A cozy two-story house with character. Comfortably accommodates up to 8 people (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen). With a fireplace. With a terrace. With a natural garden with ants and birds :). Fenced. Away from urban smog. Just outside Krakow.
Tastefully furnished (antiques, porcelain, souvenirs, paintings). Functionally equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, kitchen utensils). Fast and strong Wi-Fi internet connection. Quiet neighborhood. Great relaxation after a day in the city or travel. We speak English.

The house is located on a hill in Libertów, just outside Krakow's limits. It is a perfect starting point for visiting Krakow and Lesser Poland Region ((Wieliczka, Oświęcim, Ojców, Energylandia Lunapark Zator, Rabka, Zakopane) by own car.

Only 20 minutes to the center of Krakow and the airport in Balice! But if you prefer to go to Krakow by public transport means, you can get an ICAR taxi to the center (the Market Square) for approx. PLN 35. ( ~10 $, ~8 Euro).

CHARACTER OF THE HOUSE - EXCEPTIONALS AND POSSIBLE IMPERFECTIONS

Two factors: perfection and imperfection determine each character. Our cottage with character has many amenities that most guests consider exceptional and evaluate the house as exceptional. However it is already quite old and with 100% advantages, it also has a few imperfections. Please get to know them all before making a reservation.

EXCELLENT LOCATION: Excellent location and starting point for exploring southern Poland for traveling by car. The cottage is located in the Lesser Poland province, in Libertów, 3 km from the borders of Krakow and 2 km from Zakopianka. Away from smog.

At your disposal is the whole house and the whole garden. The owner lives 50 km away and can help with any problems 24/7.

SELF CHECK-IN
There is no need to arrange a specific time to pick up or hand over the keys. For your convenience, check-in and check-out are possible by yourself (combination lock). Instructions will be sent.

INFRARED FIREPLACE AND PANELS
The fireplace (cast iron stove) is the soul of the living room. The glow and warmth of a living fire during long autumn and winter evenings will not only please you, but also relax you. To ensure maximum comfort of sleep, infrared radiant heaters (infrared heating) are installed next to every bed.

OPEN SPACE OF THE FLOOR WITH A VIEW OF THE GARDEN
The living room, dining room and kitchen are one common space, separated by slightly fragments of walls. Thanks to this openness, spending time together with family or friends becomes fuller, and the view of the garden encourages outdoor activities.

FENCED GARDEN
We cultivate the garden in an ecological spirit. We do not use fertilizers or chemical plant protection products. Nature rules here alone. We like weeds, because most of them are healing plants. Relaxing on the terrace in the shade of a huge lime tree is a real pleasure.

SECURE FOR ALLERGIES
We know that many people may react allergic to a new washing powder, which is why we wash bedding and towels in delicate, hypoallergenic powders without odor and do not use rinsing liquids. Our bedding and towels are therefore not artificially flavored and softened after washing.

RESTAURANT WITH CATERING
In the nearby restaurant Niko, just 1.4 km away, you can eat, order food or drink a drink (32 Jana Pawła II Street). The card offers a local kitchen with the addition of salads, pastas and pizzas. WITHOUT TELEVISION
We hope that just like us, you will be happy to rest from noisy television stations. Instead of antennas and set-top boxes, we provide you TV-set with a DVD player and a very wide collection of films, both for adults and children.

OUR COLLECTIONS
We also collected other family collections in the cottage. The dining room is equipped with antique chairs inherited from grandparents, a porcelain, crystals and paintings. You may also enjoy drawings and sculptures made by ourselves or our friends and memorabilia from family stay in Africa in the 1980s.


OUR POSSIBLE IMPERFECTIONS

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The bus stop (called: Libertów Krzyżówka) is very close, just 200 m from the house (at the intersection with Jana Pawła II street), however the city bus (line 235) goes to / from bus stop called Kraków Borek Fałęcki only 1-2 times per hour.

We suggest you a taxi instead. It is not very expensive at all. You may go with UBER or Icar TAXI, tel. 12 653 5555. Transfer from the house to the Main Market Square (corner of Wiślna and Anna Streets) costs about PLN ~50 /~12 EURO /~13 USD (they have one price 24h / 7).


WE DO NOT PRESS BEDDING AND TOWELS - To save the environment's resources and minimize our impact on the environment, we do not iron sheets and towels. We hope that this will not disturb you, and Mother Earth will save some resources in this way.

HEATING IN WINTER - When the house is vacant, we turn the heating to around 18 ℃. It's ecological, but it can be a problem for you if you prefer to heat over 21 ℃. Of course, when you arrive, you can immediately turn up the thermostats and light up the fireplace to get the temperature that suits you the best. That can be done in about an hour.

UNDERFLOOR HEATING - floor heating does not work in corridors, kitchens and bathrooms. We heat these rooms with additional electric heaters.

STRONG WIND MAY CAUSE NOISE
There was only one guest that complained about the noises from the chimney during the very windy night. Although such a strong wind happens sporadically, we decided to write about it, possibly to warn other sensitive people. The chimney passes through the main bedroom and for particularly sensitive people might be a problem during windy weather. Old houses have such charms that sometimes something crumbles or screeches :(
