Welcome to the Bungalow on Hillsborough River! Make our house your home and escape to the Bungalow River House to relax, unwind and recharge.

The Hillsborough River has a wonderful community of birds, fish, manatees, dolphins, and boaters and you can take it all in from your private patio overlooking the river. Bring your kayak or canoe for direct access to the river. Paddle down to Rick's on the River, Ulele Restaurant or Downtown Tampa.

One of the best ways to see the river is by hopping on the Pirate Water Taxi that picks up at Armature Works, a 5 min drive from the house... you can hop on and off at various stops along the Tampa Riverwalk like Ulele, the Sail Pavilion, and Curtis Hixon Park, all while taking in the beautiful river and downtown views.

The house can accommodate a group of 4 guests comfortably. You have the entire downstairs of a 2 story duplex as your own apartment.
The spacious bedroom has a King size bed, double closets and a stackable washer and dryer.
In the living room, you will enjoy water views from the window as you unwind or watch TV. Additional guests can sleep on the Queen sleeper sofa.
The house has WIFI and a smart tv so you may log into your personal Netflix or Amazon accounts.
You will spend most of your time on our covered open air patio that overlooks the Hillsborough River. Enjoy all your meals outside at the table or large bar that overlooks the water. Sit on the bench of the small dock that has steps right down into the water so you can bring your kayak or canoe.

The unit was excellent, clean, quiet, spacious and easy parking. Host was very responsive. The deck is so great, we spent most of our time when we were at the house sitting outside. Definitely recommend!

The river view was amazing! Having a quiet covered patio where we could enjoy a glass of wine was perfect! The neighborhood is undergoing a lot of development but there was no issue with noise. Rick's on the River was 2 min by car and they have excellent food that is very reasonably priced considering the ambiance of being on the water.Our communication with the host was fast and we would love to stay at her property again.

We stayed for a soccer tournament in the area. This was centrally located and easy to get to. We enjoyed our stay and was comfortable. Easy check in and out and great communication with the manager. We would stay again.

The bungalow was great. Very comfortable bed, great outdoor chillin area at night, saw some amazing wildlife, yellow crowned night heron hunting ground! The art all over is amazing and itā€™s easy to get everywhere. Not the greatest part of town Iā€™d say but with the gate felt 100% safe. Would suggest!

Peaceful with a River View

This was a fun place to stay in Tampa and away from all the crazy of the city. The house was clean, cozy, and full of character. Sitting on the back porch watching the boats go by and all the critters around the area made for some good relaxing time. And having Rick's within walking distance made it really feel like vacation. In all, we had a great time. Highly recommend!

USF graduation

We stayed for several days for USF graduation. The house was about 20 minutes from campus depending on traffic. Armature Works and the Riverwalk are close by, and we enjoyed dinner at Ulele and walked over to Rickā€™s on the Water. This was a great home-base for our family while in Tampa.

My teenage son and I stayed 3 nights, I had the front bedroom and my son had the back room with the foldout couch. The back porch is right on the river. Really liked that the property was gated. Close to so many amazing local rerestaurants and bakeries.

The property was clean and ready at our arrival. Being gated is nice, within 12-15 min to airport, international mall. The night view of the city was perfect. Loves the shower which had a bench, The king bed super comfy, the ambient lighting in the bathroom and living room made it easy to move about at night
