This one-bedroom ground floor unit in a small block of only 5 apartments located directly across the road from Shoal Bay Beach, offers a private balcony with outdoor setting & open plan kitchen & living room. Guests have access to the laundry with free washing machine & coin operated dryer and ironing facilities, communal BBQ & undercover outdoor picnic table.
Linen provided bring along your beach towels.

An idyllic scene awaits in Shoal Bay, where a wide arc of white sand beach is adorned by a heritage lighthouse on one end and the striking Tomaree Head on the other. This small hamlet is a great base for enjoying the natural wonders of Port Stephens, including spotting dolphins in the wild, and embarking on hikes that finish with unforgettable views. The calm crystal clear waters of Shoal Bay are prefect for swimming, kayaking, fishing and stand up paddle boarding. Ride along and explore the scenic foreshore where you will find picnic tables and barbecue facilities, for the active guests you are able to hire Stand Up Paddle boards and Bikes.

At the eastern end of the bay is the magnificent Tomaree National Park where you can explore the paved Historic Fort Tomaree walk around the headland for the reminders of Australia's World War II coastal defense, from there you can enjoy the Tomaree Head summit walk for amazing breathtaking panorama views of Port Stephens and the NSW North Coast, if your lucky you can even spot whales during their migration season. Take the time to enjoy some of the stunning local beaches in the area Shoal Bay Beach, Zenith Beach, Wreck Beach and Box Beach.
Shoal Bay offers a selection of cafes, restaurants and takeaway fish and chips shops, enjoy a meal over looking Shoal Bay Beach at Shoal Bay Country club or explore the tastes of authentic Greek food at Atmos, take the time to sit and enjoy the views of Shoal Bay at Port Stephens Game Fish Club.

Pets are NOT welcome at this property.

The charging of any electric vehicles, electric bicycle, electric scooter, electric skateboard, segway or other like devices (Electric Personal Mobility Devices) or the battery for an Electric Personal Mobility Device is Prohibited in this property.

To ensure the comfort of our guests and neighbours, we do not accept bookings for 'Schoolies' breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow parties of any sort.

Kindly note a deposit of 50% AUD of total amount will be charged at time of confirmation. An option of direct deposit and credit card is offered.

A 300 Security Deposit (Pre-Authorisation) is to be held. The bond will be processed prior to arrival. We only accept Mastercard or Visa.

You can check in anytime between the hours of 3PM and 5PM on Weekdays. On weekdays after-hours, weekends and public holidays there is an afterhours check-in service. If you require this service, please inform one of the members at LJ Hooker Nelson Bay prior to your day of arrival.

Payment for the booking warrants you and all guests staying will abide by the Code of Conduct for Short Term Rental Accommodation which can be viewed on our website which will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email. This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence.

Terms and conditions apply for this property and payment warrants your agreement and that of all other guests staying at the property with you.

The guests limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission.

If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property Immediately with no refund of monies including security deposit. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited between 10:00 PM and 8.00 AM.

Close to the beach/restaurants

Across the road from the bay, a short walk to the beach, and two blocks from the main cluster of shops in Shoal Bay. My partner and I were happy with our stay.

Relaxing and well positioned

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Shoal Bay. The apartment is located directly opposite the beach, in a quiet location. A easy walk to local cafes and restaurants.

Location of the property is excellent. Basic cooking facilities were poor. There was a request to vacuum the floor but this was hard to do due to the state of the machine provided. We were attending a wedding and there was no iron or blow dryer which was disappointing.

Great Location, close to shops and relatively quite

A small 1 bedroom unit with a quant balcony, plenty of seats across the road to enjoy the view and shops within walking distance. The Bedroom and main living area could use a ceiling fan especially during the summer months. All in all value for money for a short stay

Just the getaway I needed, at a great price too. Thank you!

Great location across from the beach, walking distance to local shops and cafes. Clean and well equipped. Was very comfortable for one person, would be great for a couple but maybe a little cramped for three or four. Bed very comfortable. Only negative comment is the hedge at the front blocks what would be a better view of the water, however it does offer privacy on the balcony. Also noticed there was no iron or ironing board which is listed in the facilities. Thankfully I didn’t need to use them.

A beachside bed to rest your head

The property management went above what I expected, our midnight arrival was no drama at all. I wasn't expecting sparkling wine and a goodie bag to go with our stay. We had the most relaxing long weekend. I'd love to come back and stay where we did. The best part was falling to sleep to the sound of the waves lapping up along the shore with the roar of Zenith in the background. Then waking up in our familiar bedding to the beach only footsteps away. The clean fresh coast breeze was wonderful too.

A little slice of heaven at Shoal Bay

Though small, the unit was very clean and had all the necessary kitchen equipment needed for a quick holiday break. The bed was comfortable and the free Wifi was great. The only thing I would suggest is that the front bushes be trimmed a little bit to get a glimpse of the sea - just enough for that while retaining privacy. We were very impressed with the L.J. Hooker staff, especially Sarah who was very responsive when we had a bit of an emergency. Very helpful and friendly caretaker as well.
