Hunters House in Lofer is a traditional Austrian family chalet owned by Ashley and Susan Keenes and can sleep up to 16 comfortably in its 8 bedrooms. The house is surrounded on 3 sides by open countryside. Only 5 minutes walk to the centre of the village, where you can gain access to the village cable car for winter skiing or summer walks. Located in the winter skiing and summer white water village of Lofer just 24 miles from Salzburg airport. None of the villages 15 restaurants are more than 10 minutes walk from the house. The village ski lift is just an 8 minute walk where you can ski on its 58km of pisted slopes in the winter; or catch a lift up to the beautiful mountain pastures to explore the scenic and waterfall strewn paths. The villages large landscaped outdoor pool is just a 3 minute walk from the house.

The house suited our needs perfectly-plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and the games area downstairs!With 4 different family groups it was great. The warmth was welcome as were all the Christmas decorations. The location was terrific. We all enjoyed the views and fhe proximity to the restaurants, cafes and supermarket.We enjoyed days in Salzburg, salt mines and other alpine towns. We really appreciated Gerty’s ( and her son’s) help with sleds and ski hire. Thanks Ashley for setting that up.

Excellent stay in pretty Lofer

We were a group of seven adults and two children who came to Lofer for a ski holiday. The house was perfect for us, large and spacious and within a short walk of the gondola. Everything was very clean and had a great “at home” feel.

The Best Family Vacation Ever!

Ashley - Thank you again for sharing your wonderful home. I can’t tell you how much my family enjoyed our stay. It was truly a blessing and a trip of a lifetime. The house was PERFECT with every convenience one could ask for. From the comfortable beds and linens to the fabulous kitchen with all the amenities including the awesome stein glasses and dishes a plenty. But most of all we enjoyed the spectacular views from the house and especially the quaint little town that was just steps away. We hiked the waterfalls, ate at the bakeries far too many times to count and truely enjoyed all the fun things to do around town. Many many thanks for letting us enjoy your wonderful home !

Zeer fijn huis met veel ruimte. Dicht bij het centrum, een supermarkt en de skilift (op loopafstand). Contact met de eigenaar was zeer prettig. Werd altijd snel gereageerd. Echte aanrader voor grotere groepen.

Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung Sauberkeit sehr gut Zu bemängeln wäre die Ausstattung der Küche wie schon oft erwähnt, Mini Kaffeemaschine für so viele Personen und der Herd könnte langsam ausgetauscht werden. Würden wieder das jägerheim buchen

Tolle Unterkunft

Gemütliche Unterkunft für größere Gruppen. Eine Atmosphäre in der man sich einfach wohl fühlt. Vor allem der Partykeller bietet auch bei schlechtem Wetter vielfältige Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten. Einzig die vorhandene Kaffeemaschine ist für mehr als zwei Personen zu klein.

Cooler Urlaub

Wir waren mit Kids und Freunden im Jägerhaus. War alles toll, gut eingerichtet, geräumig, nicht hellhörig, jedoch an der Durchfahrtstrasse von Lofer. Kontakt war super nett, Ort sehr süß, Mitten im Skigebiet, nahe an verschiedenen Attraktionen.

Schöne Unterkunft in super Lage

Schöne Unterkunft mit ausreichend Platz. Wir waren 15 Personen und waren mit allem gut ausgestattet und überall war ausreichend Platz. Der Keller war besonders was für die Herren und die Jugendlichen. Das Highlight war für uns die Terasse und der uuuuunglaublich schöne Ausblick. Obwohl das Haus direkt an der Straße liegt,hat man die Autos kaum gehört.

Großfamilien-Ausflug nach Lofer

Wir hatten mit der großen Großfamilie eine tolle Zeit in Lofer! Viele Zimmer, zahlreiche Bäder, große Küche und ein riesen Tisch für alle. Tolle Aussicht auf die Berge, sonnenbeschienene Terrasse, reichlich Platz. Vielen Dank - wir haben es sehr genossen!!!

Super Haus für 3 Familien

Wir drei Familien hatten eine entspannte Zeit im Jägerhaus. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, es war kein Problem für 12 Leute zu kochen. Die Zimmer sind so angeordnet, dass jeder auch mal eine ruhige Ecke für sich findet. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Die Kommunikation mit Ashley war sehr freundlich und problemlos. Im Haus gab es sehr viele Informationen und Tipps für Unternehmungen. Ein kleines Minus müssen wir geben, weil das Haus direkt an einer sehr befahrenen Straße liegt und besonders bei Regen in ein paar Zimmern der Lärmpegel doch recht hoch ist. Ausserdem hatte das Freibad, dass mit "Pool" gemeint ist, nicht jeden Tag geöffnet (angeblich wetterbedingt).

Mooi groot huis. Waren er met 16 personen. Pluspunt is zeker dat er 6 badkamers waren. Ook de opgemaakte bedden en handdoeken vonden we een luxe. We hadden een prachtig uitzicht. Voldoende activiteiten in de buurt. Even de weg oversteken en je was bij de winkeltjes,restaurants en een prachtig mooi zwembad. Contact met de eigenaar was ook goed. Reageerde direct als je een vraag had. Alleen de WiFi was wat minder. Alleen in de tv kamer werkte die echt prima. Zou dit huis zo weer boeken.

Super Unterkunft für große Gruppen

Unser Vermieter Ashley hat sich im Vorfeld sehr gut um alles gekümmert und uns auch noch einige Tipps gegeben. Er hat Fragen sofort und sehr zufriedenstellend beantwortet.

Tolles Haus in toller Umgebung

Das Haus ist groß und bietet viel Platz. Der Spielbereich im Keller ist toll. Die Umgebung bietet viel Ausflugmöglichkeiten und vorallem das Freibad in direkter Nähe ist fantastisch. Netter Kontakt und unkomplizierte Organisation.

Wunderschönen Urlaub / Haus

Wir haben mit unserer Familie von 13 Personen im Alter von 7 bis 73 Jahre unseren Urlaub zum ersten Mahl im tollen Jägerheim verbracht. Besonders gefallen hat uns die viele Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer. Jeder hatte sein Privacy. Im Haus ist alles bestens eingerichtet für große Gruppen. Zum Spielen für die Kinder gibt es genügend Optionen wie Billiard, Airhockey, Darts und Kicker. Lofer und Umgebung ist einfach wunderschön. Obwohl wir Aktiv waren im Urlaub, gibt es noch genügend zu tun in der Umgebung um nochmal zurück zu kommen. Wir möchten auch die super Kommunikation mit den Eugentümmern erwähnen. Obwohl es wegen Covid-19 viele Fragen und Unsicherheiten gab, hat Ashley immer bestens mit uns kommuniziert und auch eventuelle Alternativen angeboten. Zum Glück war dies alles nicht notwendig und haben wir eine tolle Zeit im Haus verbringen können. Wir verbringen unseren Urlaub mit der ganzen Familie schon mehr als 15 jahre zusammen, dieses Haus gehört zu unseren Favoriten. Fam. Janssen

Wygodny dom

Bardzo wygodny dom dla dużej grupy, dobre miejsce dla lubiących góry. W miasteczku jest dostępny basen, do którego można dotrzeć na piechotę w kilka minut. Blisko domu znajduje się kilka wypożyczalni rowerów oraz kolejka górska.

Multi Generational family gathering, wonderful space!!

We where visiting from the US with our grown children and six young grandchildren to celebrate my Moms 80. Birthday.My Austrian, extended family join us for a barbecue, the grill and the back yard were perfect for hosting a large group of people! The view of the Mountains in the yard is absolutely breathtaking, we enjoyed it every day!The house gave us so much room, so we never felt to crammed and the basement was enjoyed by all. There is an INTERSPORT in town, where we rented E-bikes with kids wagons, seats, had a great time exploring the area on the bikes! One highlight was to visit the Seisenbach Klamm in Weissbach, on the way home we stopped near there, by the river at a Natural River park that was wonderful. Our oldest daughter and friend took a wild water river trip just near by and had a blast! The first Saturday that we are there, we took the gondola up to the Alm with our small grandchildren and enjoyed the wonderful playground that is right at the exit of the gondola. A few trips into Salzburg was easy driving and the airport was not to far.We loved going to get fresh bread every morning at the local bakery and able to just walk to town grocery shopping, to the pool, playground and so many nice hikes. One of our grand kids highlights was visiting the chickens at the neighbors yard not far from the house. Great chocolate factory just next door, any place we ever ate in town was good. It was realy nice to have the extra fridge downstairs for the large amount of people we had. We would highly recommend the house, the area is beautiful!

gorgeous house in a wonderful location

The house was everything we dreamed of. Lofer is a beautiful village and very family friendly. Children upto 15 years have free ski passes if accompanied by their parents. We highly recommend the house and village. We will be back!

Lovely Alpine holiday home

Lovely location with mountains all around giving wonderful views. The property is spacious, clean and well kitted-out, with comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms and games rooms for everyone. We had a great family holiday - the pool and playground are delightful and close, as is the cable car. The village is attractive, spotless and quiet, though we were lucky to catch some evening festivities (helpful tourist info office opposite the cable car gives a sheet of local events). We liked the Cafe Dankl for food and friendly service. Would recommend the Salt Mines at Hallstatt and thermal baths at Berchtesgaden for wet days (both approx 45 mins drive) and Hellbrunn Wasserschloss for fun when it is sunny. The Lofer cable car ride leads to lovely opportunities for all generations to enjoy the mountain restaurants or go for spectacular walks on the Alm. Great place!
