This fully self contained apartment has lots of character and fantastic views of the Caribbean Sea and the fishing village of Laborie. Wake up to the sounds of the ocean and the lovely sounds of humming birds. You will be enthralled with the hypnotic view of the Caribbean Sea while you watch the sun set over the sea.

Walk down the steps and enjoy the warm Caribbean Sea or you can just relax on the beach.

Laborie is a fishing village and not a bustling city. So you will be able to relax and truly enjoy island living.

Restaurants and grocery stores in town (within 5mins walking distance)

It is only 5 minutes away from the Vieux Fort International Airport.

The minimum booking for this apartment is two nights.

Nice town, bad experience with the Studio

There are several apartments in this villa. We were given the studio facing the beach park below our windows. During our weekend stay for 3 nights the noise level from the music/speakers in this park was unbearable, no help from earplugs, old windows were not closing at all, crowds of people were gathering right below our windows. At 2 am, we felt like in torture chamber with no escape from the noise. We travel a lot and can really tolerate noise, but not to this degree. The studio itself is not well maintained, kitchen cabinet door fell off from a first touch, bathroom door got locked and we called the manager for help. In addition, when we left, the owner did not return our security deposit until I filed the complaint. Instead, the manager Tyrone wrote a note claiming the damages and the studio condition on us. I book my vacation rentals from various websites often and this is my first outrageous negative review! It is a very beatiful island, very welcoming people in Laborie but 3 nights of our stay in this studio have been ruined!

Beautiful Island and Beautiful People

We stayed at the Beachfront Apartment for 16 days and wish we could of stayed longer. The Saint Lucian people living in the town of Laborie are warm and make you feel welcome to their island. Tyrone the apartment manager was extremely accommodating and helpful. We had a wonderful time and will remember Tyrone and the friends we met in Saint Lucian fondly.

we really liked the sound of the water hitting the rocks, it really helped us sleep, very nice view,

very good location, so close to the beach, the staff was very good about helping us. felt very safe ,enjoyed the front terrace and back balcony, which face the sea. the local people are very friendly, and always ready to help. We really enjoyed our vacation, Lucie, Glenn Rinkenberger

Loved staying here!

This was a perfect place for us to stay. It was centrally located to many of the places that we visited on the island. It was clean and just steps from the beach. Tyrone and Merla were great about helping with anything we needed. Only 2 drawbacks - the loud karaoke on Sunday nights at the beachfront bar went until 2 am (bring ear plugs, we are glad we did and run the fan) and the screens didn't keep out mosquitoes (bring bug spray with you). In fact, one of the bedroom windows didn't have a screen on it, just slats. I am sure that they will remedy this issue. Other than those two items, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was wonderful!

Ocean breeze

Enjoyed being right on the ocean. Fish readily available and grapefruit, bananas etc. Bakery is an easy walk. Only downfall is to be aware of local bar with loud music. Some nights of restless sleep because of volume. Great help by cleaning staff, Merla who is very attentive and helpful.

Had a great time in small fishing town of Laborie!!!

The apartment was exactly what we needed and Tyrone couldn't have been more accommodating. We used him for rides to sulpher springs and some other adventures (for some EC of course). He helped us find places to eat and answered any questions we had. If you are looking for an upscale, expensive, touristy area this won't be for you. This is a very local, small town. You can walk to everything, get inexpensive local food, and relax. Just don't go around New Years - the music at the park by this apartment was blasting music until late at night due to New Years celebrations that last for a few days. We did travel to the north western part of the island via bus from Vieuxfort to see what Castries and Marigot Bay were like. You can get some great meals, especially in Marigot Bay at Rainforest hideaway if looking to have an upscale dinner. Out of Marigot Bay you can do sunset cruises, snorkel trips, etc. For local spots, make sure to visit Mama Tillys and Wilson at the cafe on the beach (we ate most meals at both of these spots). They make you feel like family and provide great service. Again - this is the perfect spot if looking for a small, relaxed, non-touristy town. Big shout out to our man Tyrone who helped make this trip great.

Simple appartment away from crowds...

We were looking for a place that is far away from tourists. The apartment is simple but clean, steps from a beach. Laborie is a quiet fishing village. There is a good restaurant on the beach close to the pier, we ate almost every dinner over there. We were discovering island using local buses, it is cheap and fast to get you to any place. We skipped north of the island and stayed in the south , away from tourists. So if you like big tourists centers and shopping stores ,this place is not for you. Loud music from the beach can be annoying. The manager took us from and back to the airport and helped us with all issues we had immediately. I wish I can come back again.

The real St Lucia! Great location right by the ocean!

Excellent location right by the beach and everything comes as advertised apart from the location! At the time of writing this review the location of the apartment on the VRBO website was being displayed on the map as many miles away from the ocean; this is incorrect - the apartment is located in the village of Laborie, a small and lovely fishing village; in fact, and the apartment is right by the beach, as close as you can get! A private path leads from the apartment to the beach. The apartment has an outdoor shower which comes in handy after spending time on the lovely beach, where snorkeling by a small reef near land is possible. The apartment is cozy and has a balcony overlooking the beach and a park by the beach. We used the kitchen several times with no problem; all things you need to prepare meals are available. The bed is also very comfortable. The bedroom is facing away from the ocean so the waves did not wake us up but you will be able to hear vehicles driving by as the apartment is right by the main road out of town. We found this location extremely convenient to catch busses to nearby attractions north and south of Laborie. There is a very similar apartment available through VRBO in the same building as well, which has a larger kitchen area and living room and a balcony and bedroom directly facing the ocean, which we also stayed in. The apartment was spotlessly cleaned prior to arrival and once during our stay. The owner provided excellent customer service; the local manager picked us up at the airport and the caretaker Dave hooked us up with a local fisherman when we wanted to buy fish. Fruits and some vegetables can be bought roadside in the village; for better selection, check out nearby Vieux fort or Soufriere. Locals like to see who can blasts the loudest music out of their cars by the beach. Still highly recommended!

Perfect!

Im not sure where even to begin... This was one of the BEST vacations we've ever had! My only complaint was that we stayed for 7days and not 14!! Lol Our liaison Dave was AMAZING.. and necessary to get the most out of staying in St. Lucia. Dave answered every question we had was very attentive, and will be the reason we come back. A connection to the locals is so nice to have. We felt that we wanted a car to be able to explore the entire island and Dave connected us to Fransis, a man who owns a local car rental and someone I highly recommend. He lived in the states for a number of years and is very friendly. Dave also connected us to Lincoln a local fisherman and the "lobster man" which was incredible.. Having freshly caught fish grilled on the beach in the evenings is a must! We fell in love with Laborie.. The apartment was simple and perfect. The little kitchen was perfect and if we didn't have something we needed Dave just got it for us.. It IS just steps to the beach.. And in the best part of Laborie. Our cleaning lady was very sweet and accomidating. The island is mountainous and you really need a "jeep" type of vehicle to tackel the roads. But its a must to see all of interesting little towns. There is a huge market in Castries thats really fun for a day trip. We toured all of the beaches and loved Abse Chastena. We were very happy with our stay.. And WILL be renting again. Thank you for an amazing experience St.Lucia! <3
