Casa Seco: Close to Taos & Taos Ski Area

Casa Seco is located on an acre of pasture land and within a short walk to the quaint town of Arroyo Seco. This two bedroom airy home has mountain views from every window surrounded by pasture land and an organic farm. Casa Seco is a short distance to the Taos Ski Valley on one end and the Town of Taos on the other. At least three restaurants are within walking distance along with galleries and shops.

Casa Seco is an Adobe home with Southwestern charm. Saltillo tile floors keep this home cool in the summer, in floor heating keeps it cozy in the winter. The kitchen is fully equipped. Sitting area has leather furniture and an ambient kiva fireplace.

Master bedroom has a king size bed that can be broken down to two single beds. Master bath with jacuzzi tub. Second bedroom has two single beds and roll away bed.

Very clean.
There are many fun activities for all ages in the Taos area include: skiing and snowboarding at the Taos ski valley, and 3 other ski areas in close distance, mountain and desert hiking to rivers and waterfalls, rock climbing (we can help with reservations), whitewater rafting and kayaking, hot air ballooning, golf, tennis, and mountain biking. World class restaurants, shops, a cinema, including a weekly art film series, museums, art galleries, classes, and workshops. Something for everyone to enjoy.

The Taos Ski Valley has many fun events throughout the Winter; the Taos Film Festival takes place in March; the World Poetry Bout in June; the Solar Music Festival in July; the Fall Arts Festival in September; Mountain Film Festival and the Balloon Festival in October. Visit the Taos Pueblo the oldest continually occupied structure in North America with tours and several festivals open to the public.

This was a last minute booking that ended up being the best few days of our time in NM! Donna was accomodating, communicative, and gracious, and the house was delightful - comfortable, cozy, clean with all the amenities. We can't wait to come back again, and this time, we're going to spend the whole week here!

Everything was excellent! The only thing that was a little difficult was the beds were a little firm. But some people like beds like that. It was a little difficult for me because I like a soft bed. Other than that, the day was wonderful!

Lovely, Quiet, Clean, Comfy, Mountain View, Nice Yard

Clean & classic Taos house in quiet Arroyo Seco. Other homes/casita nearby but felt private. Huge picture window gave views of Taos Mountain and surrounding peaks from sofa and chair in living room or dining area. Sunset views if we went outside out back. My dog enjoyed the large grassy yard. We were only there 2 days and were gone a lot; kitchen had basics for food prep. We were glad we brought our own coffee. Instructions were clear; photos and house description were accurate in the listing. We would definitely return.

This is our second stay here...

This place is ideally located in Arroyo Seco near Taos Ski Valley. We stayed here with our kids for spring break two years ago and booked it again this year. The host is responsive and it was easy to get in and out. It's a comfortable house for a family and makes it easy for us to enjoy our trip together.

Window to Beauty

This cabin was "just right." Two bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen, and a magnificent view of the mountain. A short walk to Arroyo Seco brings great food, boho galleries, and secret gardens. We loved the location, the quiet setting, and the proximity to Taos.

Gorgeous Views!

Gorgeous views in a very comfortable, well-appointed home made for a great stay! Walking distance to the little village of Arroyo Seco and about a 20-25 minute drive to both Taos and the Ski Valley. The property manager was communicative and gave clear directions and instructions. We loved our visit!

Great Getaway!

It was a very cozy, well kept perfect mountain hideaway. Everything the description of the property said was 100% accurate. Very clean & it had everything we needed. Would recommend this place to anyone heading to Taos, NM. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Perfect spot!

We will definitely be back! A perfect accommodation for a family of 4 with dogs—right between TSV and Taos town for easy access to both. The space was super comfortable, well-laid out, clean, and quiet. Big front yard for the dogs. Love that it had two bathrooms. Donna was very communicative and kind, as well.

Beautiful property, beautiful views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Arroya Seco. We come to Taos every year we can, but have never stayed in this area. We loved exploring the little town and several restaurants with delicious food, and it was close enough to Taos to go into town (farmers market!) without it being burdensome. The home was clean and had everything we needed. There was an issue with the internet service (beyond the control of Donna the owner) but she did everything she could to help solve the problem. We absolutely loved sitting on the couch looking out the huge windows at the autumn colors. Thanks for the great stay!

Another great stay!

Host was very responsive and accommodating. The property met all of our needs. We have enjoyed staying here twice. We loved being out in the country near Arroyo Seco yet so close to the little town and easy access to the highway to Taos and to the ski area and nearby hiking trails. House is quiet, clean and cozy. I also appreciate that the bedding and towels are washed in unscented soap. Thank you for being a great host!

Lovely home and location

This was a perfect house for our family's week-long vacation in Taos. Arroyo Seco had lots of charm, tasty restaurants, and fun shops. We loved that we had close access to hiking trails, the ski valley area, and the city of Taos. The home was well-stocked with kitchen supplies, and our family of four had plenty of room. The patio area had an excellent view of the mountains. Donna was an incredible host - she even loaned us a battery charger when we had car trouble during our stay. Thank you!

Loved our stay in Arroyo Deco

This was a great home base for a week of skiing. The house had everything our family of four needed, it was very quiet, and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. We enjoyed being close to the shops in Arroyo Seco and only a short drive to Taos. We'd love to stay here again!

Close to Taos Ski Valley in a cozy village

We’ve been to Taos several times, but this was our first time staying in Arroyo Seco. We loved the location and there was plenty of space for our family. It was easy to find and in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from restaurants and a market. We loved the views and fireplace. This should be on your list if you plan to spend time on the mountain.

Wonderful stay in Arroyo Seco

This was the perfect house for our stay in Arroyo Seco. Donna was extremely attentive and helpful for the entirety of our trip. She answered questions promptly prior to us coming and kept in touch during the trip. She checked-in every couple of days to make sure we were comfortable. The check-in and check-out processes were very easy. It was very easy to access all of the information we needed (WIFI password, TV instructions, etc.). We couldn't have asked for a better house. It was perfect for our family. The house was very clean. It had plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was probably the most well-equipped kitchen I have ever seen. It had everything we needed to cook. Finally, the location couldn't have been better. It's a short walk into the town of Arroyo Seco. It is also well-positioned between the ski valley and the town of Taos, so both are short drives away. The area was quiet, and the scenery was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.
