Quick Getaway from L.A.

Wanted to get out of the city and this was a great stay. Was able to bring our dog as well! Enjoyed the nearby zoo and sat every morning on the large porch enjoying the wildlife. Already considering when to come again!

Celebration of Life

We were there to celebrate my mom and dad who owned a cabin in Big Bear and we remembered skiing at Bear Mountain, hiking up to the gold mine and sailing on the lake. This cabin was equally lovely. The main room was cozy, the bedrooms were nice looking as well as comfortable. We loved the deck, the hot tub and the pool table. A wonderful family stay.

Nice but needs improvement

I like the location and how big and complete the property is. The pool table, jacuzzi and play area, big backyard and grill is nice and my family enjoyed our stay. The only complain that i can think of is that the kitchen is pretty small and the beds are dusty, sheets are itchy. My wife and kid keeps on sneezing and scratching the whole night.

No gas, thus no hot water or cooking

The location is good, communications and service by property management was good, but the gas to the property was shutoff. The meter was locked by the gas company. My son-in-law who came directly from work had to take a cold shower because there was no gas. The property management sent out a maintenance man only to have him tell me the gas was off. We spent the best part of our first day dealing with this and relocating to a different property, instead of relaxing and enjoying family time. The property is dated. The bathroom are old and in need of serious TLC or remodel. Beware, the stairs to the lower level are steep and may be an issue for small kids or seniors. The back deck is nice and large, but needs cleaned and maintained. Bottom line, I would not recommend this property.

Great house & great location if you are skiing or mountain biking at Bear Mtn. Game room was a huge hit with the kids. Close to everything.
