This luxury home is located in the exclusive Painted Rock community of Palisades Tahoe (formally Squaw Valley). The house is a few minutes drive from the base of the Squaw Valley ski area and the Everline Resort and Spa (formally the Resort at Squaw Creek.) The home is located at the end of a private cul-de-sac backing up to open space and is very private. The low elevation affords easy access by car with no steep slippery roads to negotiate. Whether you ski, golf, or mountain bike ride, this location gives you access to all that the Tahoe area has to offer. The home is complete with high-end finishes and quality furnishings and a large private hot tub. This is a private home and is completely stocked.

The home is comfortable for families. Upstairs includes a beautiful kitchen with limestone counter tops and professional appliances. There is a large dining room that will comfortably seat 10 adjacent to the family room with a floor to ceiling granite fireplace and flat screen TV. There are two master suites, a half bath, as well as a large mud room/laundry room on this level. The oversized 2 car garage is heated.

Great Ski house!

We had an excellent stay at Missy‘s lovely ski house. Everything was perfect. I really wouldn’t change a thing. I plan to come back again soon.

Wonderful Home

Beautiful home that is as advertised, if not better. Clean and comfortable with wonderful finishes. Heated floors were a nice surprise. Will definitely come back!

Great house - Great location - Great host

What a wonderful stay. Beautiful home, in range of village transportation, loved the big fireplace and spacious hot tub. Plenty of bedrooms and great common areas to make you feel at home. Communication with host was fast and easy. Five stars - thanks again for hosting us!

STAY HERE!!

The most gorgeous and comfortable house! We had the best time. Beds are incredibly comfortable and we LOVED having the gas built in to help start the real fire! My daughter sat by the fire after skiing every day and it was magical. Missy was super responsive and the nicest host. 100% want to stay here again!

Fantastic Home + Location

Perfect home for Tahoe Palisades!

This property is even better than what shows on VRBO. The home has everything you could need and is conveniently located to Tahoe Palisades- with a shuttle service to the mountain whenever needed. Missy was very communicative from the beginning and gave great recommendations for the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Dream Vacation

This home was fabulous from the outside to the inside. We loved all the cozy nooks for the family to hang out and watch tv, play a board game (they have so many) or just relax in the hot tub after a full day on the slopes! The ski resort was super close by and the shuttle makes it convenient for the coming and going to the resort. The kitchen has everything you could want and the beds were comfy! We loved everything about our stay!

The Perfect White Christmas

The house was absolutely perfect. Beautiful home with high end everything that was decorated such that it seemed out of a Christmas catalog. The home was more than enough space for 4 adults and 2 kids and could have easily hosted more. Shuttle ride to palisades was easy and convenient. Short drive to Tahoe City. I would 100% stay again.

Ski Trip

We had a great trip. Every year I take a ski trip with friends and family at various places in US and Canada. This was our first time at palisades. House was amazing! The kitchen was outfitted great and we cooked quite a few meals there. Hot tub was certainly a plus and is always a requirement for us. The shuttle service works like Uber but is free and usually gets to you in 10 - 15 mins (tips appreciated). This was also a great base for us to go to truckee and taho city to see the lake. Overall on of the best places we have stayed in the last few years.

Perfect 60th birthday!

I took my husband and our family here to celebrate his 60th birthday. There were 7 adults in the house and it was very spacious and ever so clean!! We cooked most of our meals in the very well appointed kitchen and this included a birthday cake. I was fortunate enough that there was even a cake plate. The rooms are large, the beds are cozy and the air hockey table was so much fun! In addition to all of this, the home is only 5 minutes from the Palisades ski resort (formerly Squaw Valley) and 10 minutes from Tahoe City. We would absolutely stay here again!! Thank you Missy for sharing your lovely home with us!

If the Fairmont did Family Cabins

Where to start?! The property is located just 4 minutes from Palisades where we spent every morning skiing. There is a massive fireplace that was exquisite to cozy up next to every evening with a huge couch our family spent cuddled up on. The kitchen was perfect to cook huge family meals. Every room was excellent with comfortable, huge cozy beds with layers upon layers of blankets to stay warm. The bathrooms were fantastic…and the floors throughout the home are HEATED! Luxury! The air hockey table was a hit with our kids and the downstairs backyard entry was perfect for going outdoors to the hot tub and to build a sled run for the kids. I can’t say enough things about this beautiful property. Highly recommend we hope we can stay again. Thank you to the host for sharing!

Gorgeous Retreat

What a beautiful home! This was perfect for our two families...two master bedrooms upstairs and a large family room upstairs, and downstairs a family room equipped with an air hockey table, TV and DVD player, and two bedrooms for the kids. This home is impeccably decorated and has everything you need for a luxurious and relaxing retreat. Playing cards around the large dining table, eating outside on the deck overlooking the beautifully landscaped backyard, doing puzzles on the large coffee table, soaking in the hot tub under the Tahoe sky, riding bikes out front and around the stunning neighborhood, cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, resting after a long and full day in the comfortable bed...this was such a PERFECT house for our two families. And the location...perfect. We love Squaw and all that the village has to offer...restaurants, art and wine festival, hiking, pools, etc. Missy, the owner, was extremely hospitable and helpful, offering a "my house is your house" feel. It really makes a difference when the homeowner is easy-going and committed to their renters having a positive experience. Thank you, Missy! We will definitely be back...

Our family had a great winter vacation here. The place was fully decked with holiday decorations. It is stocked - kitchen staples, games, bedding. Convenient to both Palisades and Alpine ski resorts, we enjoyed every minute!

Fabulous host and house!

We stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The house was lovely - great location, clean, well-stocked with basics, and had nice common spaces for entertaining (large dining, living, game room and yard with hot tub). The host, Missy, was a dream to work with. She was friendly, accommodating, responsive, and had a good sense of humor. She sent relevant information in advance, provided activity recommendations, and even offered some flex on the check-in/out times as a courtesy. We enjoyed our stay and experience so much, we are looking to return in the future! Thank you again, Missy!

Beautiful Property

Spectacular home!

This is an absolutely wonderful home, perfect for our two families to get away for a long weekend. The location, design, set-up, furnishings, amenities, etc., were all top-notch, high-end, and really quite perfect. It would be a five-star rental based on all of the boxes that get checked off, but this house has something extra: it's not a vacation rental; it's a home that is obviously loved and cared for by its owners. That makes it one of the nicest places we've stayed anywhere, and certainly in Tahoe. We loved staying there and so greatly appreciated Missy and her family for sharing their home with us!
