Baggies on Dutchies is only a short 200mtr walk to Dutchman's Beach and 400mtr walk to Bagnall's Beach where the dogs can enjoy running along the beach. The reserve has a fantastic child's playground, grass picnic area with tables and chairs and free BBQ facilities.
Walk out the front door of Baggies on Duchies and you are on the famous Bridal Pathway, this path is very popular for walking and cycling. Only 1.5kms the path leads all the way into Nelson Bay CBD and the D'Albora Marina where you will find many restaurants, cafes, boutique shops and an abundance of exciting aquatic activities.
The two-storey house has beautifully landscaped gardens and is designed to accommodate two families, it offers comfortable furnishings throughout and great indoor/outdoor living areas.
Upstairs is the air-conditioned open plan living and dining area has a ceiling fan and filtered water views with glass sliding doors that open out onto the full-length undercover balcony with outdoor dining. Also, on this level are two of the bedrooms with the main bedroom having a ceiling fan and access to the balcony.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and full-size fridge/freezer and plenty of bench space to prepare meals. The main bathroom is located on the upstairs level, it has a fabulous corner spa bath, glass shower, vanity and toilet. Also on this level there is a laundry with a front loader washing machine, dryer and the third toilet.
A spiral staircase leads from upstairs down to the second living area which has a split system air conditioner and kitchenette.
Opening off from the second living area is the full-length covered verandah and outdoor lounge overlooking the front grassed yard. Downstairs there is also the third and fourth bedrooms and another bathroom with a standard size bath, separate shower, vanity and toilet.
Enclosed back yard which is perfect for your fur baby.

(f) intentionally, recklessly or negligently damage the personal property of neighbours of the premises or other occupants of a strata or community scheme.
This property is approved for holiday accommodation only, no extra bedding mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed.
After hour emergency service is available 24/7 during your stay.
If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property immediately with no refund of monies.

The property was secure for a small dog and close to the beach. Great weather and lots to do around Nelson Bay.

We had a great overall stay, the checkin was very easy, the house was clean, and the property was in an amazing location. The house was very spacious and comfortably fit our group of seven. It would have been nice to have a few more essential items supplied such as cleaning products and more toilet paper but was still an amazing property and would definitly stay again.

Home away from home
We so loved our stay here. The beds were so comfortable we didn’t even remember falling asleep in them. We caught stunning sunrises on the beach where we gasped at the beauty side by side with friendly locals. It was a bit far to walk to town with our old dog but that didn’t bother us.

Great spot, lovely home
Went for long weekend with another couple. Setup is great with upstairs and downstairs which can fit a family in each. Enjoyed sunny mornings and early afternoon on the verandah, and the walking track and beach right out the front. Well stocked kitchen too. The main bedroom upstairs needs a door, but we’ll come back again for sure.

The house was spotless. However, it is right on the corner of a busy road so it was noisy in the morning. Overall, the house was a lot older and more basic than we had expected from photos. It was also very dark inside needing to have lights on through the day The carpet was threadbare in places and the property outside was needing some attention. It felt like a lot of money for what it was. The water views are there but not spectacular as bush now covers most of it. Disappointed.

Lovely view - comfortable enough home
We rented to bring together two families and the split living rooms really worked. That said, the bunk beds are unsafe - they creak and wobble at the slightest push. Consequently, the kids slept on the lounges or shared with adults so it was very cramped. Mattresses need updating as well. Otherwise, bit noisy from road traffic but overall great spot.
