This house has two identical but individual units. Each unit has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, Master bedroom has a California King bed, second bedroom has a queen bed with personal walk out balcony, the loft has two twin beds and the living room couch has a queen sleeper. Both have been completely remodeled inside with all new full size stainless appliances, new beds and furniture, granite counter tops, spa like bathrooms, full size washer and dryer, 55 inch flat screen TV, central air conditioning/heat, private balcony, wrap around porches, huge pine trees on a large lot with a fenced in area, all within two short blocks from the village.

Lovely welcome, house was warmed and nice holiday music in the tv. Host amazingly nice and accommodating. Close to stores and easy parking. Close to slopes too. Would recommend a million times !

Perfect getaway to Mt High

Clean, comfortable and plenty of space for family of 5 going back-n-forth to Mt High for skiing/snowboarding w/o headache of driving far or traffic. Within walking distance to central Wrightwood. Host was great and had the place all set for us upon arrival.

Great Stay

5 stars all around. Everything went as expected with this place. The only problem was resolved immediately with quick response from the host.Good location for skiing at Mt. High, good heater, good bedding.

Peaceful weekend

Beautiful cabin close to town. Extremely clean with all the supplies needed to enjoy a lay back weekend in the middle of the summer :) Close to the trails. Great communication with the owner.

Great for big families

We loved staying at Brian's place. There was 11 of us and the 2 units fit us all perfectly. The home was very clean, had lots of amenities and was in a great location to town (about a 5 min walk). He was very quick and responsive to my questions. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location for the Mountain High Resort

This place is a perfect for those who want to enjoy the Mountain High resort. It's clean, cozy and very comfortable to stay. The owner was trying to accommodate everything we need, and we really appreciated it. It takes 7 minutes to get to the resort without traffic. A grocery market is 1 minute away. Restaurants and coffee shops were less than 10 minutes away. We will definitely come back again.

Snow Staycation

This is a super cozy cabin that is well kept. It was our second time staying here and it was just as wonderful as the first time. When the snow falls, the large front yard is great for the kids to play and build a snowman. The top floor has a cool room that the kids enjoy like a clubhouse. All the comforts of home such as internet and laundry are also available. It’s a VERY short walk to restaurants and the main market. The host is especially communicative and helpful! Great memories made here and we will be returning again soon.

Home Away from Home

We rented this cozy home (Fri, Feb 18 - Mon, Feb 21, 2022) for our 1st family vacation to Wrightwood. We have twin 11-year-old boys who were looking forward to snow play & snowboarding. The property is described as “Mountain Home Charm with Beautiful Interior” & my family agrees. The place was spotlessly clean with Samsung appliances throughout. The home is split into two units with one shared wall built as a duplex. We could sometimes hear the other family renting the other unit & I’m sure they could hear us, but overall, was a minor observation & we seemed to be keeping the same wake up/sleep schedule. So, any noise we did hear wasn’t loud & did not take away from our fun experience. The highlights of the property are the proximity to the resort & downtown area within walking distance, the attic loft bedroom that’s accessed via a ladder was charming & perfect for our boys (tip: don’t put the thermostat too warm since heat rises), the 2 other bedrooms had comfy beds with each having mounted, flat screen tv’s. We had family movie nights in the main living room & could watch streaming videos for free. There was a movie we wanted to watch that cost money that I simply used my phone to access my account & screen shared to the tv. Definite plus having a full-size kitchen with a full-size refrigerator & freezer to store the food & drinks we brought with us. It was nice having all the amenities (i.e., cooking pots, pans, utensils, dishes, mugs, etc.), slow-close drawers, & the dishwasher for our meals. Water throughout the home heats up quickly & no issues with running out of hot water. Another added plus was the full-size, stacked washer/dryer. We brought our own detergent sheets for easy packing and dryer sheets . We enjoyed the home atmosphere rather than the hotel room we were contemplating on staying. The space to stretch out and move around by comparison made our stay much more enjoyable. Compared to the crowds in Big Bear/Snow Summit, Wrightwood ended up being a pleasant surprise for a quiet, relaxed vacation especially since it wasn’t as crowded as we had anticipated for what typically would be a busy 4-day Presidents’ Day weekend. It was our 1st time using Vrbo & I’m glad we did. The owner, Brian, was responsive, easy to communicate with, & check-in/out was super easy. The price was comparable to other rental properties. I would opt to stay here again in the future & recommend this property to others.

Very nice and very comfortable

The unit offers both comfort and space. The bathrooms are newly done. This is a great opportunity for a family to feel home away from home.

Fabulous property, just as described

My kids and I had a great 2 night stay at this property for a recent ski trip. Kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms all highly upgraded and comfortable. Everything was first rate. Would highly recommend. Owner is very pleasant and super responsive to all questions. Simple check in and check out.

Cozy home in a great location

This was a great house within easy walking distances to many restaurants, ski rental shops, grocery stores and even a school to go sledding. The owner was very responsive and accommodating.

Great stay

Great place. Kids loved the attic bedroom. Would love to stay here again. Just need to remember that there are two units, and each unit has a different driveway.

Gorgeous Find

I read through most of the reviews and all the positives are true! 🌟 This property is pristine on the inside and there is plenty of room outside to play catch in the yard. There were extra blankets in the trunks upstairs and plenty of sheets and towels. The bathrooms are modern and luxurious. My husband noticed the sturdy and aesthetically pleasing stair railing and loft ladder. It was very sturdy and safe. Snow was only a few miles up the road. I would consider coming here without snow and hiking local trails. We enjoyed the luxury of having three different rooms with TVs after an eventful day of playing in the snow. I wish I could go back this weekend.💕 We could have easily stayed here with another family. 🌟 Brian was quick and patient with any question I had. For once the pictures didn’t lie and actually the property is even more beautiful inside. The location is truly perfect for walking to town and you’ve got to try some pizza while you’re there.🍕

Cozy, Clean, and Comfortable!

Great property with large yard for kids to play in the snow. Stayed for four days with four kids under 5 and all the necessary amenities kept everyone very happy and comfortable. Brian, the property manager is super nice and was always available to answer any questions! Highly recommend. If available, we will return for another staycation =)

Wrightwood

Brian was amazing from the start. Day of he gave a curtesy call to inform me that someone next door would also be checking in and that the town house was ready and available before our set check-in time. In addition, he made sure we were ok, gave clear instructions for the parking and if we had any questions. The house was lovely, clean and well maintained. The pictures do not do justice. The walls are thin between town homes but we managed through. The 1st floor consist of the living room, kitchen, restroom and laundry. The 2nd floor consist of bedroom#1 with a king bed and bedroom#2 has a queen bed and 2nd bathroom. It’s true as others mentioned the shower on the 2nd floor is amazing. The 3rd floor consists of a loft area with 2 twin size mattresses . The stairs to the 3rd floor are steep, so be cautious with small kids. Day of check out Brain texted to make sure we were ok and gave clear instructions once again. Thank you so much Brain for your hospitality, we appreciated your beautiful home and would love to return someday again.

Nice & Comfortable

The perfect weekend getaway

This is our second stay at Le Chateau, and once again we really enjoyed our stay. The location is within walking distance to the shops, grocery store, Grizzly Cafe (our favorite breakfast spot), and Mountain High. The property itself is spacious, clean and contemporary with all the amenities such as WiFi, DVD player, full equipped kitchen, and clean linens. Thank you for another wonderful trip. We look forward to visiting again next year!

Clean and cozy.

I booked a long a weekend here with my kiddos and we enjoyed our stay for the most part. The house was very clean, it had everything we needed, and the spacious yard was perfect for my kids. It’s a very close walk to town which is nice. You have a market, restaurants and small shops within a few minute walk and my oldest child loved it. The downside that I haven’t seen mentioned in any reviews is that you can hear your neighbors through the walls. Our first two nights there another family arrived late and we could heard them yelling and banging around until 1:30 the following morning. I’m not talking a thud on the wall here and there...I’m talking LOUD incessant banging and the ability to hear almost everything they were saying. I have infant twins so I bring a sound machine with me everywhere but the sound machine could not block out the loud noises. My kiddos (and myself) could not nap or sleep well with all of the noise which was very frustrating since my whole reason for booking a VRBO instead of a hotel was because I needed quiet. I contacted the owner who was amazing about contacting them and asking them to hold it down but unfortunately the noise continued. I assumed it was a one time situation but when another family checked in I realized we would have the same issue. They had a very large party and had at least 20 people over during the day and the noise was just too much. There was also a horrific smell in the fridge. It was definitely clean but I’m assuming meat or something had been left in it to rot as the smell was absolutely revolting. I tried cleaning it out multiple times, spraying it out with Lysol, and scrubbing it with bleach I picked up at the store but nothing I did would help with the smell. Every single item of food that we had in there picked up the smell and I had to toss all of our leftover groceries instead of bringing them home because the smell was that awful. There’s no way that whoever cleaned out the fridge couldn’t tell that the smell was overwhelming. Just opening the empty refrigerator would make the entire bottom floor of the house smell so bad. The smell was putrid. This would be the perfect place to stay if you were traveling with multiple families and you each wanted own space. Or if noise from neighbors wouldn't bother you. With young children it definitely bothered us so I definitely want to give a heads up. The owner was great with communicating and quick to respond to any issues.

I grew up in this area and have always loved the mountain community of Wrightwood. The people and the area are beautiful. Last year I purchased this house and chose to restore it with the assistance of my friends and family with the intent to spend time there with my family but also share it with you. The house was built some time in the early 1900's. It has the charm of a mountain home in that era yet it is completely updated inside. The original wood floors can be seen upstairs as we were able to restore them. I hope you will enjoy this home and the community of Wrightwood as much as I do.

I love this property because it has two units and it accommodates two people or large families.
Both units are identical in design and are completely remodeled inside. The front unit faces the street and gives a more open and social feel as you can say hello to folks as they go for walks, where as the back unit has a more private and secluded feel. I love this house because it is walking distance to all the restaurants, local pubs, grocery store and shopping. It has a large lot for the kids to play in the snow or just run around.

Great location, ski, snowboard, hiking zip lining. So many outdoor activities. At the end of the day no need to get in a car again. Just a brief walk down to the village for dinner.
