Leland Pond. I have three daughters and one granddaughter who will be enjoying the cottage occasionally. Travelers needing a quiet, clean home away from home can rent for 2 days or a week!
