The house has been recently renovated and is decorated beautifully throughout.
There are three bedrooms ( 2 Queen, 1 full ), with plenty of storage space in each
Bath 1: walk in shower
Bath 2: Tub and shower
Sparkling kitchen with new appliances
large airy lounge and eight -person dining area invites you to relax or entertain.
Central air/ heat,
wi-fi and cable TV.
Laundry facilities in the garage
The yard is huge! There is a large lanai which is a wonderful space, even in the rain as it has a solid roof!
The garage accommodates one large or 2 small cars, and there’s plenty of parking space on the driveway.

With 3 beds & 2 baths, Shell Cottage was a great fit for our family of 4 (with two teen boys). Spent hours relaxing on the lanai drinking coffee and enjoying the natural landscaping. The kitchen was clean and modern and had everything we needed. Great location, easily walkable to downtown with Lake Gertrude only a block away. Our host Lynne was very sweet, generous, and responsive. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Lynne!

Beautiful Cottage

I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Mt. Dora. Comfortable beds, room to entertain. I can’t say enough good things. I will definitely be staying here again when I am in town.

Convenient location

The house is well maintained, so are the grounds. There are plenty of rooms for families. The lanai is large enough to accommodate. The garage is prefect addition to park most vehicles. The location is near most tourist attractions and hidden adventures.

Thanksgiving in Shell Cottage

We had a wonderful stay, over Thanksgiving break, at Shell Cottage. The location is perfect and the house was adorable. We had everything we needed for our stay. The lanai and gardens are wonderful and the proximity to the walking trail around Lake Gertrude was great. Beautiful sunsets! Would like to stay at Shell Cottage again in the future!

Lovely house and decorated so tastefully. The gardens were absolutely beautiful! The whole place was perfect and so very relaxing. Every morning sitting out in the Lani with coffee was perfect! We had everything we needed. Do not hesitate to rest this perfect house.We were able to walk to breakfast in the morning. Cody’s was our favorite place with the crustless quiche. In the evenings we walked to the water along the sidewalk. Everyone was so friendly and downtown Mount Dora is so much fun.

Thanksgiving vacation

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home in picturesque Mt Dora. The close proximity to the lake provided beautiful scenery for morning and evening walks. We enjoyed afternoons browsing the unique shops of Mt Dora. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to fix our favorite family meals and a seafood boil for Thanksgiving!! We enjoyed the lanai and backyard gardens for evening relaxation. This home exceeded all of our expectations.

Great location and Very Comfortable

This is the most convenient to our destination Vrbo we've stayed in yet! It was clean, well appointed, located in a nice neighborhood, and filled with everything we needed for a home away from home. The owner quickly responded to all questions. The living areas were nice and spacious. There were plenty of dishes, towels, and the pantry was stocked with things we forgot like honey. Highly recommend this home for a visit to Mt. Dora or the surrounding area.

Charming English Cottage

The cottage was very cute. We felt at home right away. We had everything we needed and then some. Except for coffee, that is. 😉 It was a charming home with lots of character. The gardens were beautiful.

Great birthday getaway to Lake County

We were impressed with how well set up, attractive, and comfortable all the different areas of the house were, from the dining and living rooms to the peaceful lanai, and the bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked. Lynne was very friendly and prompt in responding to questions. The house is in a beautiful and friendly neighborhood, and just a quick walk down to the paved pathway that borders Lake Gertrude.

Perfect in every way!

Location for us was key and this home was perfect! Bonus it was a beautiful, comfortable and newly renovated home. We never expected all the home had to offer: Close to everything! We traveled to many locations and when we came back it felt like home. We enjoyed the lanai which is large and faces the beautiful sunset. We were able to enjoy the quiet feel of a neighborhood and the walking trails were well travelled. It was a wonderful experience one we hope to repeat next year.

Nice place, bad timing.

The house was clean and well maintained but we were there before, during and after Hurricane Milton. The garden sustained minor damage but the house was fine; however, we lost power for 15 hours and had no TV or Internet for our last few days. The owner kept in touch with us during our stay - we certainly don't blame them for the weather or the electric and cable outages.

Lovely home in quiet lake area

We enjoyed our stay at your lovely home. Your decorating style makes it very welcoming. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Well equipped kitchen. Liked having our morning coffee/tea on the screened patio looking out over your garden. We took several walks around the neighborhood and Lake Gertrude, which is one short block away. Always love my time in Mount Dora. Would definitely stay at your adorable house again. P.S. Thank you for the bottle of wine. Very thoughtful.

We chose Pinecrest area as it is very quiet, Lake Gertrude is 4 mins walk away and the town is only a 20 minute walk.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Take a lakeside stroll morning and evening and see otters, bald eagles, pileated woodpeckers, a host of birds and even rabbits. A great way to start and end the day. Sit in the lanai and watch the sun set over the water.
The garden is an ongoing project and we are endeavoring to xeriscape it all, so that irrigation is not necessary. We love more flowers and less lawn!! After 9 years it's still ongoing! See the book in the lounge for photos of the transformation.
