Wonderful holidays

We had wonderful 10 days with our two daughters at Lea and Dan's house. The villa is in an absolutely quiet location, but still very close to the beautiful beach of Falassarna. We enjoyed every minute and definitely want to come back. Thank you very much for everything dear Lea and dear Dan!

Among the olive groves.

Arriving at the villa among the olive groves, one feels miles from anywhere. However, the village where one can eat delicious Cretan food, get drinks & snacks with locals, is a ten minute walk along the tracks. The unspoilt town of Kissamos is a ten minute drive. Nearby are lovely beaches. This is a working agricultural area, still relatively unspoilt by tourism.

Perfect Villa near Kissamos

What a find! A Villa with a private pool in a fabulous location to visit some amazing places and the bonus of a beautiful beach that is only a 15 minute stroll away which we had to ourselves most mornings. What a fabulous start to the day swimming in the crystal clear water. Dan and Lea are wonderful hosts and on hand to help with anything, the Villa is immaculate and has everything you could possibly need. I am a keen swimmer and the Villa pool was wonderful, i took advantage of swimming anytime I could especially in the evening as the temperature was heated like a warm bath so relaxing. The gardens and olive trees that surround the villa are stunning with lovely places to eat only a short walk away. Thank you for a wonderful holiday we highly recommend your villa to all.

Séjour paradisiaque

Quelle magnifique région de la Crète ! Mais quelle belle maison également ! Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour, la maison ne manque de rien, Dan et Léa sont aux petits soins si besoin, la piscine est superbe, parmis les champs d’oliviers et les chants des cigales. Plein de restaurants sympas à proximité.

Séjour parfait à proximité de Kissamos

Séjour idéal pour rayonner dans l'ouest de la crête. La maison offre toutes les facilités pour les voyageurs exigeants. Les hôtes sont réceptifs et accueillants. A reserver sans hésiter !

Great place to enjoy Crete

Lea and Dan’s house is wonderful. Very clean and fully equipped place. Very quiet too with a wonderful pool to enjoy swimming at home when you do not want to bother to drive to one of the amazing beaches close by. Lea and Dan live nearby but are very discreet and friendly and have great tips and advice if needed. We loved our holiday at this house and would definitely recommend it for wonderful time with family or friends in one of the best area of Crete.

Pretty much perfect

We had a pretty much perfect week in Kaliviani. The villa is very well equipped, quiet, comfortable and has an excellent pool. The location feels very private. Dan and Lea are next door should you need anything and are helpful with local tips and advice, but otherwise unobstrusive - you wouldn't know they were there. Everything you could wish for in a holiday rental. Beaches... The local beach, a few minutes walk away across the fields, is very quiet but just right for a quick dip in the sea with a small cafe nearby for a cold beer. Three of Europe's top beaches are a short drive away; Elafonissi is beautiful, and although an hour away the drive over the mountains is alone worth the effort. But aim to get there early, we arrived around 9am to enjoy the place before the coaches arrive. Balos again absolutely beautiful. 30 minutes slow driving over an unmade road with great views and lots of goats. Then I guess a mile walk down a steep track (steeper on the way back) but well worth the effort. Again arrive early, aim for 9am as the ferries offload from noon. Fallasarna, our favourite. Just 15 minutes drive away and without the tourist crowds. It's a long beach with lots of beachside tavernas. Our preference being the little beach below the Blue Orange bar. Tavernas in Kaliviani... We tried three, Agarathos, Erofili and Grambousa. All were very good value (always go with the local wine) and good food - which in our experience is true for most of Crete. We thought Agarathos the best, friendly and authentic. We ate there three times. Erofili, also very good, a little way out of the village, but with lovely views and food. Grambousa was good, but a little slick and the service not as friendly. On our trip we spent a couple of nights in Chania, which we'd certainly recommend as a perfect start to a holiday in Western Crete (we stayed at the Hanim). We're certain that you would enjoy a stay here. Trev and Sarah

Excellent accommodation, pool, & surroundings

Listing was v accurate. Villa is spacious, spotlessly clean, well-equipped and a well thought-out layout. Set amongst olive groves, we had a peaceful and relaxing 2 weeks. It was a treat to have Dan and Lea next door - very friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive! Within easy reach of several restaurants, bars, small villages , unspoilt Kissamos town - food, drink, and sight-seeing +shopping catered for. Beautiful beaches nearby, fantastic scenery - and the weather was excellent. Cretan people are very friendly and most speak English, plus other languages. We would definitely recommend the Villa - for adults, and for families with children of all ages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing rural villa

The villa is set in olive groves in a quiet and rural location. The listing accurately describes the property and we enjoyed a relaxing and enjoyable week in this well presented and maintained villa. The location is ideal for getting out and about to explore the area and it's a treat to be able to go back to the villa which has a very homely feel to it with all facilities you could wish for. The owners are onsite if needed but are very unobtrusive and leave you to enjoy your stay. Highly recommended
