Nestled in the peaceful rural village of Pago del Humo, Cuba Libre offers the perfect blend of relaxation, privacy, and authentic Spanish charm. Within walking distance you'll find bars and restaurants, a mini supermarket, pharmacy, and a convenient bus service connecting you to nearby villages and beautiful beaches.

Outdoor Living
The villa is surrounded by a private walled garden filled with fragrant citrus trees and colourful bougainvillea, creating a tranquil setting for your holiday. The kitchen opens directly onto a sunny terrace overlooking the pool, complete with a dining table and seating for six guests—perfect for al fresco meals. A charcoal barbecue is also provided for relaxed outdoor dining.

The private 8m x 4m swimming pool features gentle Roman steps for easy access and is exclusively for guests' use. Sun loungers and a parasol invite you to unwind under the Andalusian sun. The south-facing terrace enjoys sunshine from early morning until evening, while the surrounding walls ensure complete privacy. Friendly Spanish neighbours add to the authentic local atmosphere.

Inside, Cuba Libre offers spacious and comfortable accommodation with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The living room features a fireplace, creating a welcoming space to relax after a day exploring the region. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for a self-catering stay.
For year-round comfort, the villa is equipped with air conditioning, central heating, and a charming wood-burning stove for cosy winter evenings.

Cuba Libre is perfectly positioned for exploring the many attractions of the Costa de la Luz and the Province of Cádiz. While a car is recommended, local amenities, including shops, restaurants, bars, and the pharmacy, are just a few minutes away by car or approximately a 15-minute walk.

The stunning Blue Flag beach of La Barrosa is only a 15-minute drive away, while nearby natural dune beaches offer unspoilt coastal beauty. The traditional Spanish town of Chiclana de la Frontera, with its lively markets, shops, and excellent restaurants, can be reached in just 10 minutes. Several golf courses are also located nearby.

This part of Spain combines modern amenities with authentic Andalusian character and remains refreshingly unspoilt by mass tourism, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a genuine Spanish experience.

Perfectly located Holiday Hideaway

We stayed for a week and found the place to be clean, bright and very sheltered away from the hustle and bustle but close to local beaches, restaurants and cafes only 10-15min drive to Conil & Playa La Barrosa. The pool was definitely a highlight of the property. we enjoyed many days out on the patio enjoying the sunshine and BBQ's. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing holiday

Lovely little villa which was absolutely perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults plus two very tall older teenage boys). Extremely clean and well appointed. Very quiet and peaceful. A 30 minute drive from Cadiz but lovely beach much closer.

Most Relaxing Holiday Ever!

We loved Cuba Libre, it was fantastic. Everything was clean and the villa very well equipped, with lovely fluffy towels, a great coffee machine / BBQ and a beautiful pool to name just a few things. The area was secluded, private and peaceful but was so close to beautiful beaches and lovely restaurants. We hired a car which was required and enjoyed visits to Cadiz, Jerez and the stunning Seville. Overall we loved our 2 weeks and hope to return!

We were delighted with the accommodation

The villa was everything we needed and lived up to our expectations. This was the best holiday we ever had in Spain and we have stayed in many parts of the country. We liked that the area was quite rural and quiet at night but still close to Chiclana and Conil. We cycled and walked and went to La Barossa to swim. There are many beautiful beaches to visit. The pool at the villa is clean and just the right temperature. We will definitely book a return visit.

Nice and pleasant stay

The whole property was quite clean. Relaxing and quiet place surrounded by other properties but the house was really tranquil. You could only hear the birds, cocks and dogs. The house was nicely fresh and all the rooms are provided with air conditioning system. The outdoor dining area next to the pool is quite pleasant and convenient. It is the perfect place to disconnect and relax. The owner was always attentive to our questions and requests.

Blissful Stay

This is the third year in a row that we have stayed in this fabulous villa. We love it - it's so peaceful but such a good base to get to lots of other areas for visits (Seville, Cadiz, Conil, Jerez etc). The nearby La Barossa beach area has a beautiful and very clean beach and great restaurants and lovely markets selling jewellery and clothing. The villa is brilliant - clean, really well equipped with an amazing pool, great BBQ area, superb air conditioning and beautiful gardens. We love listening to the swallows and sparrows and smelling the jasmine while chilling out at the pool and watching the beautiful dragonflies flitting around. The villa has everything you could possibly need and we cannot recommend it enough - the fact that we have visited three years in a row probably tells you all you need to know.

Villa Cuba Libre is the perfect place to stay. We were here for two weeks and loved it. The villa has all the facilities you could need, including some extras such as a juicer, coffee pod machine and an air fryer. The pool area is great with plenty of sun loungers and always some shade if you need it. There is not a lot in the area (but we knew that) and the fabulous beaches are only 10 - 15 minutes away. Cadiz, Conil and Seville are a must visit. I don't usually recommend restaurants as its always a personal taste, but if you like Tapas, El Arbol in Barrosa is fantastic and some of the best food I've ever tasted.Communication with Berna (the owner) was faultless and any queries asked were answered very quickly.If we are back in the area we will definately try and book Cuba Libre again

Ten days in Cádiz

Ten comfortable days in Cadiz in a house that without excessive luxuries ends up being very comfortable to be with the family. The wonderful porch and a functional barbecue and the pool are the best things in the house, although the hammock mats need a little maintenance. The rooms are the right size, the beds are comfortable and all have air conditioning, which ends up being necessary many nights. The kitchen can be the weak point of the house because the furniture is quite deteriorated. Finally, indicate that we were negatively surprised by the lack of cleanliness and the clutter of some areas as well as the fact that no one showed up at check-in or checkout.

Hello Jamie Thank you for your review. I am delighted you enjoyed your holiday but disappointed that everything wasn't as you expected. Unfortunately there was a levante wind prior to your arrival and this brings dust with it. I have taken on your comments about the kitchen and have started to make some upgrades. At the beginning of every season I buy new sun mattresses for the beds, the sun the wind and the use by previous guests fade these during the course of the summer. Next year I will look at options to change these sun loungers to ones that won't require mattresses. I spoke with Romina and she told me that she couldn't meet you at your time of arrival but she had spoken to you and explained where the keys were etc. and she thought you were happy with this. A welcome return to Cuba Libre

This was the second year in a row we have stayed at Cuba Libre and we were slightly concerned that it wouldn't be as good a holiday as our first. We needn't have worried as there is so much to do and see in the area and further afield (you will need a hire car to get to the villa and explore). The villa is totally brilliant for our family needs - amazing pool and BBQ area that we all love, secure high walls and gate that ensure our children are safely contained and we can relax. Peaceful and tranquil with only chirping birds and the occasional rooster. The villa is very clean with an extremely well equipped kitchen and lovely living room with a great TV with Sky channels. It's close to amazing beaches and lovely restaurants and we had great days and evenings out in Seville, Jerez and Cadiz. We love our holidays here and it will be hard to replicate the relaxing time we spend here anywhere else. We will be back again I am sure. Thanks to owner Berna for being on the end of a phone to cheerfully fix any small problem we have/had. I don't think anyone could ever regret booking this great villa.

Lovely stay

We enjoyed our stay at Cuba Libre very much. Particular plus points for us were the pool and the privacy and oleander bushes and jasmine of the pool area with the outdoor dining space. The windows have insect screens, which keep out the bugs very efficiently. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and eating in and there is air conditioning in each bedroom and the living room to make life comfortable. Berna was most helpful in providing all the information we needed as was Ross. A couple of minor things - it would have been helpful to have some instructions on the microwave as the markings on it had been almost obliterated but we worked it out in the end. It would have been good to have had a fitted bed sheet that actually fitted the mattress on the bed (it kept coming off in the night) and synthetic fabrics are not comfortable in the heat. Nothing to do with the property, itself but the number of barking dogs in the development is difficult to ignore. Having said this, we would be happy to return in the future.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in der Villa Cuba Libre. Vielen Dank an Berna für die freundliche und schnelle Kommunikation. Das Haus ist liebevoll mit allem eingerichtet was man braucht. Alles funktioniert einwandfrei. Toll waren die Nespresso Kaffeemaschine und der Air-Fryer. Besonders gefallen hat uns natürlich der Pool, an dem wir entspannte Stunden genießen konnten. 2x die Woche kommt der Poolboy. Es gibt eine Treppe hinein und wird dann immer tiefer, bis man nicht mehr stehen kann. Man benötigt auf jeden Fall ein Auto. Zum Flughafen Jerez de la Frontera sind es ca. 40 Minuten, zum Strand La Barrosa ca. 25 Minuten und nach Cadiz ca, 50 Minuten.Vielen Dank für diese tollen zwei Wochen Urlaub.

Todo perfecto muy bien y muy limpio. Por decir algo, las luces de la piscina no funcionaron en toda la semana, me explico como iban pero no funcionaron, y la vecina que solo quiere que leas el periódico. Eran las 5 de la tarde pusimos un poco de musica (sin volumen excesivo)mientras nos bañabamos en la piscina y paso a quejarse, en fin

Arrivati a notte fonda,abbiamo trovato abbastanza bene la villa con l'aiuto del navigatore,non c'era nessuno ad aspettarci, data l'ora tarda,comunque er tutto a posto.villa molto bella,piscina fantastica,però dobbiamo dire alcune cose:1 la famosa assistente Romina non l'abbiamo mai vista,2 la pulizia della villa sua all'interno che all'esterno non era fatta bene,3 c'erano formiche ovunque,dentro e fuori la casa 4 abbiamo cercato la sign.Romina perché l'ombrellone esterno era già rotto ( prima del nostro arrivo) poi vi è stata una incomprensione perché era la base che sorreggeca l ombrellone rotta.5 abbiamo chiesto invano asciugamani di ricambio ma non ci sono mai arrivati..COMUNQUE NONOSTANTE QUESTI INCONVENIENTI IL TEMPO E IL MARE MERAVIGLIOSO CI HANNO FATTO VIVERE UNA SPLENDIDA VACANZA.SPERIAMO CHE ALLA PROSSIMA LE CISE SI SISTEMINO.UN SALUTO ALLA ASSINTENTE "VIRTUALE" ROMINA

Dear Mario, I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your holiday in our villa. I am sorry you did not meet Romina but this was due to your very late arrival. Romina told me the outside sun umbrella broke and she replaced it as soon as she could. We usually supply one set of towels for the pool and bathroom, extra sets would have to be requested. In regard to the ants, this can happen during the summer, Romina put down some ant traps and this seems to have resolved the problem, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Todo lo que necesitas para unas vacaciones sensacionales

La casa es espaciosa y está muy bien equipada. La piscina exterior es estupenda, con sus hamacas, su ducha y todo lo que necesitas para pasar unos días estupendos. Por ponerle alguna pega, el acceso en coche es por caminos de tierra y puede resultar un poco incómodo. Pero la casa lo compensa.

Alojamiento perfecto para estancia en familia

Hemos pasado unas estupendas vacaciones en familia en cuba libre. El alojamiento dispone de todo lo necesario, incluso de trona y cuna para nuestro bebé. Lo mejor del alojamiento es sin duda la piscina y la ubicación ya que se encuentra a pocos minutos en coche de diversas playas y centros urbanos.

La casa está muy equipada. Con todo lo necesario, un 10. La piscina muy limpia y con sol durante todo el día. Hemos disfrutado muchísimo de la casa. La atención tanto del propietario como de la persona encargada de la entrega de llaves ha sido en todo momento excepcional. Gracias por hacer posible que pasemos dos semanas inmejorables. esperamos volver.

Hi, my name is Berna, I live in Ireland with my husband Charly, we both love Spain and speak the language. We spent 3 years searching for our ideal home in the sun and we bought villa Cuba Libre in 2006.
Our favourite city is Seville and we visit every year
usually for the Feria in April, to visit the sights to eat Tapas and drink the local brews Cruz Campo, manzanilla, Tierra Blanca wine.
We go to Jerez for the International Flamenco Festival in Feburary/March, the Feria of Horses in Jerez in May or The Wine Harvest Festival in September.
We love to spend time in Cuba Libre as it offers total relaxation.
We are very active and love to walk and cycle in the area (5 minutes) from the villa is Pinar de Hierro y Espartossa National Park.) We run and swim on La Barrosa Beach. We love to picnic on the beach at Caños de Mecca and El Palmar. A visit to the Roman Ruin at Bolonia is a must.
We go to the market of Chiclana and buy fresh locally grown vegetables, fresh fish and meat for the BBQ.
Great venta for traditional spanish food at very reasonable prices Venta Rufino, La Muela. We recommend Los Pescadores 1 and 3, great seafood.

We bought the villa which we named after our favourite drink, Cuba Libre (ingredients are: Cacique rum, CocaCola, drops of Angostura Bitters, juice of half a lime from the garden and ice). We added a pool and patio garden with a built in BBQ. We put in a Wood Burner which adds warmth and coziness to the villa during the winter.
It is in the perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and relax at the same time. Chiclana is only 5 minutes drive away. Easy access to Seville, Cadiz, Jerez and Malaga.
The village of Pago Del Humo has a range of bars/restaurants serving authentic food at very reasonable prices. It has a pharmacy, mini supermarket with daily fresh hot baked bread.
Lose yourself in Seville spend a day tasting delicious cheap tapas, finding unique shops and hidden treasures everywhere. The Andalusian capital has it all.
The Chiclana Fair begins with the holiday of San Antonio, 13 June, and forms one of the most important party dates in the Chiclana calendar. Andalusian tradition and spirit is everywhere: Flamenco and Sevillanas Music, food, sherry, the typical fair-dresses for women and men... for one week Chiclana will be partying day and night
Visit the beach of El Palmar and dine in Casa Francisco or Casa Juan, excellent fresh seafood served in both restaurants.
Visit the hilltop village of Vejer de la Frontera, dine in Enchanting, historic hotel El Califa, Moroccan decor, excellent restaurant with large courtyard garden, and rooftop terrace bar.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Cuba Libre is convenient to a magnificent coastline that stretches for miles with golden sand and promenades, the beaches are never crowded and you have the choice of the more commercial or the tranquil stretches of unspoiled coast. The nearest beach is La Barrosa about 10 minutes by car. Water sports are popular here Trafalgar Surf, in Conil can offer you lessons, equipment hire and general help on where to go for the best surf.
This relatively unspoiled area is where the Spanish choose to take their holidays.
We can supply pool towels, and a set of golf clubs so visitors can travel light. Please ask about the clubs before arriving. Cleaning during your stay, by arrangement - please ask.
