This 2 bedroom cottage is located just off the Ring of Kerry approx 10 min drive from the picturesque bustling town of Kenmare, famous for its award winning restaurants and pubs. The house is south facing and enjoys stunning views to the Caha Mountains and the Beara Peninsula. Nearby Coss Strand, Pat Spillane's Bar, the Ring O'Kerry Golf and Country Club, Templenoe Pier (for sea swimming and sailing) and the forest walks of Dromore Wood are all within 5 min driving distance. Local activity centres offer a wide range of water sports, including sailing and kayaking. Other local amenities include forest walks, hill walking, horse riding and pony trekking, trout / salmon and deep sea fishing.

The property is an excellent base for exploring the Iveragh, Beara and Dingle Peninsulas and for day drives to Killarney National Park.

The owner is a wheelchair user, so the property has been adapted to be ideal for persons of reduced mobility. Pets welcome by arrangement with owner, but must be kept out of bedroom area. Sleeps 4/5.

This was a beautiful home and in a perfect location for exploring County Kerry with my family. We loved the property and the lovely garden. I will definitely recommend to others!

Down one of those curvey one lane Irish roads, this bungalow featured lovely interior touches, leather couches, stunning art, a well stocked bookcase and kitchen, and a beautifully kept garden—like staying at a manor. The scenery around was jaw dropping as well. The manager, Margaret, responded instantly to queries. She even managed to score us sunny skies! A great stay.

Great location just a short drive into Kenmare. Absolutely beautiful grounds and home.Monica was great at communicating and left clear instructions on anything we might have questions about. The home was well equipped with everything we needed. Very warm and welcoming. Absolutely stunning grounds and we even had a deer visit one morning. Thank you Monica for a very pleasant stay. Would certainly recommend her home.

Lovely property. Very comfortable. The wet room off the bedroom was fine. The other bathroom needed a bit of attention. It would be nice to give it a makeover and install a bath. The laundry facilities worked fine. The property was surrounded by a lovely garden. It would have been nice to have some comfortable seating to enjoy should the weather permit. The view could have been improved by trimming some of the plants at the front to enable a clear view to the bay. Kitchen was excellently equipped. Lots of instruction manuals available. Some were obsolete - why not remove them? Lots of tourist information again some dated back to 2015, why not clear out every year. On the whole we had a really lovely stay.The host very helpful and friendly

Beautiful home

The home was perfect for my sister and I. It was very comfortable. It was centrally located for our day trips to Killarney, Beary Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry.

Fantastic Holiday

The house is the perfect spot it had everything we needed. The kids had great fun in the garden. I would highly recommend this property.

Peace and Quiet

Lovely bungalow in a beautiful surrounding with great scenery. Very quiet and tranquil yet near enough to the bustle of Kenmare and right on the Ring of Kerry

Peaceful vacation in Kerry

We had a wonderful and lovely time in this cozy house. Our host was very kind and friendly. The kitchen was well stuffed with everything you could possibly need 😊 We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you so much 😊

Fantastic house for visiting the peninsulas!

The house was comfortable, quiet and private, about 10 minutes from Kenmare. Our family enjoyed our 7 days very much visiting the 3 peninsulas from this home base, and Margret was a superb host that helped us out in several ways we very much appreciated. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, well organised cottage

We had a very good stay in a beautiful scenery. The cottage was very well organised but the scrubs were so grown : we did not see the bay. Must have been a great view

Well equipped cottage in the beautiful Ring of Kerry

The cottage is pleasant, in a narrow road on a hill with a spectacular view on the bay. It is a nice place to stay and explore the region. Some minor problems: absence of curtains in the shower and WiFi not strong enough for 5.

Philippe, many thanks for doing this review and for your feedback. Sorry the WiFi wasn't strong enough for 5. This is the first time we've had a review mentioning problems with Wifi, but it's as well to know that 5 people all using it at the same time will experience difficulty. However, it is generally sufficient for guests. The two shower rooms are "wet" rooms, designed to accommodate wheelchair users. Glad to see that you enjoyed your time in Kerry. Best wishes, Monica

Delightful, homey, fab location

We absolutely loved our stay here. It's used (I presume) as a holiday home by the owner, so there's everything you could possibly need in the kitchen (even some basic consumables left by previous guests/ the owner) and everything feels so comfortable and homely. The view is really lovely (even though the garden across the road has obscured a bit of the view) and it's so quiet and private, yet so brilliantly situated close to the Ring of Kerry and not far from Kenmare. Highly recommend!

We were given great directions to the cottage and picking up the key was very easy. The cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a beautiful setting. Margaret was readily available to answer any questions we had. The location was close enough to Kenmare to make it a short drive for groceries, restaurants and pubs, entertainment and shopping. Even more, the location was great for exploring the Ring of Kerry, Killarney and the beautiful interior of the Iveragh Peninsula. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others who want to explore this area of Ireland.

Well looked-after property in great location

Everything you need is in this tastefully decorated house and the views are lovely through all rooms at the front. We felt very much at home here during our holiday. Monica has been quick to respond by email and has Margaret only a short car ride away to look after the day-to-day business. The house is in a great location to enjoy the ring of Kerry and Beara, lovely Kenmare town and the busy Kilearney park. We happily recommend this property!

Very pleasant house

This house is very comfortable, well located - about 8 kilometers from Kenmare - and has everything one needs in terms of equipment. We appreciated the basic necessities like washing powder, toilet paper, soap or oil for cooking put at our disposal. And Margaret, the person who welcomed us is charming and very helpful. A good address!

Templenoe heights

We are just back from a week staying at Templenoe Heights. House was very clean and had everything you could ever need even buckets and spades for the kids which came in handy! Beds were very comfortable.Location was great and just a few miles from kenmare. Gardens were lovely and great for the kids to play in. Beautiful views and lots of country roads around for walking. 2km from a pebbly beach.

Great time in Kenmare

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience staying at Templenoe Heights! Our host and her agent were incredibly helpful and gracious. We travel often and were really looking for a relaxing experience. This was perfect. Close enough to town to take advantage of all the area offers yet just far enough out of town to enjoy the quiet. The home was very comfortable and had everything you’d need without having to run to the store for everything little thing. Very private but with great views!

Nice house for a time off and work

A friend of mine and myself stayed at the house for a couple of days. During this time we also worked for some hours per day with our laptops. Everything worked out well. It is a nice house to stay. The contact person who provided us the keys has been flexible for our late check-in. Everything worked out! Thanks again that we could stay there.

Remote, beautiful!

Lovely property with an excellent view. Well-appointed and quite clean. The separate washer/dryer were a big plus. We wanted a remote, quiet location close to Kenmare, and this one fit beautifully. The beds were quite firm (a bit too firm for us), but otherwise, it was wonderful. Highly recommend this place. Please note that all the windows lock with a key, and this was a bit disconcerting for us (Americans fear of fire), but most homes in Ireland are made of concrete, so we did not worry as much. Would definitely choose this place again.

Der Check-In-Prozess verlief hervorragend. Uns wurde viel erklärt und gezeigt. Nachdem wir etwas nicht gefunden hatte, kam die Gastgeberin sogar noch einmal vorbei.Die Wohnung war schön groß und gut ausgestattet. Es war alles sauber.Mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten am Kieselstrand.
