Welcome to Black Bear Ridge!
Your home away from home nestled in the heart of the Beautiful Smoky Mountains.
Our luxurious Five-bedroom log cabin is the perfect get-away for those who want the excitement of Pigeon Forge and the honky-tonk of Gatlinburg, while still being able to enjoy the serenity of the Smoky Mountain National Park.

As you make your way through the winding roads of Wears Valley the panoramic views are only the beginning of your adventure. Upon entering the gated community of Dogwood Farms, the beauty of the natural surroundings are only surpassed by your arrival at Black Bear Ridge.

The first thing that will catch your eye is the awesome views of the Smoky Mountains! Tall windows bring the outside inā€¦ allowing you to awaken to all of Mother Natureā€™s beauty each morning. True to its local roots, many of Black Bear Ridgeā€™s furnishings are purchased from local craftsmen with an added touch of modern appointments to make your stay memorable.

The Cabin boasts Five bedrooms with more than enough space for 16 to sleep!

The first floor is where you enter the cabin and where you will find the living room with a 65 inch TV located above the gas Fireplace, dining room, kitchen, bathroom & 2 Queen size bedrooms, one bedroom even has its own private deck!
The full size kitchen is furnished with all the necessities needed to make a succulent meal. The dining table is just steps away from the kitchen and is surrounded by windows so you can take in the view while youā€™re enjoying your meal. We even have a charcoal grill if you would like to throw on a hearty steak.

Upstairs is the Master Bedroom Suite with a King size bed of course and a private bathroom featuring a large soaking tub, frameless glass shower and double bowl sink. The Master bedroom is a sight to behold as you have endless views of the Smoky Mountains at the foot of your bed and awesome sunsets off your own private master deck! The master suite also features a 50 inch TV as well as your own in-room fireplace!!
Also located upstairs as a small Loft/sitting area that features a nice log style futon sofa that turns into a Queen size bed if its needed to accommodate some extra guests.

Downstairs in the large game room there are 2 bunk beds that feature 4 twin beds. The game room is where the PoolTable is located as well as another 65 inch TV and comfortable sitting area to relax and watch your favorite movies or TV show on Direct TV.
Downstairs is also where you will find the 4th and 5th bedrooms with Queen beds plus another 2 bathrooms, along with the full size laundry facilities.

How about taking a dip in the hot tub with views of the mountains to unwind? Our outdoor deck just off the the Game Room offers plenty of room for everyone to soak in nature and you might even get a visit from one of the locals, of the four-legged variety or even a quick zoom from a hummingbird!

Wonderful place to stay and plenty of room for a little vacation with our big family of 13! Our adult kids and their spouses all had plenty of room and the view was beautiful! We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking to book a cabin for a large group!

Our family of 4 generations thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin and the views are beautiful. Very spacious and fairly well equipped (suggest extra kitchen trash bags). The downstairs playroom needs attention, the pool table particularly.

Wonderful stay

Property was great. It was right at the end of the road, which allowed us a beautiful view, especially in the mornings. Property was easy to find and get to, although there is a steep hill on the last turn that you need to gun it on. Overall a pleasant stay.

Family Christmas trip

Our family of 10 (6 adults, 4 children) had a wonderful time at Black Bear Ridge. The cabin was exactly as described and provided more than enough room for our group! The views were incredible and we would love the opportunity to stay here again sometime!

Spring Break Trip

We had a great stay at this cabin! We had children a baby, and an elderly woman, and it accommodated everyone nicely! A bear got into the trash on the porch during the middle of the night, which was really exciting for the kids! I would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Woods Family trip

This was my familyā€™s first cabin trip and one together as well. First of all the view was amazing!! The cabin had enough space for us all, we had a little trouble with the fireplace in the living room but once it start working itā€™s was great. Overall the cabin was great and so were the host.

Anniversary trip

We had a family trip for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. The views from the house were absolutely beautiful. We were close enough to everything but far enough to feel removed. There were 9 of us and the house was plenty large enough for us all to feel comfortable. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to spend time in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.

Family vacation

Beautiful cabin was everything it promised and more. We had 15 people and were never crowded. When booking i thought we would be only there at night but everyone enjoyed the cabin and we spent most of our time there. Having that much family time was great. We even saw a bear while out on balcony early one morning. Worth every penny!

Best weekend

This cabin was AWESOME!! We had an adult gathering this weekend and it was epic. The cabin is nice. Enough room for everybody. The only thing and I mean the only thing was no t.v. in all the rooms, but we was having so much fun no on even really cared. The owners are great they let us check in early and get things set up. Thank you so much for letting us make these amazing memories in your amazing cabin!!

Amazing!

This review is more than a bit overdue. I stayed in this cabin with a big group of friends and my siblings in March 2022 and they are all still talking about it to this day (almost a year later)! The cabin was very clean and private. The view was gorgeous! The property manager was so accommodating and communicated promptly. We had a great time and we would stay here again! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Family wedding

A large group of my family stayed here for my cousinā€™s wedding. The cabin was perfect for us! The description was very accurate (esp the steep drive to the top lol). Beautiful cabin, beautiful view, and only about a 15-20 minute drive to the island at Pigeon Forge. Our only complaint is that the only mirrors in the house are in the bathrooms, so it was a little difficult for all of us to get ready for the wedding at the same time. We will definitely recommend this cabin to family and friends.

Amazing

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and the views are breathtaking! The beds were great and all of the furniture was very comfortable. The hosts were great to communicate with and very accommodating. You can not go wrong with this cabin!! I will say that the road going up to the cabin is steep in one place. We made it up with our van but we were pushing it's limit lol Other than that the stay was fantastic!

Large family weekend getaway

This cabin was perfect for our large family!! While not close to town, it only took us about 15 minutes to get back down to the parkway. The cabin provided all of the space that we needed and was very clean. Our only complaint was that the cleaning people were still in the cabin when we arrived at check in time and we were delayed getting into the cabin by more than 30 minutes. While this seems petty, there is no where close by to wait so we had to wait in the driveway in our cars. Otherwise we had a great trip!!

Nice Stay

We loved our view but didnā€™t realize it was so far up in the mountains The cabin kitchen was clean, but the bathrooms had some issues. There was hair on the floor in some showers and they were not clean enough.Some bathrooms only had a partial roll of tissue and there was not enough garbage bags in the kitchen. The basement patio door lock was broken, and we were not able to lock it, but we didnā€™t feel that was an issue because it was so high from the ground. Overall it was a nice cabin, and we may stay there again
