Oceanfront Ground-Floor Condo – Lanai, A/C, Steps to Sugar Beach

You can't get closer to the ocean! Step off of the lanai on to the grass and take a couple of steps to the sand. This is truly an oceanfront condo. The Fully equipped kitchen is open to the living and dining areas creating a large living space. The bedroom has a king bed and the bathroom is just off of the bedroom. The living room has a sofa bed, allowing this condo to accommodate up to four people. Great value on an Ocean Front condo located on the Ground Floor, just steps from the beach and the Ocean.

Note: Each year the pool will be closed for repairs for two weeks, starting the second week of September. This year (2025) the Sugar Beach Resort pool area will be closed beginning 9/08/25 and reopening 9/24/25.

Footsteps away from a lovely beach. Loved paddling the ocean and taking great walks along the shore that goes for miles. Heaven!

Wonderful stay! There is no better place to stroll the beach or watch the sunset. From the moment you wake until you call it a night the view is yours to savour.

Great Location

There were 2 minor maintenance issues initially that were quickly resolved the next day. Location is awesome, and condo was perfect for 2 people.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Amazing Location, Condo could benefit from some upgrades

Overall let me say, the location is amazing. It doesn't get better; however, the condo could benefit from some minor updates inside. These are really a matter of preference. Newer coffee pot, toaster, non-stick pots and pans, TV in the bedroom. Would I stay here again, absolutely, would I double check some of the other rooms next door first, most likely. Again, it's just about preference. Other than that, having your own non-public beach 1 min walking distance from your condo is unbeatable.

Needs yearly upkeeping

The unit is "tired". Cobwebs in hard to reach places, major chair in living room is broken, couch cushions smell of body odor, sand chair is sticky, kitchen knives desperately need sharpening!! Need accessible outlets in bedroom for charging phones, etc (a lamp with usb outlets would be helpful). Bulb out in bathroom.

Sugarbeach #127

Sugarbeach is our go to place for relaxation and vitamin sea.. love the view,, location,, quiet, Sandwitch bar.....I needed assistance a couple times during our stay and the rental company was there for us 100%. Great customer service! The room was clean and tidy when we arrived. I read reviews about the condo that mention a need for updating in the bathroom, which is true and I knew that going in. The shower head is perfect for me but not my 6' husband but we managed. The bed was cozy, plenty of extras for our stay. All in all a wonderful stay and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Big Joe float for pool was amazing! I just bought one for home!

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Sugar Breach resort for obvious reason and have there multiple times. The actual resort is starting to look tired and need of some basic upkeep like paint. However unit 127 was probably the worst unit we have stayed in, in need of updating, appliances etc. The wall and door frames were dirty and chipped everywhere, a broken chair in the living room and smelly carpeting in the bedroom.

Long beach walks await you. Condo itself was a bit dated, which was fine.Beach chairs were a nice touch. There was a strange noise that sounded like a shower/faucet going off, but we don't think it could be that. Only bc it would happen frequently, with the same timing. We did get contacted about Pest Control coming in the day of arrival. We requested no spray for our stay. Perhaps they did spray bc we did smell it and had an allergy attack. :( Otherwise the facility was good on using low-scented cleaning products. Or perhaps it was the cleaning products and not the spray? It is one big building so who knows if the off gassing was passed through the shared vent system?Not the resorts fault, but noise level in the morning from families (before 8) was def a downer. This may be all resorts in HI.Would def recommend to families. Not sure if we would stay at this one again. Perhaps an upper floor would be better?Overall, not a bad stay, but not ideal for the money.

The view was amazing! The air conditioning was certainly a plus. We love the Sugar Beach Resort complex. Great pool, pool area and hot tub. The unit specially was not very clean. The bed sagged so badly on one side that we had to turn it 90 degrees and sleep the short way. We reported it, and they said they would let the owner know. There was no action taken. The last two days were dominated by a major leak in the kitchen and bathroom from some problem above the unit. They had industrial humidifiers that were loud hot and smelly the last day. While we certainly understand these things happen. There was never any offer to give us access to another unit or to discount refund the days affected. This was our 5th trip to Maui and 2nd at Sugar Beach Resort. Sugar Beach is a great spot but I would be very cautious working with Maui Condo and Home.

We feel that there needs to be some updating of the particular the very tired bathroom....maybe rip out that old tub and just have a nice clean shower! Also, the cleaning cupboard and bedroom closet could be sorted out, organized and cleaned...and maybe some supplies (Windex, kitchen spray, etc.) could be included so we can help keep your unit nice.That being said, we had a wonderful time and the property managers responded immediately to fix the broken sliding doors in the bedroom.We would rent this unit again.

Beautiful beach front condo

There is a grassy area for kids to play and plants guarding direct access to the water making a protective barrier for kids. It is an easy walk to the water to swim and boogie board. Towels will get stolen off the porch so don’t leave anything out. Pool was also great on the facility as well as grills. Pullout sofa worked well for our 2 young kids to sleep on and the bedroom bed was comfy. East booking of property and helpful staff to arrange activities. My family is not interested in downtowns or shopping so this location was nice and quiet for us.

Gorgeous Sunsets

The location of the property is fabulous. You can overlook the bay with boats going by and watch whales while the sun sets. It is a very relaxing place. The property and furniture is a little dated. The shower fan and refrigerator were very noisy. The lounge chair on the terrace was ripped so it could not be used. The property is well equipped and it was very relaxing to stay there. We would visit again but it would be nice if it was a little more updated, particularly considering the cost.

Perfect spot in paradise

This was our second stay at Sugar Beach and we'll be back again someday! The resort is well maintained and is a prime central location for being able to easily explore the island in any direction. Lovedbeing on the ground floor as well - beautiful views and so nice being just steps away from the beach.

Delightful little holiday knook

We had a lovely stay at this place. It was quiet and full of families. The unit was well equipped for all our needs. The only complaint is that the bed felt like there was an indent on my side which made sleeping a bit awkward but otherwise it was a really nice place.

True Oceanfront Condo

Very nice, but small unit. Good size for a couple. Great location. Direct oceanfront with beautiful views.. Well equipped . Very small bathroom. Could use more than one beach towel and perhaps a TV for the bedroom. Wi- fi very spotty. No wi-fi in bedroom.
