Escape to a 200-year-old dairy farm on 72 private acres. This 3,900+ sq ft farmhouse comfortably sleeps 10+ guests, making it perfect for family reunions or executive retreats. A waterfront property featuring two stocked ponds, friendly farm animals, and a fire pit, this secluded sanctuary offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern comfort for an unforgettable getaway.

Step inside our charming farmhouse, where historic character meets modern comfort. The house is designed to comfortably host large groups, family reunions, and friends, with 4 bedrooms and over two bathrooms, sleeping 10 or more guests.

This is a place designed for relaxing, unwinding, and making memories. We fell in love with its country charm and know you will too.

The upper deck, large, screened porch, fire pit, and patio areas all provide unique gathering areas.

The real experience with this property is enjoyed on the outside and you and your guests can spend all day relaxing and exploring the property. It is truly serene and peaceful. With that said, the house itself is comfortable and nicely set to allow everybody their own space.

The location is also ideal for visiting downtown Washington DC or Baltimore (about 45 easy minutes drive to each). Downtown Urbana, Maryland is only 5 minutes away for dining and groceries. Downtown Frederick is about 10 minutes away and has plenty of great restaurants, antiquing, and lots to do.

The farm has goats, ducks, geese, cats, and horses.

There are 2 stocked ponds with large-mouth bass, blue gill, catfish, and crappie. Fishing is allowed without a special permit or MD license, although bass is catch-and-release only.

Words cannot describe how nice this property really is. Sleeps 14 easily, and the finished attic can sleep multiple kids.

Fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, generous prep space, and everything needed for hosting family meals. There are also two grills at the house (charcoal and propane)

Whether gathering for a family movie night or giving the kids their own space, the home offers two Smart TVs ā€” one in the main living room and one in the attic hideaway designed just for younger guests. Cable access, a DVD player, and strong Wi-Fi throughout the property keep everyone comfortable and connected.

Guests enjoy two full baths within the farmhouse, as well as a large outdoor bath and shower set inside the neighboring dairy barn ā€” blending rustic character with memorable comfort.

The property also features a seasonal outdoor shower with both hot and cold water ā€” perfect after a day exploring the fields, hiking, or gathering around the fire.

The farmhouse is equipped with modern plumbing, updated full-size kitchen appliances, and a full-size washer and dryer for added convenience. Three wood stoves provide supplemental heat while adding warmth, character, and an authentic farmhouse ambiance. Firewood for both the home and the outdoor fire pit is included with your stay.

****Upstairs, the full bathroom is connected to a bedroom, so access is through that room. Guests may want to consider this layout when planning sleeping arrangements.
****Both indoor bathrooms are located on the same side of the house (one directly above the other). The lower bathroom is conveniently located just off the kitchen.
****An additional full bath is available in the beautifully restored dairy barn, just a short walk across the driveway.

The host is lovely and rescued us from a last minute cancellation. There would have had been no room at the inn on Christmas Eve had they not stepped up. The home was extremely comfortable, filled with eclectic games books and shadows that echoed the years of a loving family. The warmth from the environment and the surroundings, are what rejuvenates you most. We cannot wait to stay on the farm again. Spending time in the serene landscape alongside friendly animals, nothing could have been better for our souls! We will never forget the feeling. Thank you Jeff and Family!

A wonderful Farmhouse with lots of character

A very unique house which was great for a small group. Lots of farm animals around which added to the experience. If we ever need to rent a place again in or around Frederick, we'll definitely be looking at this house. Highly recommend.

Family Trip

The home was very spacious and provided a great spot for hide and seek with our granddaughters. Loved the huge screened in porch. The animals were a highlight of our stay. The adults enjoyed the outdoor shower and the children enjoyed the attic and playroom. We would totally recommend this house!

Wonderful family getaway!!

Everything was perfect!! Kids had a blast and so did the grandparents!! Even though it was really hot, the house and farm allowed for lots of activities. Loved the large and well-stocked kitchen. Outside shower was a huge plus!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful farmhouse with us!

Private Farmhouse

We had a family reunion/ thanksgiving/ and celebration of a 90 th birthday at the farm. We loved the property. It was very kid friendly we had toddlers ages 2-4 that especially loved helping feed the goats and hanging out in the playroom. For the adults we enjoyed the calm laid back atmosphere. We would definitely book again

Great Memorial Day Weekend Getaway!

We live in the DC area and were looking for something fun and different to do this Memorial Day with a group of friends in our 30s, some of who have kids and dogs. This was the perfect destination! The house is old and charming - of course there are some quirks but everything is advertised accurately. The property itself is beautiful - the ponds, the views, the animals, all wonderful. We had a great time and check in/check out were super easy!

It was so wonderful to see our teens all unplug and experience the property. They loved fishing and spending time with the goats. The outdoor shower was so fun for them too šŸ˜„ Thank you for an amazing stay. The house was nice and cool after hot days on the lacrosse field. We slept amazing. Great place to stay

Our paint crew stayed here for a month, and had good things to say. This is a great place, very roomy with lots of areas to hangout and do things. The only drawback is the place is (supposedly) haunted. Owner Jeff explained the history to our crew, and after that the crew started noticing things to reinforce that belief. So if that sort of thing bothers you, be careful, might want to discuss with the owner before booking. Otherwise, a very nice place and owner Jeff was very accommodating.

Heaven on earth

What a wonderful slice of life on the farm which we all enjoyed! The animals are quiet at night but happy to say hello and/or be fed some apples during the day. It is perfect for 5-9 adults, 14 adults may be too many because there is only one bathroom on the 2nd floor (accessible thru one of the bedrooms. The sunrise and night sky were gorgeous from the upper patio. Your group will love life in this renovated 1700s farmhouse full of patios, porches, fireplaces and firepits! Thank you.
