What a wonderful, and much needed holiday!!! The host of Moose Creek Manor was so helpful in preparing for our stay. The responded promptly to all inquiries we had and made us feel so welcome. The best part was the stay! We drove up to the cottage and it was draped in sparkly fresh snow. It was magical!Rustic cottage charm with all the amenities needed. Extra blankets and pillows, fireplace and heaters to keep us cosy after a day of sledding and skiing. To top it off we were walking distance to the Village with all it's charming boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be returning!

The location was central to everything and the cabin looked just as advertised. The towels were pretty sparse, stove was not very clean and there were no sheets on the sofa bed. I did send a message to the host but did not receive a response. Overall very cozy yet roomy enough for 6. A little older but lots of charm.

Place was nice and cozy. Except one of the 3 heaters didn't work. I think kitchen didn't have couple essentials like kettle. Gas stove hood wasn't working so smoke alarms gave us nice concert. Host was responsive but they don't seem to know every detail about the property. Overall good experience.

Charming cabin

This cabin was just perfect for myself my husband and our two boys. It is close to the Village and ski slopes. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Best of all the jacuzzi was clean and warm. We will definitely look into renting this property again.

Quaint Cabin

Nice place to stay fairly close to town. There was very hot water, space heaters in each room, a great selection of movies online, liquid soap for the sinks, paper towels, dishwasher soap and a flashlight. Take shampoo, conditioner, and your own tissues.

Vintage Cabin in the Woods

Cute vintage cabin in the woods. A little rustic but charming and close to downtown in a quiet neighborhood and street. Beds and furnishings were soft and cozy. Easy to clean up after using. We loved our stay. My family and I would stay again! Only recommendation is that toiletries be made available.

4 Night get away to ski & hike

This full-size very quiet house with plenty of space to spread out gear & lounge around or sit by a fireplace after very active days was just what we needed. Huge comfortable couch to curl up & watch a movie & plenty of cooking utensils & pots/pans so we can cook our own food. Small ants in the kitchen so we had to keep fresh fruit sealed.

Moose Manor not as advertised

We specifically searched for Properties with Jacuzzi’s and when we got there, the Jacuzzi was murky and unsuitable for use. There were cob webs everywhere, used condoms in the nightstand, toilet ran, cabin run down

First time on VRBO instead of an Airbnb

So this trip we saw this cabin which look pretty cool. We booked it and still got charged a 200 pet fee when I said I didn’t have one so hoping I get that back. We tried to do early check in and instead we got the place right at 4. So you think the place would be spotless but there was spiderwebs hanging off the ceilings. BBQ was dirty and never cleaned. The hot tub lights did not work and sometimes would get too hot. That master bathroom had a wet carpet under the toilet. They charge you a $125 cleaning fee but they make you take your own trash to the trash site or they will charge you $25 a bag. They make you wash your own dishes and place them all back where they belong. There’s a sign in the 2nd room bathroom that’s states you must clean the shower or else your deposit will be effected. You must remember where all furniture was at the beginning and place it back or once again they will charge you. The cleaning fee is ridiculous for the amount of stuff they scare you into doing. Overall the place was cool but all these rules and scare tactics into doing them are ridiculous. And the communication after you check in is non existent. The last morning before we had to check out I had to go to the ER because my girlfriend had altitude sickness which we didn’t realize was a thing. So I asked for late check out so we had time to clean without having our deposit taken away because she was throwing up and scared since 3am Sunday and the ER in big bear is small so the wait time was over 3 hours but nobody responded about this situation and when I let them know about the wet floor so we wouldn’t be charged. So like I said cool place and this is a thorough review and close to the resort and everything else. I just hope I get my deposit back entirely because I left that place cleaner then I received it. Definitely sticking to Airbnb from now on.

I was unhappy with the hot tub it did not function well and the cleanliness of the hot tub. We were required to get our own propane for the gas grill and it was very dirty. The response of the resort rental staff was very unhelpful.

Our stay was amazing, cabin was very clean and cozy. It was just a short drive to hiking trails and restaurants. Would give five stars but did have to go buy a lighter to be able to light the gas stove and did have a few ants and some insects that would make their way in.

Splendid, rustic peace and harmony in the mountains.

A wonderful 'out there' feeling. All the whispering of the trees and the meeting of the Racoons any enthusiast would crave. Sipping wine on the balcony while swinging dreamily in the rocking chairs was heavenly. The cottage was cozy, quaint and ideally located, close to the summit village and seasonal events. Would come back anytime!

Good location

I will start with the good stuff first was in a good location less then a mile from the village. Loved the hot tub. quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the front porch and the rocking chairs. (see below about the chairs.) The master bed was comfortable. Next for the other stuff, the master bedroom was nice but you looked out the window to the next door porch and Jacuzzi not private at all. The shower water temp was Luke warm. The carpet needs to be replaced. The bean bag cushion in the living room should be thrown out it is so dirty. The cushions on the rockers need to be replaced. Always grateful, Brian
