Secluded covered deck overlooking the trees and peaks, cozy firepit, green space next door, wood floors, modern kitchen with lots of storage space & breakfast bar, and a classic wood-burning stove in dining/living room with mountain views. Updated interior with clear cedar trim details throughout and rustic modern design elements with reclaimed corrugated metal accents from an old barn. Coffee table, drying rack, firewood holder, outside deck table, and king bed platform all custom made by a local super talented artisan using mostly local materials. BRAND NEW mini split heater and air conditioner to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. HUGE upper loft serves as non-conforming open master bedroom with brand new high-end king and full beds. Our quaint get away sleeps 4-5 comfortably. Vaulted ceilings with tongue & groove! Wi-Fi supplied (can be spotty as it is small town and only one provider). Quaint cabin is as advertised. Coffee set up is greatly appreciated. Owners are very easy to work with and responsive. Grocery store, convenience store, coffee shop, within walking distance. Easy access to the Mt. Baker area. Lucked out with the weather and got to watch a beautiful sunrise from the loft/bedroom.

We gained access to the cabin without issue. We soon found that the cabin had not been cleaned. My wife finished up the bedding and made the beds. I contacted the owner and let them know what happened and asked for a refund of the cleaning fee, which they promptly processed.The cabin is located somewhat near the Mt. Baker highway. While on the deck, you can hear vehicles coming and going on the dead end highway. The view was OK, but the noise made it less enjoyable.The grill had gas, so that was good. The problem is that it needs to be leveled and thoroughly cleaned. My bratwurst kept rolling toward the back. The burner barely worked. After a good cleaning, a cover would go a long way to extend the life of the grill.Shower water pressure was just adequate. It's also quite dark when showering. Perhaps a clear shower curtain could be used instead of the opaque one.The ladder to the loft was incredibly steep. It has decent handrails, but there is no way to carry anything up. My wife had to put her drink on the step and move it along as she climbed. Don't forget anything or you'll be forced to descend and ascend (again).We cooked breakfast and dinner there, and the kitchen was fine. Good cookware and cutlery.Would we stay there again? Most likely not.

We really enjoyed your beautiful cabin in the cascades. Although the latter looked challenging, it turned out fine because of the great railings on the sides.Even in our seventies we managed and the loft was lovely. We had rainy weather so part of the day we just enjoyed staying at home and the next day a cleared a little and we went up to the nook's sack falls which were spectacular. The TV turned out to be a little difficult to navigate. But with questions we asked you and the answers. You got that helped all although it didn't solve everything. We had a good time watching. The video of Woodstock.

A great location for accessing Mt. Baker trails, we enjoyed the cozy cabin! We were there during the heat so appreciated the A/C, and at night was cool enough to hang out on the porch. Loft was comfortable for 4. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

Frustrated we were making a "nest" on the floor for our 11 yo. The couches were okay for teenagers with sheets, but old and kind of gross at first glance when I sat on them. We had to move them, connect them (sectionals) to make them work as beds. There were only 4 spoons, so we had to wash and share. The cabin is rustic, but not cozy or quaint. The King and Full beds are okay, a bit springy, but I slept well enough on them the 2nd night.The construction is off a bit, so the bathroom door doesn't close all the way with a half inch gap. There is a hole in the loft where you can look down into the bathroom as well. The washing machine was rancid when we opened that. Very smelly. There is a lot of dust and grime in the corners and around the trim and such. We found the hand towels in the dryer when we were cleaning up at the end. A fire would have been nice but there's no firewood; you have to bring your own.There were some movies to choose from and we only had to have one kid on the floor to watch that. They have some games, but the deck of cards is an old casino deck and is missing a few cards. We had fun, made the best of it and enjoyed the loft and such. The microwave is cute. The heater works well to warm the place up.The owners were really responsive when we asked about the sleeping arrangements via email at 9:30 or so, which I appreciated.I would appreciate a more accurate description of the accommodations next time so we could know to bring a cot or mattre

Mt Baker ski trip.

Enjoyed our short stay at the cabin. We arrived with an extreme cold snap so had a little trouble getting the cabin warm. We were very happy to use the stove which functioned very well! Enjoyed walking in the snow through the neighborhood and on a local trail and also appreciated the local store. The cabin was comfortable and though we didn't try and cook much the kitchen seemed well equipped. Wished we had brought bedroom slippers as the wood floors were cold, but sure that was to do with the cold snap. We will try and return for hiking next summer and get to use the nice little deck!!

Small town escape

Stayed here to be close to Canada and North Cascade National Park. This area made me think of small town America where you can escape the chaos of the city. Loved how the front porch made you feel like you were in the forest. The cabin is also a throwback and reminds me of my grandparents cabin in Colorado. If you want to escape where you canā€™t be seen then put this on your radar.

Great Balance

This cabin was great, it had everything you could need and was even walking distance to a cafe. Location was perfect for driving to waterfalls/trails and it was very comfortable. Love the heat and split pump but still the ability to use the wood stove/fireplace if wanted. Would stay here again, thank you!

Cozy escape

We loved our stay! Maple Falls and nearby Glacier are full of great restaurant options and the grocery across the street has anything you could need! The cabin is really quaint and cozy - even better than the pictures. We enjoyed getting to bring our pup and it was the perfect spot to get to Mount Baker. Really enjoyed our time and weā€™ll look to stay again next time weā€™re up!

The Snow That Wasnā€™t

I wish the weather had cooperated and we had some snowfall, but cold, wet rain was on the menu. That said, the rental was perfectly suitable for a couple with a dog. More people could be possible, but all sleeping surfaces were in the loft if you donā€™t count the couch, and that might not be suitable for some. We never used the wood burning stove, but that is a nice feature. The kitchen is supplied with the necessities and the bathroom was clean and had enough water pressure (contrary to some reviews). The TV had Netflix and Prime for streaming, and there was decent WiFi, but otherwise cell service was spotty in the area. Proximity to Mt Baker is great & pizza at Chair 9 after some time in the snow is highly recommended. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

Wouldnā€™t stay again.

Unfortunately this stay was not the best experience overall. To start, the cabin wasnā€™t super clean upon arrival. Our socks were immediately dirty after walking around for a few minutes, the space between the bed and wall upstairs was riddled with spiderwebs and debris, and the windowsills and couch had sawdust(?) littered all over the place. We immediately found mice droppings in three cupboards and multiple drawers. The owners knew about the mice (to be fair, they are proactive with pest control and it seems to be a huge issue in Maple Falls), but we werenā€™t let know about it and were pretty grossed out that all the dishes and utensils had mice droppings on/around them. We washed everything we planned to use for our stay, hid away all of our food and scented things, and tried to look past it. They offered to send out the cleaners to wash everything, but we had already done what we could. I would not stay if I had guests planning on sleeping on the pull out couch- very uncomfortable to even sit on, ripped fabric, and smelled. None of the windows (other than the sliding glass entrance doors) have blinds, which is unsettling and the sun rises right in the window that you look at from the bed, so sleeping in isnā€™t feasible. The handrails on the ladder make your hands reek of metal (so much that we avoided using them altogether). The photos in the listing of the living room arenā€™t accurate- different couch and no rug, so itā€™s not a great place to hang out. Bummer overall.

Mountain Beauty

We stayed for a week to enjoy the Washington mountains. The cabin was perfect for us with everything we needed. The washer and dryer made it so we didnā€™t have to pack a ton of clothes, so we had more room in our bags for hiking gear. It was a short drive to Mount baker, the ski resort and anything we needed. The owners recommended the market (within walking distance) that didnā€™t disappoint. All fresh and local food and supplies. Weā€™d give it 10 stars of possible.

Check In Issues

We got to the property around 4:30 to check in which was a half hour earlier at 4:00. The property was still being cleaned and we ended up waiting in our car for over an hour before property was ready for us to check in almost two hours after check in time. That wasnā€™t a good start to our trip. Was offered a late checkout but that isnā€™t something we needed so we were not compensated in any other way. Property is as described and we didnā€™t have any other issues. Make sure to read the details about the ladder to the bedrooms and the lack of good water pressure. They were not issues for us but they might be for others.

Cozy small town cabin

Comfortable, relaxing, and private little cabin perfect for a weekend getaway. Maple Falls is within easy walking distance, and the neighborhood loop is pleasant for a dog walk. Cabin was very clean, beds were cozy, and the tree-curtained porch was great for morning coffee. WOuld deifnitely come back!

Love this cabin!

Cabin was awesome, and had everything we needed. Hosts were great, and had an easy check-in/check-out process. Cabin was a fairly short ride to our hiking destinations at Mt Baker. This place was great, highly recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay at Maple Falls. The VRBO was in a great location for our stay & a very cute place with all we needed. Would definitely recommend & return for a great place to stay. Thank you Eric & Kim Schleich from Williamsport Ohio. Go Bucks!! Mount Baker is in our top favorites for spectacular views!! We did the Yellow Aster, Chain Lakes & stopped by a couple falls in area.
