Wir waren im Rahmen eines Canyoningurlaubes mit VengaTours Erlebnisreisen im Domodossola Gebiet in dieser Unterkunft untergebracht.Das Haus liegt im Ortskern von Cresti, einem kleinen Bergdorf. Parken kann man fast immer problemlos direkt am Ortseingang. Betty, die sich im Auftrag der Eigentümer um das Haus kümmert und den Checkin erledigt, spricht nur wenig englisch.Der Weg vom Parkplatz zum Haus führt durch enge Gassen zu Fuß über geschätzt 20 Höhenmeter und eine Distanz von vielleicht 100 Rollkoffer-unfreundlichen Metern.Das Haus verfügt im ersten und zweiten Stock über 5 rustikale Zimmer, die exakt so aussehen, wie auf den Fotos. Alle Zimmer haben Zugang zu einem Balkon.Die beiden Bäder befinden sich im ersten bzw zweiten Stock. In einem gibt es eine Waschmaschine.Im Erdgeschoss gibt es eine kombinierte Wohnküche. Mit etwas Kuscheligkeit kann man mit 8 Personen am Tisch sitzen. Die Küchenmöbel sind auf Einfachheit getrimmt und zukünftige Besucher dürften eine Erneuerung sehr schätzen. Die Geschirr- und Geräteausstattung ist üppig.Zusätzlich gibt es einen ca. 50m2 großen, ebenen Garten mit Grill und Gartenmöbeln.Die umliegenden Häuser und Grundstücke haben definitiv eine Sanierung verdient.Durch hier und da stehendes Wasser gab es bei unserem 14 tägigen Aufenthalt leider diverse Mücken, im Küchenschrank haben wir aber Abwehrcreme gefunden.In einer zweiten Unterkunft, ein Bergdorf weiter oben, gab es dieses Problem nicht.

Die Woche Großeltern- Kinder- und Enkelferien in Cresti war wunderbar. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut für eine größere Gruppe geeignet. Es gibt viel Platz im Haus, bei schönem Wetter kommt noch der Garten dazu. Wir haben alles sehr sauber und wie beschrieben angetroffen.Die Betten sind sehr bequem, die Duschen und die Heizung funktionieren sehr gut, die Küche ist super ausgestattet.Die Kommunikation lief hervorragend.(als wir den Wunsch nach einem größeren Kochtopf hatten, wurde er direkt am nächsten Morgen vorbeigebracht) Bedenken sollte man bei der Auswahl der Unterkunft, dass das Gepäck über sehr unwegsame Wege transportiert werden muss,- das Auto parkt außerhalb der Ortschaft. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen und bedanken uns bei Sandy, Claire und Betty für die tolle Kommunikation.

Super Haus

Ruhig, schön, toller Blick, viele Balkone, schönes Dorf. Einige Treppen zum Haus. Einfach eingerichtet aber gute Duschen, gute Betten. Große Töpfe fehlen, wenig Steckdosen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Mooi compleet huis in prachtige omgeving

Het huis zelf was groot, compleet en netjes, prima voor ons gezin. De nabije buurt was we bijzonder, je moet flink wat trappen opklimmen om van de auto bij het huis te komen. En niet alle huizen rondom het huis waren in goede staat. Maar het uitzicht was prachtig en genoeg plekken in de buurt om naartoe te wandelen en te rijden. Fijne week gehad!

gite spacieux et très chaleureux

situé au centre d'un beau village montagard, la maison est très agréable, spacieuse et chaleureuse. la répartition des pièces sur 3 niveaux facilite la cohabitation. le gite dispose d'un agréable jardin extérieur mais qui manque un peu de mobilier pour acceuillir 8 personnes. nous n'avons pas rencontré Sandy mais la communication a été très aisée et tout était en place pour faciliter notre arrivée et notre départ. nous avons apprécié de trouver toutes les éléments utiles (sel, huile, café,..) lors de notre arrivée car il n'y a pas de magasin sur place. seul bémol, la literie est moyennement confortable. mais nous avons néanmoins passé un très agréable séjour et serions prêts à y retourner avec plaisir. A noter éhalement que le gite se trouve au centre d'un village montagnard: pas d'accès direct en voiture et une bonne côte en escalier à monter (~100m) pour atteindre la maison.

Tolles Ferienhaus

Ein Haus im alten Ortskern von Cresti. So richtig zum Wohlfühlen. Wir haben die Atmosphäre des alten Hauses sehr genossen. Es war alles vorhanden, was man für einen Ferienhausaufenthalt braucht. Wir hatten eine sehr angenehme Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin.

Nice house in beautiful area

A typical mountain house in a small village. It’s an old house, but there’s everything you need. Not realy luxiourous, but nice italian no nonsense style. We had a very pleasant stay!

La casa è un immobile tradizionale della zona, con i suoi pro e contro, adatto per una vacanza di montagna; il paese è piccolo e caratteristico, comodo per conoscere gli itinerari della Valle Antrona. Il proprietario è molto gentile e disponibile, all’arrivo abbiamo avuto un problema con la casa che la sig.ra Sandra ha risolto in breve fornendoci assistenza e dimostrando di essere un host adeguato.

Das Dorf schön gelegen. Bis zum Haus muss man viele Treppen steigen. Ist sehr hellhörig und die

Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach gestattet. Jedes Zimmer hat ein Bett und ein Schrak( ohne Griffen) oder eine Komode. Es gibt Nägel in die Balken als Haken für die Handtücher im Bad und Küche. Im Garten gab es Hundekot. Ansonsten fließendes Wasser und nette Nachbaren.

Schönes, geräumiges Alpenhaus im Dorf

Wir haben das Haus nur zu fünft genutzt, es hätten 8 Personen Platz zum Schlafen gefunden. Besonders gut fanden wir, dass jeder Zugang zum Balkon hatte. Es liegen zwei Schlafetagen mit je einem Badezimmer übereinander. Im Erdgeschoss liegt die Küche mit Wohnzimmer. Der Ausblick ist wirklich traumhaft schön - man sieht direkt in die Berge. Wie viele alte italienische Dörfer gibt es hier keine Straßen außer der Hauptstraße durch den Ort, die weit unterhalb des Hauses liegt. Im Ort selbst gibt es nur steile Gassen, die von Stufen unterbrochen sind. Das bedeutet: Gepäck einmal hoch und einmal runter tragen. Aber dafür ist es sehr ruhig und die Luft ist sauber! Wir haben im Haus alles gefunden, was wir brauchten und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Das Antrona-Tal ist für sich schon eine Reise wert - wild romantisch und mit unzähligen Wasserfällen. Die Wanderwege sind übrigens so gut ausgewiesen, wie man es aus anderen Regionen nicht unbedingt kennt. Uns war die eine Woche viel zu kurz!

Fantastic house in a beautiful location

Five friends and I stayed at this house for a week long relaxing break and we were not disappointed on any level. The pictures on this website do not do the house justice. It is located in a very pretty village with panoramic views of the surrounding valley with an adjacent garden which is perfect for BBQs and sunbathing. The house itself is clean, spacious, cosy, and well equipped with cooking equipment, games, and towels, and a dishwasher and washing machine. The owners were extremely helpful in making sure that our trip ran smoothly, and were always quick to respond to our queries. From the house it is just a short drive to nearby lakes; Lakes Antrona and Mergozzo are particularly worth a visit for swimming and walking. Also a short drive away is the town of Domodossola where we found multiple good quality and good value restaurants as well as some interesting cultural sites. There are also footpaths leading directly from the house leading up the valley. We had fantastic weather for the entire week with temperatures consistently around 30 degrees. I would definitely recommend this property, and hope to return for another holiday in the near future.

Highly recommended

We would recommend renting this property. My wife and I had a fantastic time staying here. The property is just as described - views from bedrooms are breath taking and beautiful. It has plenty of charm, but this did not compromise function. We were very comfortable with the well equipped kitchen and washing machine, etc. The garden adds to the charm, especially pleasant for meals. We hired a car (private transport probably a necessity), so were easily able to travel to many of the immediately local, and less local (Sempione, Milan), areas of interest. There was a good range of walks and hikes to suit various levels of vigour. We also went for trips to the lakes (Antrona, Mergozzo, Maggiore), and even a swim, too. (Swimming in alpine lakes in late September is best undertaken by getting into the water without pausing to test the temperature.) The boat trip from Stresa to the islands afforded us the chance to really lose ourselves in the natural beauty. Ice cream at 'Voglia' in historic centre of Domodossola was a (frequently repeated) must. The property was well maintained, and cleaned just before we arrived - and to a high standard.

Cresti

We stayed in this house in Cresti with 4 adults and 5 children and it felt very spacious, ideal for several parties. The view and balcony are absolutely stunning and the house is well equipped with simple, restful decor. The garden with its view over the mountains was a lovely place for grown ups and children alike. The immediate location is on a very steep hill, with short walks to surrounding villages, the charming town of Domodossola a short drive or bus ride down the valley. Lake Antrona at the head of the valley provides a swimming opportunity with dramatic scenery and there are beautiful day trips accessible by train to other lakes. A highlight of our trip was the Lake Maggiore express, including a boat trip right into Locarno in Switzerland, followed by a scenic train back through the mountains. We didn't have a car and this did narrow our options a little, although if you are willing to catch the early bus there is plenty to do. We'll be back!
