Almost Heaven Cottage

This is a unique small standalone cottage. It has its own private entrance, with secure private parking. There is a sparkling diving pool and hot tub with jacuzzi bubbles. Come for a few nights or a month. You will be pleased with the experience.

Guest access
Guests have access to their cottage and pool and back yard privileges. It will be home away from home.

Basic expectations
We accept couples only. No children are allowed. The pool and ladder create too great of a hazard. No pets. No parties allowed. No kissing or petting or display of affection determined unsuitable by owners in the common areas. Guests will be asked to leave if such display is detected. Swim at your own risk. No lifeguard on premises.

Interaction with guests
We live in an adjacent home and will be available most all of the time. We prefer you communicate through the VRBO app.

The hot tub is free for the first 4hour use. Each additional warm up, will require a $30. fee. Give us 45 minutes ahead of use so we can warm it.

Coziness at its finest

This was such a wonderful stay. Ted and Jackie were the nicest and most accommodating owners I've had the pleasure of working with on Vrbo so far. The house is a guest house that shares the property of the owners main house, but we would have never known they were there once we checked in. The guest house is small and cozy, but so comfortable for the just the two of us and couldn't have been better. The pictures posted are exactly what you will find. The pool is huge and beautiful but it was too cold for us to swim. The parking area is gated and privacy fence surrounding the property. This is a perfect place for any couple, or single person, staying in the Dallas area for any amount of time! This is definitely where I'll be staying on any future visits to Dallas.

Wonderful Experience. Perfect place to stay.

This VRBO blew our expectations away. It was perfectly clean, absolutely gorgeously decorated and designed, and had everything we could possibly need. Jackie and Ted were so very attentive to our every need. Any issue we had was quickly resolved. The area is safe, quiet, and perfect for any vacation stay.I couldn’t recommend this place enough. JUST LIKE HOME!

5 Stars for me! It was just like home for me! Cosey, comfortable, peaceful & quiet. Everything was there that you needed. If you needed anything, they were a call away & were very much wanting you to have a pleasant say. They cared! Something you don't find in commercial hotels. I felt very secure & safe there being by myself. A secure area that was locked. It was walking distance to stores & restaurants. It was like having a place in the country with city amenities. A win-win. I would definitely go back! You can't go wrong here!!

Texas Getaway

Jackie and Ted were wonderful hosts. Easy to communicate with and gave some great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. My girlfriend and I were visiting Texas to run a half marathon in FT Worth. The cozy cottage and relaxing hot tub definitely helped us recover from the long run. Garland was a great location for us as we were visiting Rockwall, Dallas, and Ft Worth area. Highly recommend this cottage for anyone traveling to the area. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jackie and Ted.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

My wife and I came in town for a wedding and Ted and Jackie's was a wonderful landing spot. The place was great, they were very accommodating with the pool/hot tub temperature needs for my pregnant wife. Also, having our own private entrance was exteely convenient. Definitely be sure to run into downtown Garland for coffee in the morning, it's so close!

Everything Plus More

Amazing!!! Almost heaven truly fits the description. When we arrived in Dallas, Jackie contacted us, informing us of all the details needed to arrive and enter the property. We were able to check into the property earlier than listed, which was a plus. We were greeted by the owners when we first arrived. The conversation was great. They informed us on places to go and where to eat. They even had menus for all of the local restaurants as well as informing us on where not to go for dining. The pool and hot tub….amazing!!! In terms of the Cottage, it was worth every penny. The bed was comfortable, we slept like babies and not to forget the freestanding tub gave a unique style that we absolutely enjoyed. The communication with the owner was a 10 out of 10. I would have to say this was place was a great home away from home. I return to Dallas again, I will definitely come back to this property. Again, thank you Jackie and Ted for this wonderful experience.

Just Not A Good Fit.

I communicated with Jackie leading up to the day of our check-in. She was a very sweet lady. However upon arriving to the home there were a lot of political signs and a large flag. Due to the current political climate my husband and I didn’t feel comfortable/ safe staying at the listing.

So relaxing

I came to Dallas to meet a sister I’d never met before (we found each other through DNA testing). Because I was nervous and not sure we would hit it off, I looked for a place that would be quiet and serene and comfortable enough to enjoy being by myself should she not be available often. This little cottage captivated me with its blue tiles, white claw foot tub and cozy seating areas and was just what I needed. I absolutely loved staying there. I was pleasantly surprised by being greeted with a Welcome sign and bouquets of fresh roses! It was the perfect place to stay alone. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Oh, and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were so kind and welcoming and very accessible when I had a question. P.S. My sister and I ended up seeing each other every day and the friendship we’d begun through emails and texts deepened easily, so I didn’t end up being solitary very long.

Quiet oasis

The place was great! The pool was inviting on a hot summer day. My husband and I enjoyed our time of solitude for our anniversary. The hosts are very responsive and generous. The kitchen is well stocked if you decide to cook. It was inviting - a home away from home.

Perfectly Relaxing

I felt my stress melt away as soon as I walked in the door. Such a lovely, perfect little place for a relaxing getaway. I enjoyed sleeping in, taking naps, floating in the pool, and my evenings at nearby Shakespeare in the Park. Such wonderful hosts looking after every detail to make you feel like a treasured guest. This is everything it promises to be. From the welcome sign when you walk in the door to all the fixings for mini waffles, these hosts make you feel welcome! The kitchen was well equipped, and there were plenty of towels to use at the pool. Small, but oh, so nice!

The Glory on earth

Where can I start ??? It’s a lot to say about this beautiful, cozy, clean, friendly place. The owners are amazing, sweet, caring, supportive and responsible. The pictures doesn’t make justices to the place. They welcome you with fresh beautiful roses and a beautiful sign with our names. They are very respectful and kind. The places has absolutely everything as I was at home, laundry, soap, coffee maker and capsules for it. Theta have a lot of information to have a blast in Dallas!!! Sometimes, a cute little space is all you need!

This place was amazing. The little home looked so cute and quaint. The design and decoration is perfect and we loved it. We decided to skip a day at the zoo to just "chill" at the house for the majority of the day. We felt at home and cared for with everything we needed. The pool and hot tub certainly helped that! The hosts are very nice and helpful with getting everything together and they make sure you have everything needed. Great experience. We just might use this place from now on for our Dallas trips!
