Sunset Loft on Deer Lake has something to offer year-round. Just steps to beautiful, clear, Deer Lake and our private beach and dock. Only 25 minutes by car to 49 North Open ALL WINTER - Mountain Resort with hiking, hunting, cycling, snowshoeing, bird watching, and mountain biking in between.
Your private apartment is directly facing Deer Lake Marsh with expansive Lake views from the balcony. Enjoy a romantic escape in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Our Loft can sleep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably.
Sunset Loft is a 1000 sq ft open floor plan with one bedroom with a Queen bed, full kitchen (including a 1 day basic breakfast kit), wood burning fire heater, one bathroom with a custom stone tile shower, vaulted living room with a new La-Z-Boy Queen sofa sleeper couch and TV, and separate office space. We also have available an inflatable electric over sized twin mattress and 2 twin folding mattresses available upon request. Balcony overlooks large marsh/bird sanctuary and partial lake views with wonderful sunsets. Back porch/deck has extra firewood and a BBQ grill.
**Requires climbing 18 stairs**. May not be for everyone but the views are worth it!
We’re happy to offer shared access to our beach and dock area! During your stay, you’re welcome to enjoy our two guest kayaks and paddleboard. Just a short walk to the cool refreshing clear lake.
Shared fenced area between the loft and our house for your pet to play off leash.
We live in the main house next door with our mini Australian Shepherd. We can socialize as much or as little as you'd like. There is almost always one of us available to answer questions.
Sunset Loft is walking distance to Deer Lake RV Resort and their Camper store. Public boat launch is one mile away. RV Resort amenities are available for a small daily fee.

Other things to note
PET FEE: $35 per dog/per stay.

Up to $300 of the security deposit will be charged in the event you, your guests, or pet cause damage to the Loft or any part of the property including the beach and dock area.

Quiet, relaxing wintry get-away

Although we imagine the Sunset Loft is wonderful in the summer, it’s literally magical with snow on the ground in the fall. From the stunning views sunrise to sunset to the accommodating hostess, the loft is an ideal place to spend a relaxing and peaceful extended birthday weekend.

Amazing cabin weekend!

Gwen was so responsive and communicative, she even set out the kayaks for us to use! She was so understanding with our little puppy and the home was easy to navigate, up to date, and had everything we needed!

Absolutely gorgeous unit and property, it was just as pictured. Gwen is a gracious host, thinking of every accommodation - she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, yet also gave us privacy. We would absolutely love to visit again.

Most Amazing!

We traveled from Hawaii to visit family in Washington. This place is right on Deer Lake, with views of the lake right from your living room deck! We chose this place intentionally because it was walking distance to my brothers home! Hosts are gracious, informative and kind. Loved our time there! Mahalo, Callie & Jon

We stayed here with a baby and toddler and loved it. There is a very comfortable bed in the main bedroom. We had our toddler sleep in the office on an air mattress. Everything was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The bathroom is large with a great shower. Communication with the hosts was smooth and easy. It was a perfect weekend for us and we hope to return next summer. Be sure to check the weather - we came prepared for a hot summer July weekend and it was in the 60s-70s. We still had a fabulous time, just stayed in more than we had planned.

Best Annual Girls' Trip Ever!

Our new home away from home

We had never rented a lake place before but the listing seemed perfect so we took a chance. This property is absolutely perfect in every way. The owners have thought of everything guests might need and provided it beautifully. The home is laid out and furnished perfectly, and all you need to bring is food and clothing - everything else you might need is already there. We watched bald eagles and geese with our breakfast on the balcony, enjoyed the lovely beach and dock, and did stargazing at night on the lounges under cuddly blankets. We are already making plans to return next year, and look forward to seeing Gwen, Randy, and Sydney again!
