Higgins Lake Cabin 1 1/4 Blocks from Kelly Beach

This cabin is my personal 3rd generation place. We have personal pictures of family memories. This is a rustic cabin with personal items. Many rentals are like hotel rooms - this is not . If you wish to rent a place that is only a rental on the lake, this is not it! It will not be perfect - toys from 3 generation are on display there. Most people love it! I don’t want you to rent my place and then complain because it’s not sterile enough. There are many renters who think it’s wonderful and try to return. If you are picky or finiky, wanting brand new towels and nothing personal left in our cabin, then please‼️ rent another Cabin‼️ We do not want another bad review because they expected differently or didn’t read the description. We very seriously considered discontinuing renting because of the 1 bad review. If this makes you think twice, then please go to another rental‼️ This cabin rents quickly so leave the opportunity to others who will appreciate it ‼️
Near Kelly Beach, free access at Kelly beach boat ramp. Near Town & Country Gas, Grocery & Party store, Pine Pantry Restaurant the Bird & the Bear Bakery, True Value Hardware, and Pioneer Hill Marine.

Amazing Higgins lake getaway

A few friends and myself stayed here for the Fourth of July weekend and we had a blast! We were very close to Kelly beach which was nice and convenient. The house itself was clean and well put together. Great for a family getaway!

Really close to Kelly Beach, location is great for the event we attended. Communication with owner was spot on after check in. A perfect place to experience the true up north feel!

We had a fantastic time at Blair's cabin on Higgins Lake. The location is perfect if you own a boat with a launch ramp two blocks away from the cabin. The cabin is truly a beautiful rustic cabin that was clean and Blair was very responsive when engaged to assist whenever needed. I would highly recommend this cabin for any stay at Higgins Lake and we will be back there for our next trip! 5 Stars all the way!

Cozy Weekend Getaway

If we could, our family would give this cabin 6 out of 5 stars! The furniture was nice and complimented the nature around us, and we were walking distance from Higgins Lake. Blair was readily available when needed, and treated our family with respect. We felt very welcomed as guests.

Perfect location, cozy and super clean cabin. The property can easily accomodate 6-8 adults. I would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. The owner was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Thanks Blair

Cozy Cabin by the Lake

My wife and I stayed at this very nice and well-kept cabin near the lake for our summer vacation. Nice location close to the lake with convenience store, restaurants, and hardware store nearby within walking distance. Very well stocked with all the needed amenities (towels, linens, blankets, pillows, etc.) Quite comfortable and a very positive experience. Would definitely recommend!

it was a good place for a short walk to the beach. nice to unplug and relax. was distracted by a mouse for a day but managed to remove it. Not unusual for a wooded setting.

Best vacation we ever had

We rented Blairs cabin/home for 1 week July 1st thru July 8th 2024 this was our best vacation we ever had, my brother and his g/f joined us for 3 days and this was her 1st ever vacation, it was a hit! Our host Blair communicated with us promptly and answered all our questions. We found his property to be very relaxing, very clean and comfortable. The insidevof his cabin/home is filled with beautiful antiques which made our stay very enjoyable. Blair did go above and beyond our expectations. Our accommodations were the best we ever had. Id recommended staying here at anytime for a great vacation. Thank you Blair and your family for your generosity and great time. We'll never forget our stay!

Tasteful and Cozy - Close to Lake and Water

My Husband and I enjoyed a getaway weekend to this cozy cabin near Higgins Lake. Blair was a wonderful host, quick to answer all of my questions and provide recommendations to help us make the most of our weekend. The check-in process was very simple. The cabin was clean, well stocked (linens, cooking supplies, etc) tastefully decorated with plenty of room for a few friends or family members to join if you choose. The weather was a bit chilly so we were unable to enjoy the lake, however, the beach is a quick walk from the cabin. For chilly days like ours, there is a fireplace in the cabin and a firepit outside. Roscommon is a close 5 mile drive, where there are cute shops, restaurants, etc. Bob's Butcher shop and Fred's of Roscommon are a must to visit. The cabin is not far from trails if you have an ORV that you wish to bring with you. I would definitely recommend this cabin. We plan to return next year with our ORV's or Boat. :)

Cute Cabin in Higgins

We booked this last minute and couldn’t have be happier with our choice! Communication with Blair was great. Location was fantastic! A clean space with lots of character. We will book again!!!

Family Vacation

We had a good family trip staying at Blair's cabin. It was about 2 blocks from kelly beach on higgins lake. We were able to walk to beach and launch our pontoon boat there. Also south higgins lake state park was short drive. Cabin was clean and had plenty of space for my family of 4 and my parents even joined us 2 nights. It had a washer and dryer for clothes, air conditioning, and a grill which were all a plus. And the location was great would definitely stay again.

Great location and Cabin

We had an excellent stay at the cabin. Blair made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful when I had questions. The location is perfect and made it very easy to get to Kelly Beach as well as our friends cabin nearby.

Blair's cabin is located near a beautiful Higgins Lake. The neighborhood is very quiet. Blair was very helpful and responded quickly to my texts.

good location, but owner was almost always there

This house has a great location for walking to the public beach and seeing the clear water of Lake Higgins. The owner was quite available to help if there was any issue, but we were uncomfortable after realizing he was staying on the property in his camper and there was no inside lock on the cabin door. As a woman, I felt uncomfortable knowing that there was not a deadbolt on the door, with a man with the code sleeping about 50 yards away. We also saw mice several times around the fireplace and could hear them quite loudly as night. We left one day early due to feeling uncomfortable staying there. The VRBO said there were 3 bedrooms, but there were only 2 bedrooms, although a family room had a futon.

Great proximity to Higgins Lake

A group of friends were camping at South Higgins Lake State Park. This property is a block off Higgins Lake and is 5 min to the State Park. It was nice to be able to come back each day and have the amenities of home.

I grew up in the area, and it was great to bring the family back to this neighborhood. Very nice property, and we felt very welcomed.

Cabin near Higgins Lake

Quiet neighborhood good for walking and running. Travelled to Traverse City and Mackinac Island easy to get to. Used B&B Marina for the Higgins Lake rented a pontoon absolutely a beautiful lake. Owner checked on us several times to make sure everything was going well. Cabin plenty of beds for 6 people and seating in the living room. Enjoyed our family vacation here. Thank you for letting us know about the hidden gem of a lake it was.
