This unit is on the first floor and closest to the parking lot and street so its very easy to get in and out of. Guests get one reserved parking spot and there is also parking available on the street. Clean and good location

Easy check in, clean. I was cooking and there were no pot holders. Maybe not a big deal until you try to take pan out of oven. The can opener didn’t work, my son lives close by, so he brought me one. After using bathroom, realized there was no back up toilet paper. I was in touch with Tobin about this, after I walked to the store to buy TP. That evening, I found a bag at the door, with ONE potholder (hard to take pan out of oven with just one). Also in the bag was ONE roll of TP. Seriously. One roll. Also in the bag a cork screw. Not can opener. For a three night stay, two people, we were left just a single bath towel, hand towel and facecloth per person. Really seems a little cheap.

Good stay overall

Staying at this VRBO was good overall. The property requires more attention from the host. There is a guest book that says that we should notify him in cases the cleanliness is subpar. I did so. I mopped around the living room area and the bedroom. I swept quite a bit of crumbs from underneath the sofa (my cat kept eating some things. I realized there were dorito crumbs, even rice, lol). The floors were definitely dirty and the sofa could use a wash/be replaced. The reason I am writing this here is to ensure that the host and future guests are aware of the cleanliness issue,which can be solved easily! I really should establish my own cleaning company! Note that the host never responded when I reported this. Otherwise, he is quick to respond. On a lighter note, the VRBO is close to restaurants... 5 mns. from downtown, and the area is nice and quiet.

Solid place, location, and I'll come back

I was in Austin for a week, and found this gem. Staying solo, this was perfect for me with a nice bedroom, kitchen, and living/dining space. There was a TON of stuff to do within 2-5 miles, including great BBQ, Mexican, and other cool places to eat. My last night I wanted a slice of pizza, so I found a place that sold by the slice, and I ended up in a super happening area. Saturday at 5:00 and it was already rocking. If I return next year for the same event, I will be booking this spot again for sure.

It’s conveniently located with easy parking and access. Otherwise, it was just okay. Very creaky, noisy bed, weirdly high bathroom sink/counter (I had to wash my face in the kitchen sink), very noisy a/c.

Okay condo in close proximity to S Lamar restaurants and activities

My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights in March. The location is convenient to S Lamar and only a short drive to downtown. The parking spot was great and check-in was easy. The condo itself was just okay. The bathroom and kitchen are fairly outdated and didn't feel completely clean when we checked in. (We did see a cockroach in the bathroom on our last night.) And we were only given one roll of toilet paper, which was a bit odd and inconvenient. But if you're looking for a basic condo in a decent neighborhood, this is the place for you.

Not what we expected

We arrived at 4:00 pm as indicated and to our surprise the condo was dirty, no cleaning process had occurred upon our arrival. We had to leave the condo for two hours to get cleaned. There were no bed linens provided for the sofa bed.

This is my second time staying at the condo and, if I continue to travel to Austin, it will not be my last. Comfortable, convenient, safe, and close to everything. Great food, breweries, coffee, and a pharmacy within a ten minute walk. See you next time.

Not what we expected

I’m writing this review because this property has a 4.8 rating so we expected 4.8 service and all. To be blatant, if you just need a cheap place to stay specifically in south Lamar, then great! This is a good place for you. My husband and I stayed here and there were many things that threw us off. We got to the Vrbo and the keypad didn’t work. I gave the owner the benefit of the doubt and let this go. We then entered and found that the toilet barely flushes and had to plunge it a few times. To put it simply, this isn’t a 4.8 star place and am writing this review so people don’t expect 4.8 when they come here. It’s a solid 3-3.5. Like I said, it’s a cheap place to stay, but that’s about it.

Beautiful property

Tobin's property was so clean and comfortable. It was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do while in Austin. We will definitely stay there again.

Great Austin home base

Cozy and cute; great location.

This condo was perfect for me. It is small but very comfortable, well-decorated, and had a well-supplied kitchen, which is important to me because I cook at least some of my own meals every day. I texted the owner a couple of times with questions, and he was quick to respond. The location is great! Good for walking my dog and within easy striking distance of restaurants and shops, but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood.

Good location but not recommended for more than a couple

The property is located in a good neighborhood and is close enough to restaurants and a short 10-15 min drive downtown. You also have a man individual parking stall which makes it easy for parking. Those are the positives. On the other side this 1 bedroom feels more like an apartment for a single person or couple at the most as you have to go through the bedroom to access the only bathroom, this does not work well at all if there is a 3rd person with a couple, ect. There were only 3 towels and 1 washcloth available for use during a 4 night stay for 3 people, additional towels and 1 more washcloth was provided a day later when requested. The couch needs cleaning as it’s cloth fabric and has mild smell to it. The property was also under roof construction during our stay, being woke up by 730 am even on Saturday and no warning or apologies for the inconvenience. Other units near you appear to also be rented out through VRBO,ect so you never know what you may end up with next to you. We did have some noise from next door at night but it was tolerable. Overall for the price it was ok due to location and convenient parking.

Clean Comfortable Condo

We felt at home in this lovely condo. We appreciated how clean it was when we checked in. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for our holiday visit with our family. Parking was convenient. Neighborhood was quiet and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again!
