Interior renovation planned for January 2027. The calendar is closed January 4 for 4 weeks for renovation and reopening preparations. Current photos show the original interior; updated photos will follow completion.



The Space:

INTERIOR RENOVATION — JANUARY 2027

Penthouse 5506 is scheduled for an interior renovation beginning January 4, 2027. We have reserved January 4 through February 25 for construction and preparations for reopening.

The planned improvements include an updated kitchen with new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, sink and hardware; refreshed bathrooms with new vanities, countertops, toilets, and floor and tub-wall tile; new flooring in the kitchen, living area, stairs and landing; and updated trim and fresh paint.

For stays before January 4, 2027: The apartment will be in its current condition, as shown in the existing photographs.

For stays after the renovation is completed: Guests will enjoy the updated interiors along with the penthouse’s spacious duplex layout, two-story living room, gas fireplace, and lake and skyline views.

Current photographs show the apartment before renovation. We will replace the affected interior photographs with photographs of the completed 5506 once the work is finished. The apartment will not host guests during construction.



This is not simply another downtown 3-bedroom apartment. It is a true 55th-floor duplex penthouse with approximately 2,200 sq. ft. of living space, spectacular views, and room for up to 8 guests.



The centerpiece of the penthouse is the dramatic two-story living room, where soaring floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of Chicago and Lake Michigan. The iconic John Hancock Center (875 N Michigan) anchors the skyline, creating an impressive backdrop day and night.



When Navy Pier's seasonal fireworks are scheduled, you can even enjoy the show from high above the city without leaving the penthouse.



A gas fireplace provides another focal point for the living area, while the spacious duplex layout gives families, friends and groups plenty of room to gather together or spread out.

For families and larger groups, this can be especially convenient—you can arrive in Chicago, collect your pre-ordered groceries downstairs, and head straight up to your 55th-floor penthouse.



The Neighborhood:

The penthouse is located in the heart of River North, one of Chicago's most vibrant and walkable downtown neighborhoods.



Restaurants, nightlife, shopping, coffee shops and entertainment surround the building. Many of River North's most popular restaurants are just outside your door.



The Chicago Riverwalk and Magnificent Mile are an easy walk, putting some of Chicago's best-known attractions, shopping and dining within convenient reach.



One of the best parts of the location is the contrast: enjoy everything downtown Chicago has to offer, then return to the space and privacy of your 55th-floor penthouse above the city.

For the security of our guests and the property, we require a **government-issued photo ID and complete guest list** prior to check-in.



**NO SECURITY DEPOSIT OR CREDIT-CARD HOLD**

While identification and a guest list are required, **we do not require a security deposit or credit-card security hold**.



**CHILDREN & FAMILIES**

Children are welcome. A **Pack 'n Play is available upon request** to make traveling with little ones easier.

The penthouse includes an **in-unit washer and dryer**, with **laundry detergent and fabric softener provided** for your convenience.

Discounted **in-building parking is available for $46/day**, subject to availability.



NAVY PIER FIREWORKS

Navy Pier fireworks are seasonal and subject to Navy Pier's schedule, weather conditions, cancellations and changes. Fireworks are not guaranteed during every stay.
