The host always responded very quickly. It was advertised as having a very good location, but we found it remote, and we were not aware of any attractions such as walking paths nearby. The mattress in the master bedroom was great. Ideal for Mom and dad and a bunch of kids. Way too big for a couple. This was a very wet and cold end of the season for PEI so maybe that’s why we were never able to get the heat up to around 20.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re glad to hear that you found the master bedroom king size mattress comfortable and that we were responsive throughout your stay. We were, however, surprised by several of the comments in your review. Our cottage is located in a rural (much of PEI is rural), wooded setting, which is clearly reflected in the listing and is one of the reasons many of our guests choose to stay with us. There are also numerous attractions, trails, beaches, restaurants and points of interest within a short drive of the property. Regarding the temperature, we’re also surprised to hear that you were unable to get the cottage to around 20°C. We have heating in the cottage and have not experienced an issue with it. Our guests during the winter have no issue staying warm on the coldest of winter days. Had you contacted us during your stay to let us know there was a problem, we would have been more than happy to come by and investigate and address it immediately. We feel it’s important for future guests to have an accurate picture of the property. This is a spacious two-bedroom cottage in a quiet rural setting, and its size and location are clearly described in the listing. It is a great spot for guests looking for a peaceful PEI getaway rather than in the tourist district with no privacy. Our previous guest loved the accomodation and awarded us 5 stars. Located a little away from the popular area but this unit has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Property is well keys and very nice. We were able to sit outside and barbecue dinner and eat there as well. More than adequate supplies, dishes, pots and pans, linens and a washer and dryer are great for extended stays. King bed in one room and the other has 2 doubles so lots of room. Great places for kids to run around. Several other units on the property for rent do great place for families to get together. Hosts are great to deal with! Enjoyed our stay.

Lovely spot

Stayed here for a girls trip, the space was perfect and very clean, and in a great location - far enough away from the crowds but still close to everything you could need, beaches, restaurants, etc. Leslie was a great host.

Weekend Girls Trip

Beautiful cottage !

Had a beautiful stay, was perfect travel time from different attractions, just far enough you were countryside but close enough that the kids didnt complain ! Host was super friendly , we had everything we needed. Fire pit was nice at the end of your days and the beds were very comfortable ! Hope to stay in the future again ! Thanks so much !

Close to attractions

The property was well taken care of. It had lots of space for our family to spread out. Large kitchen and living room. A rural location but a short drive to the best beaches and attractions. About an hour drive to Charlottetown.

Fantastic space centrally located.

Famuly of 4, (2 teens),. Cottage is close to Kensington, and lots to explore with a short drive. Cottage was clean and spacious with deck, and outdoor sitting area with fire pit. Great place to stay and himebase to see the island. Would return.

Great times

The cabin was perfect for what we needed..... clean and more than enough space. Our only complaint was the beds in the larger room as they were very hard and almost impossible to sleep in as your body actually hurt. Other than that i have already book a cabin for next year just a different one 😊

Very nice. Extremely clean & we had lots of room

We really enjoyed being close to Cavendish . Enjoyed the set up for bedrooms as the 2 girls ( our granddaughter & her friend) were in a large room & each had a Queen Size bed. Our room was spacious also with a Queen Size bed. Beds were very comfortable. The Mini Home had everything we needed. WiFi, TV, all of the dishes, pots & pans, microwave etc. So clean & very cozy. We would certainly return to this location. Thank You :)

Visit to PEI for event

Our visit to PEI was great, with a small issue at check in with the rental we booked already being checked into by another guest, the owner was VERY FAST to respond and make another plan for us. We ended up on the same property just in a different, slightly smaller rental. To compensate us, the owner offered us breakfast at his restaurant both mornings we were in PEI which was a HUGE savings as the food was amazing, service was even better and we have now suggested the property and restaurant to several people. The location of the rental was great, everything we needed was inside, the shower in the bathroom was I would say the only draw back as it was very very small standup shower (hard to turn around at all while in the shower). The host/owner was great and accommodating, quick to respond when we were locked out of the unit we booked due to other people mistakenly checking in before our arrival. I am not sure if I would stay there at the high season rate again but I would in the off season. Short drive to everything and very close to a great go cart track.

Gîte dans un endroit très tranquille.Hébergement bien équipé pour la cuisine.Le climatiseur du passage est un peu bruyant mais nous pouvions dormir les fenêtres ouvertes la nuit. Il faut dire que les premières journées de notre arrivée, c’était la canicule.Bien situé pour les golfs et visites.

Perfect place to stay on the north side of PEI for a family of five. Very clean, lots of space. Well stocked with everything you need. AC is a mini split in the bedroom hall that works well and a stand alone unit in the living room. Host was great. Easy in and out and within 10 min of lots of great stuff.
