Wairangi Beach Cottage - Paihia Beach House

Wairangi is a 4 bedroom beach house located in the historic precinct of Paihia and situated on the site of the first Mission House erected by the Rev.Henry Williams. This Paihia Beach holiday house has beachfront views and a gorgeous grassed area perfect for families and friends - and includes free Wi-Fi.

This Paihia Beach holiday home is a wonderful retreat for a relaxing holiday - be it sleeping peacefully in the comfortable beds or sipping chilled wine from crystal glasses!

This holiday home features a spacious living/dining area with french doors from both areas leading out onto a large timber deck with unobstructed sea views, a new kitchen and 4 double bedrooms. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, two containing 1 Queen bed each, and one containing 2 King Single beds. The main bathroom is located upstairs also. The fourth bedroom is downstairs with a queen size bed. There is shower & toilet downstairs. A port-a-cot is available, making this property perfect for couples or families.

The Paihia beach accommodation is located on the waterfront and across the road from the beach allowing this beach house to have stunning views out to and across the water. Fall asleep to the sound of the lapping waves and wake up to the magic of ocean liners berthed in the Bay!

Even in winter, experience the rich heritage of the area - Waitangi, Kerikeri, Russell. Visit Cape Reinga and experience the enjoyment of sliding down the sand dunes, eat fish and chips on the wharf at Mangonui or book an enthralling deep sea fishing trip.

Modern amenities also include a 42" TV, DVD, CD Player, dishwasher, microwave, heat pump/air-conditioner. All of this plus you will be just minutes away from the shops, cafes, ferries and all leisure activities!

Come and enjoy the magic of The Bay of Islands in pampered style at an affordable price!
As the property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

Due to the proximity to town, there may be some noise heard from the property.

Beautiful View From Front Deck

The front of the house is spectacular - great view of the bay and spacious deck! We enjoyed many mornings and evenings there. The location was good - walking distance to restaurants and the wharf / ferry. It’s not a huge house, but 7 of us were comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay in Paihia!

We had 6 adults in our family party and we all loved the property . It was warm spacious and comfortable as well as clean and tidy . The kitchen was very well set up. Great views from the front deck and a prime location so it was very easy walk into town .

A Christmas to remember

A beautiful, well appointed beach house right across the road from the beach!! The owners have thought of everything. Games for the kids, a fully equipped kitchen, tastefully decorated. There was even a Christmas tree which was a nice surprise 😊. We will definitely book again!

Bag of Islands base

We stayed here for 4 short nights, wish we had longer. Paihia is a lovely township & the property is easy walking distance to everything you need. Waitangi is close by & worth the visit. Cape Reinga a big day trip but doable. Loved being across the road from the beach & hearing the waves in the night. Would love to visit again & stay longer to enjoy more of the surroundings.

Family Holiday

The place is beautiful, clean and tidy. The Bach Manager is very helpful and accommodating. No problem checking in and out of the property. Overall a very good holiday.

Lovely home with Paihia's biggest tree in the front yard

Lovely home with Paihia's biggest tree in the front yard. View of the sea and surf, walking distance to the wharf ferry, restaurants and shopping. There was a bit of noise at night maybe from a couple blocks away, but nothing that would deter us from staying here again. Perfect space for our group of 5 women to each have our own comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, 2 toilets and showers. Thanks to Stacey property mgr for helping us feel at home!

Fantastic location, right next to a beach - just a road separating it. Beach fab for swimming and has diving raft. Property contains everything needed for a comfortable stay. Some reviews complained about noise. I heard a little in the early hours but I'm a light sleeper. Husband and kids slept very well. Would definitely stay again. If I'm being picky, the tap water tasted of chlorine but it was like that in the area. It may be just different to UK. Plenty to do in Pahia. Loved it. Sad to go!

Fantastic property, perfect location and a great space for 6 adults and a toddler. Had everything we needed, and we loved BBQing on the front deck looking out at the sea! The only drawback was the noise at night time, because it is on the main road opposite the beach there were parties across the road every night until 4am, and drag races down the road throughout the night. Something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper!
