I was disappointed there was no common area w/seating there was couches in a couple rooms no chairs other then two that went w/a small table & a broken one no comfortable gathering area, no table large enough for the amount of people that says that can sleep so if we wanted to sit in communicate with each other, we had to sit on the floor we’re not able to eat together. In one BR the handle came off in my hand when I tried to adjust the water. The yard needed to be mowed the grill was a joke. As far as the location it was fine. I sprayed & wiped down everything bc it just look like it was not cleaned there was stuff hanging from beneath one of the refrigerators. Some kind of brown spot on a comforter. I can say despite all that & more we had a great holiday.

Thank you for your stay and for taking the time to leave your review. The home has several living areas rather than one large one. We will work on getting more seating in each to make it easier to gather together. We have just completed a deep clean of the home to address these other issues you mentioned. Our lawn is serviced weekly. However, we had quite a bit of rain prior to your stay which may have contributed to this. We do not advertise a grill but it seems a previous guest left a small charcoal grill in the yard. We are happy to hear you enjoyed otherwise.

Great location for all activities

We all loved this place. Our large group occupied the full house but setup as possibly 3 smaller units. Everyone having their own space was good except when wanted to be together no place indoors for us to gather. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, pleasure pier and more.

GREAT PLACE

We recently stayed at the McGuire Dent House in Galveston. We had a group of 17 with kids as young as 2 and 4 years old. Plenty of room and bathrooms for our group. Within walking distance to the beach and restaurant's. Would recommend for large groups or family.

Historic Site

This was an incredible property with tons of history and a very unique layout. It is basically 4 self-contained units all under one roof and built in 1901. We had so much fun researching the history on the home and loved the privacy that each unit provided. We will definitely book this property again!!!

Great place for a large family

I loved that the house was separated into four separate "apartments" which gave each adult the privacy of their own bedroom/living space. Also, it was only a block off of the Seawall which made for easy walking to the beach, restaurants, Pleasure Pier, and it was also within walking distance to a playground for the little ones and a basketball court for the teens in our group.

Lovely house in a good location

A few families from our soccer team stayed for a beach tournament. There were plenty of beds and with 4 kitchens each family was able to have one. We walked to Fish Tales for dinner and the pier. Great location! The property manager was very helpful and quickly answered my questions. Definitely recommend

Great property

We stayed at this location for the Lone Star Rally. We had 9 adults staying at the house. There was plenty of room for everyone to have privacy and enough bathrooms that nobody had to wait for a restroom. The only hiccup was a stain on one of the sheets. I contacted the property manager and it was taken care of immediately. We will definitely look for this house to rent again on our next trip.

Great for a large group!

The 4 units worked so well for our large group! We chaperoned 11 High School Seniors on a Galveston trip. Having our own unit allowed us to have privacy from all the teens, while also giving them the space to feel like we weren't always in their business. They loved the game room and also enjoyed having a kitchen in each unit. The location is so close to the Seawall and the Pleasure Pier! The property manager was easy to contact and replied immediately. We would definitely book again!
