Eagle Cove Retreat is located directly across the street from the waterā€™s edge in Big Bearā€™s most prestigious neighborhood, Eagle Point. You will have direct lake access by walking just two minutes down the street to the public access road. Come and enjoy our best of Big Bear UNOBSTRUCTED, SPECTACULAR, PANORAMIC LAKE VIEWS from the homeā€™s upstairs great room that features vaulted ceilings, a spacious open floorplan, and floor to ceiling windows. You may also choose to enjoy the view from the huge front balcony that can be accessed from both the great room and master suite or the downstairs game room. The breathtaking lake views are sure to impress even the most particular of travelers.

The home is spacious, well maintained, tastefully decorated and we have VERY HIGH CLEANING STANDARDS, as reflected in our very strong 4.9 review average. As a convenience to our guests, our property manager is on call daily to answer any questions that you may have during your stay.

Eagle Cove is a two story luxury home boasting an open concept, spacious floor plan. The expansive interior allows plenty of room to accommodate large rental parties and multiple families traveling together. The upstairs great room and downstairs game room offer two large, separate living areas for guests to spread out. The kids can challenge each other to a game of pool or Pac-Man in the game room, while the adults enjoy a quiet dinner in the great room aside the sweeping lake views. Both rooms feature comfortable couches, smart tvs, floor to ceiling wood burning fireplaces to complete the modern, high-end, yet cozy atmosphere.

The Pac-Man machine features 60 old school games, super fun for kids and adults alike!

The homeā€™s kitchen is conveniently located just off of the great room. It is clean, fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and very well stocked with all of the comforts of home.

Eagle Cove Retreat is also a rare find for pet owners that are looking for a luxury home that allows their furry family members! The yard is fully gated and pet safe. We welcome up to three pre-approved dogs with a pet fee - $100 for one or two dogs, $125 for our max of three dogs.

**Because of the very high cost of utilities on the mountain, groups of 10 to 12 guests are subject to $75 large party fee. The upstairs/downstairs spacious/open floorplan works perfect for large groups and three showers makes getting ready in a large group more realistic. Fee charged after booking.

Great cabin for 6 adults. It says 10 adults, but upstairs there is only comfortable seating for 6. You could split up and have some people sit downstairs.However, the heat didnā€™t work downstairs.Nice view of lake. Kitchen was well equipped, but there drawers full of dull knives, multiple duplicates of cooking utensils, no ice maker and old food and oil in the pantry. Used bars of soap in the downstairs shower and Preparation H in the drawer.(ick). The place really needs a deep clean dirty ceiling fans, back screens caked with dirt and the floor was sticky. The fireplaces were great and very cozy. The pool table and pac man game were fun. All of the provided games were torn apart and just pieces and cards dumped in the drawers. Worn out couch pillows need to be tossed, but the blankets provided were nice. Overall a good experience, but I have had much better for the cost in Big Bear.

Had a great stay here over Thanksgiving with the family. The home is very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need to make Thanksgiving dinner. The bonus was the beautiful sunsets we enjoyed over the lake which was directly across the street.

Julie was great! She was very helpful and answered all my questions. The home is in a great location, close to the village and the lake. The home is clean and well stocked with all your needs, including extra blankets to keep you warm in winter. The kitchen has just about every utensil and appliance needed.

The house was very nice. I took my son and some friends for a few days. House was fully stocked with pots and pans, plenty of bakeware and cups, wine glasses, coffee maker, most everything you need. There is no access to a dock so that was disappointing bc I thought it was lakefront, but the place was clean with plenty of room. The kids had the entire downstairs to themselves and I stayed upstairs in the large master. House got a hot during the day but the fans helped and there are plenty in the house. Nothing much to walk to but there is a nice park a few blocks away with a beach volleyball court.

The home was great! It was clean and well-stocked (except with coffee). The home's location and views were fantastic and the fenced in yard was perfect for our pups. We loved having so much space and the rec room with the arcade machine and pool table made it fun for the whole family.

Absolutely loved this beautiful home! We had a party of 11 (4 of them were teens) and the house was the perfect size. Close to the lake, grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. Check-in was easy, house was immaculate and there were plenty of houseware supplies for cooking. The teens (as well as adults) were entertained with the pool table, video games, air hockey and corn hole that were available at the house, not a bored body in sight!!! I was impressed with the "home guide" that provided fishing locations, hiking locations etc! It really helps when you're not a local. I was concerned before arrival when I learned that there was no central A/C, however there is a wall unit in the upstairs family room and multiple fans throughout the house. I admit I am a grouchy person in the heat but it was perfect with the a/c and fans. Downstairs stayed pretty cool all the time. I just advise to keep window shades closed during those peak sun hours to keep it cool. Julie was great with suggestions of activities and dining before we even arrived in Big Bear. It helped us plan activities for the whole family ahead of arrival.

Lovely home in peaceful neighborhood

My friends and I really enjoyed ourselves when we stayed at this property. It was spacious enough for our group of 11. The kitchen had everything we needed to whip up meals and we utilized the grill often. The location was great, just minutes away from the town and store to pick up supplies. The host was amazing and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of.

Peaceful Home

I just returned from a rejuvenating weekend in Big Bear, and it was truly the most peaceful vacation I've had in a long time. The house is amazing , The scenery was breathtaking, with stunning views that enhanced the tranquil atmosphere. The neighborhood was quiet, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Both the kids and adults were thoroughly happy, enjoying everything the cabin and surrounding area had to offer. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. I can't wait to go back!

Spring Break by Big Bear Lake

Julie was very humble from the very beginning. She communicated fast, she opened her beautiful home to my family and I, she was very helpful with supplies, she just was an amazing host! We had never seen it actually snow and it was amazing! Her home was comfortable, warm, and cozy. I loved the upstairs view. We were able to see the stars with my moms telescope. It was so cold outside, but her home had everything. Movies, games, even a pool table. I definetly recommed staying in her home. I would most likely come back again next time when i save money. Thank you Julie for sharing your home and being the best host ever on Vrbo! You deserve an extra star!

This home was absolutely perfect for our multigenerational visit. The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked meals and baked cookies & cakes. The home was very clean. VRBO users themselves, the Hardys are excited to share their dream home with other families through the VRBO website. Upon purchasing the home, the family did an extensive update to the furnishing and decor. Everything is clean, new and ready for guests.

Julie Christensen, a long time VRBO host herself, took over management of Eagle Cove Retreat in March of 2019. A seasoned host, Julie knows exactly what visiting guests expect and is ready to give five star service from the start of the booking process to check-out. She will be on call throughout your entire stay to assist you.
