Family friendly self catering accommodation. Holiday (40 sq.m.) offers all the necessary after furnishings for a relaxing, yet exciting holiday for up to 6 people. This apartment is located directly at the forest edge. A connection to the network of hiking trails in Thüringen is given. Washing machine with drying function, foot bath, a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator and freezer etc. is part of the decor of the apartment. The bathroom has both bath and shower function. Hiking maps are available and may be used in the home. TV with satellite and DVD players are provided with the game port. Board games for adults and children make for more entertainment possibilities. The apartment is located in the city of Weimar, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its old town that is a 10 minute bus ride away.

That being said, I am a host that enjoys giving people insider tips to make their stays more enjoyable. I often ask guests what cultural things they are especially attracted to and then gather information for my guests about current cultural activities in the area that meet those interests. I might not always be on hand to hand over the key personally, but I do try to help my guests make the very most of their time in Weimar and surrounding areas.

Aufenthalt in Weimar

Wir waren nur für ein Wochenende in Weimar und insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit unserer Unterkunft. Die Lage direkt am Wald war für uns und unseren Hund sehr gut.

Das war nicht unsere Vorstellung von Ruhe

Die Information, dass die Wohnung in einem Wohnkomplex liegt wäre für uns wichtig gewesen.Da die Wohnung ungewohnt hellhörig ist, erwacht man mit allen Menschen die morgens um 6:30 zur Arbeit gehen. Auch sonst bekommt man den Wutausbruch der Kinder darüber immer mit. Leider ist das Wohnzimmer aktuell immer dunkel, man braucht schon morgens Licht. Das es in der Ferienwohnung einen Versorgungsschrank gibt sind wir gewohnt, allerdings waren die Schränke alle irgendwie so voll, daß wir nichts weg hängen konnten. Auch irritiert hat uns der volle Schuhschrank! Die Dusche sollte man mit einem Vorhang erweitern, da es sonst schwierig ist das Bad trocken zu halten. Eine Internetanbindung gibt es nicht (wurde im Onlineauftritt mittlerweile korrigiert). Ein parken ist nur im öffentlichen Parkraum möglich. Der versprochene Ruhepol stellte sich leider nicht ein. Man hatte das Gefühl als wäre der Wohnung in 2016 der Stecker gezogen worden. Da Prospekte und Telefonbücher (??) alle von vor 2016 waren. Daher können wir diese Wohnung leider nicht empfehlen. Ein- und auschecken war kein Problem, wenn auch im Nachbarort. Der Schlüssel konnte bei der freundlichen Verwalterin abgeholt werden. Die Info die automatisch hierzu von Fewo verschickt wurde, war leider auch 6 Jahre alt und nicht mehr aktuell. Weimar und Umgebung hat uns gut gefallen, wir haben viel besucht und besichtigt. Mit Hund war der Wald absolut von Vorteil.

Enttäuschender Aufenthalt durch nachlässigen Verwalter.

Unser Aufenthalt in der am Waldrand gelegenen "Bauhauswohnung" Weimar-Schöndorf war leider von Enttäuschungen geprägt. So wurden wir bei unserer Ankunft von einem minderjährigen Jungen empfangen, der die Wohnungsschlüssel aushändigte und ansonsten nicht viel zu sagen wusste. Der Verwalter war nicht anwesend. Ich rief ihn daraufhin an, um das WLAN-Passwort zu erfahren. Leider war er über den gesamten Zeitraum unseres Aufenthalts nicht in der Lage, uns weiterzuhelfen. Wir blieben also ohne den versprochenen Internetzugang. Am Abend stellten wir dann zu unserem Entsetzen fest, dass das Schrankbett (Murphy bed) nicht benutzbar ist, weil die Liegefläche nicht richtig abgestützt werden kann. Es stellte sich im Gespräch mit der Vermieterin später heraus, dass dies bei ordentlicher Vorbereitung durch den Verwalter hätte vermieden werden können und sollen. Genauso verhielt es sich mit dem Tiefkühlschrank, der nicht in Betrieb war. Zudem fehlten in der "voll ausgestatteten" Küche z.B. Wasserkocher und Eierbecher (ausgerechnet zu Ostern) und die herausziehbare Arbeitsplatte über dem Tiefkühler war nicht benutzbar, da festgeklemmt. Abgesehen von den vermeidbaren Mängeln in der Wohnung war das gleichgültige Verhalten des Verwalters für uns besonders störend. Er war in keiner Weise hilfreich und so erhielten wir nicht die versprochene und bezahlte Leistung. Die Vermieterin selbst war kommunikativ (E-Mail) und im Vorfeld bemüht, uns einen schönen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen.

zu wenig lebensraum, zu dunkel, kaum Taglicht

Dieses FeWo is fur max 2 personen, und nicht fur max 6 personen. Da war kein raum fur unsere eigene Sachen. Die Schranke ware ausgestopft mit die Sachen von die Vermieter. Wir fuhlten uns deshalf nich wirklich wilkommen. Dabei war die FeWo sehr dunkel. Wir haben diese FeWo nach wenige Nachten verlassen um nach ein anderes Adresse zu gehen.

Well furnished spacious apartment

We stayed for 5 days about 3 weeks ago, a bit late with the review cus we then travelled round Germany and Holland for a couple of weeks. The apartment was fairly easy to find and we could park easily. A small disappointment in that we were told it was on the ground floor, well it was, but up 5 steps. What we were expecting was a flat with a door opening directly outside, we have a dog so easy access to outside is needed. It was actually a flat in a block of flats with a front door opening into a corridor then 5 steps, then the front/back door. However, having said all that, the bus into Weimar stopped just a the end of the road, there was a supermarket just up the road and the wood at the back of the flats went on forever and felt incredibly safe. So all in all a good base and we would stay again if going to that part of Germany.
