Our little beach house is right on the waterfront at Clarks Beach and the perfect place to escape the city without having to battle for hours in the traffic!
Just 50 minutesā€™ drive from the CBD, our slice of paradise is the perfect place to unwind, unplug and enjoy the many recreational activities nearby ā€“ or just relax and take in the stunning views.
Whether you want a romantic getaway, a break for the family, or some ā€˜meā€™ time ā€“ this is the place for you whatever the weather!
The bach faces north with a large deck offering panoramic views across the Manukau Harbour to the city way off in the distance and the beautiful Awhitu Peninsula to the west. The summer sunsets are stunning but the winter weather fronts that move across the harbour are a sight to behold.
Recently refurbished, there is all you need in the way of linen and towels, new comfy beds, a fully-equipped kitchen, outdoor furniture, and plenty of music, books and games to while away the hours.
Clarks Beach is a hidden gem; a quiet seaside suburb with dairy, cafƩ, restaurant and hairdressers plus an 18-hole golf course, all tide boat ramp, playground and white sand beach.
If you want to get active there is so much to do just around the corner!
ā€¢ Explore the amazing Awhitu Regional Park with its walkways, bike tracks, wetlands and rare birds
ā€¢ Manukau Heads lighthouse (open to the public) overlooking the treacherous Manukau Bar
ā€¢ Walk the coastline and sheltered bays
ā€¢ Visit Kariotahi Beach on the rugged Tasman West Coast
ā€¢ Visit Pukekohe for shopping, cafes and bars

Other features of our home away from home include:
Full laundry, air conditioning/heat pump, gas hot water, comfortable new beds (one super king with en suite and two king singles), private access to the beach.
Please note there is no smoking inside house. We do not have a television or internet ā€“ so come prepared or unplugged!
The bach comfortably suits 4 guests but there are two trundle beds for an extra two.
We recommend that little ones are supervised at all times outside as there are hazards on the way down to the beach.

Beach Bliss

This was the perfect get away in an ideal location with easy access to the beach for frequent walks. The views from not only the deck but all living areas were magical. The house was tasteful and welcoming. The attention to detail was impressive - we wanted for nothing and were very comfortable. Thank you for the pure relaxation.

Modern well equipped house

Four friends from Norway had a relaxing time at Clarks Beach. The house was modern and the area was great for sunbathing, walking on the beach, for a swim when the water was high tide or going to a beach close by to deeper water. We had a car and could discover the wonderful area around the West Coast.

Excellent views

We had a lovely stay. Incredibly quiet community and the views are amazing. The house is clean and well appointed- actually better than the photos on the listing. Private access to the beach was fabulous and our kids enjoyed swimming/kayaking at high tide and exploring at low tide. Great coffee from the local golf club, just a ten minute walk away. Would love to stay again.

We loved our beach getaway!

Wonderful property right on the beach. Super clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Cosy when the storm hit and cool and breezy when it was hot. We enjoyed exploring the beach and also being close to Auckland for city activities. Friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

A wonderful break

The view is stunning, easy walking to diary and fish and chip shop. We enjoyed watching the planes across the water go in and out but the noise from this was loud at times. We enjoyed the easy access to the foreshore from the house which was pleasant to stay in. To be on the water to make the most of the view very minute of the day was our highlight as was the week of good weather. What a bonus!

Cozy Honeymoon Stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay!! The home was very clean and the owners are very responsive! They gave helpful information about the area and the home is in a very nice, quiet area! Perfect for a get away to see amazing Auckland and surrounding areas! We would definitely stay here again!!

Something fishy

This is the third time we have stayed at this property and it never disappoints. The one small(ish) complaint I have this time is that the fridge and freezer both smelled strongly of fish. I would assume this was caused by a guest rather than the owner as the place was otherwise and always is beautifully clean.
