Sleeps 6-8. *4 bedroom 2 bathrooms (from July 2026)* Maison Giez is a traditional French house, full of character and charm. The house is situated in the historical village of Giez, at the south end of Lake Annecy. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs (2 double rooms and a room with 2 sets of bunk beds) and a large bathroom. Downstairs 1 double bedroom with ensuite (from July 2026). Large kitchen/dining room with log burner. living room, utility room and toilet. Large, private and enclosed garden and patio area with a stone built barbecue and table and chairs for outside dining. Driveway with parking for 2 cars. The house is a few minutes walk from the impressive golf course at Giez and a few minutes ride to the cycle path. Free wifi and satellite freeview TV.

Beautiful and large house in a quite surrounding. Level of maintainance could probably be a bit better. The house is close to the lake of Annecy and many beautiful hikes can be mad in the mountains around the place.

Lovely property, beautiful location

We stayed with our 2 children and in laws. The house was very clean, well equipped including plenty of toys/games and situated in a lovely quiet area. We spent days at the lake only a short drive away and evenings sitting out. The owner was helpful and prompt in responding to queries and our security deposit was also returned extremely quickly on our return. Would definitely revisit.

Charming and authentic French home from home

We had a great two weeks here in Giez. The house was very well equipped and could comfortably house 8 or more people. The village of Giez is peaceful, historic and authentic and within very easy reach of the lake by car, bike or on foot. The town of Faverges is less than 2 miles away and has amenities such as supermarkets. The cycle path around the lake is easily accessible from Giez too and just over a mile from the house. We had great communication from the hosts leading up to our stay and when we arrived there was a food box and drinks and supplies waiting in the fridge. The handover of the house was easy and we had complete privacy for the entire two weeks. It really was a home from home but in a superb location and we were blessed with the weather, experiencing a thunderstorm one evening and only one rainy day in the whole two weeks. I would highly recommend this place.

Mooi huis met privacy en mooi uitzicht

Het is een mooi ruim huis in een mooie omgeving. Verschillende supermarkten op korte (auto) afstand. Verschillende uitjes in de buurt. Wandeling La Sumbay erg mooi. Fietsen om het meer erg leuk. Met de auto naar Annecy kan wat meer tijd kosten in het hoogseizoen vanwege de drukte. Terras/tuin word niet echt onderhouden waardoor het nogal een verwaarloosde indruk geeft. Tuinmeubilair is deels kapot. Bijna gevaarlijk om op enkele stoelen te zitten. Dit geld voor binnen ook. Beddengoed rook zuur :( . Bij het opmaken van de bedden zagen wij dat het erg vies was onder/tussen het matras en hebben de stofzuiger erbij gehaald om alles schoon te maken. Stofzuigerzak zat helemaal vol en stonk daardoor. Gelukkig lagen er nieuwe zaken die we konden gebruiken. Er stond wel een koffiemachine in de kast maar geen pot. Daardoor hebben wij wat moeten improviseren om koffie te kunnen zetten. Wel een Cafetiére maar dit vonden wij niet fijn en lekker. Er zit inderdaad een timmerfabriek naast dit huis maar niet echte veel last van gehad. Misschien door vakantieperiode? Op wat (verbeter)punten na zeker een mooie week gehad in dit huis. Onze jongens hebben ook lol gehad van de Wii :)

Tolle Zeit

Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen, mit großem Garten und kurzem Weg zum Radweg, der an den See und nach Annecy führt. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet. Die Schlafzimmer sind gemütlich. Der Ausblick auf die Berge ist grandios. Wir haben eine tolle Zeit verbracht und würden das Haus wieder buchen.

Giez 2022

This is the 2nd time we stayed at Bonnar Clarke's property and yet again we were not disappointed. The house had everything we needed for a family of six and an excellent base to continue to explore Annecy and the surrounding area. Easy access to the cycle path that takes you all around lake Annecy and then further on to Albertville if you choose. Plenty of grocery shops and bakeries in nearby Faverges for the early morning fresh bread. Thanks for letting us stay at your property.

Agréable maison au milieu des montagnes

Nous avons passé de très agréables vacances en famille, enfants et petits enfants. La maison est très fonctionnelle, et parfaitement équipée. Le village se prête à de belles promenades en famille, et le lac tout proche offre de jolies possibilités de baignades. Nous garderons un très bon souvenir de ces vacances !

La maison est très agréable en plus d être très jolie. Les pièces sont spacieuses et on se sent tout de suite chez soi. Elle est également fonctionnelle et très bien équipée, les enfants ont adorés la maison, la proximité des balades à pieds et à vélo. À refaire

Gemütliches Ferienhaus mit Freizeitmöglichkeiten am See und in den Bergen

Wir haben zu viert eine Woche in dem Ferienhaus in Giez verbracht (eine Familie mit zwei erwachsenen Töchtern). Wir haben uns in dem netten Haus sehr wohl gefühlt, es ist liebevoll renoviert, gut ausgestattet (insbesondere die Küche) und sehr sauber. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend und hat einen großen Garten. In dem Essbereich konnten wir gemütlich an einem großen Tisch essen, bei gutem Wetter bietet es sich an, sich auf der Terrasse vor dem Haus an den Tisch zu setzen und dort den Abend ausklingen zu lassen. Der See von Annecy ist nicht nur wunderschön, sondern hat auch viel zu bieten; unweit von Giez befindet sich ein Badestrand mit Bootsverleih und in den umliegenden Bergen kann man schöne Wanderungen unternehmen. Insgesamt haben wir die Woche in Giez sehr genossen und können das Ferienhaus nur weiterempfehlen.

Séjour reposant à proximité du lac

Maison spacieuse très bien équipée, piste cyclable au départ de la maison. De nombreux vélos à disposition, le lac est à 6 km du lac,!au bout du lac, ce qui facilite la visite des deux rives du lac. Je recommande

Charmantes und niveauvolles Haus

Wir haben hier mit erwachsenen Kindern zu viert eine fantastische Urlaubswoche verbracht. Die Region ist traumhaft und das Haus in einem Dorf sehr schön gelegen, in ausreichender Nähe zum See, so dass man schwimmen gehen kann, aber auch weit genug vom touristischen Treiben entfernt. Das Ferienhaus selbst ist wunderschön gestaltet, mit einer guten Aufteilung der Räume, liebevoll und geschmackvoll möbliert und professionell mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Dass alles absolut sauber und gepflegt war, versteht sich von selbst. Wir konnten zu jeder Tageszeit sehr erholsam vor dem Haus sitzen, da es auch bei hohen Temperaturen immer Schatten, aber auch genügend Sonne gab. Insgesamt ein ausgesprochen schönes Haus in einer sehr reizvollen Umgebung, empfehlenswert!

Maison Giez- Nice house near to lake Annecy

Nice house nearby lake Annecy and the Alps. The house was very clean and it is more a farmer house than a modern villa. Although not a major minor point you should be made aware that there is a timber factory nearby and if you are outdoors or have the windows open there is some sawing noises from 6:30 in the morning until 16:30 and a another point of criticism is that the beds in the two master are short 1.90m (the mattress is however fine) and the chairs in the garden could be more luxurious. In total I rank this house as a7.

Family holiday heaven!

Beautiful, characterful French house in breathtaking countryside. A stones throw from Lake Annecy and its many lakeside retreats. The house is spotless and has everything you could need. Will return for sure!

Comfortable, well equipt house

Stayed here for a week with young family in June 2017. The house was clean, very well equipt (travel cot and stair gate available) with a good layout and good size of rooms. The house is in a peaceful village and is in close proximity to the cycle path (easy flat route - 22km to Annecy). Plenty of outdoor activities in the surrounding area. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to our queries. We would not hessitate to book again if we were in the area.

Lovely character property and well located

Spent a week here with my wife and two children aged 15 and 11. We wanted a change from beach holidays and this place proved to be perfect. The property itself has loads of character and is very spacious. The kitchen area is fantastic and it is very well equipped. It was wonderful to wake up and see the mountains each morning. The location is also brilliant. Lake Annecy is a short distance away and very easy to reach by the nearby cycle path. There is loads to do in the area - we spent a couple of days walking in the mountains and even managed to have a day in Geneva - about a 90 minute drive. We also spent some time in La Sambuy ski resort which is only 20 minutes away by car. The children loved the luge and we took the telesiege up the mountain where the views are breathtaking and there are some lovely walks. We would definitely recommend this property and a holiday in this part of France.

Perfect location and fantastic accommodation

This is a lovely well-equipped family home in a perfect location for walking, cycling and sightseeing. We instantly felt at home, and our children aged 8 and 10 appreciated the toys and DVDs. The property is well sited for the beaches and restaurants on Lake Annecy. There were so many fantastic walks around the area that we simply ran out of time. We would definitely recommend this property.

Alpine winter

We love this house and area so much that we have returned for a second winter season. The house is perfect for our requirements - comfortable ,roomy and extremely well equipped ( even a travel cot for our first grandchild last year) . Various friends and family visit us and it's so lovely sitting around large kitchen table with the stove lit. Numerous ski resorts are less than an hours drive away ( the closest is under half an hour ) and it is a perfect location for hill walking , also convenient to the "Voie Verte" a walking and cycle path between Annecy and Albertville . We spent summers in Annecy when our family were growing up so can confidently recommend the property at any time of the year as it is only minutes from beautiful lake Annecy and of course the city itself. There is also a magnificent golf course in the historical village of Giez within walking distance with wonderful views of which one never gets tired.

A beautiful house

We stayed here for a week in June with our 2-year old daughter and had a wonderful time. Unlike most places we have stayed in before, the property actually looks even better in reality than in the photos. Giez is so peaceful and we enjoyed ambling down the lane to visit the cows and watching the kites soar ahead. The house and garden are perfect for young children and very safe. We didn't venture out in the evening, but Annecy is an easy drive / cycle ride away. The scenery is truly stunning. Have recommended Maison Giez to all our friends and hopefully we will be back again ourselves one day.

We were on holiday at lake Annecy for the 2nd year when we viewed and bought our holiday home. We love the area and have enjoyed many holidays with friends, summer and winter.
