Crinan Canal Cottage No. 8 is a charming mid-terrace cottage set alongside the Crinan Canal, five miles from Kilmartin in Scotland. The cottage can sleep four people in two bedrooms which are a double and a twin as well as a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with woodburning stove. To the outside is off road parking for one car as well as an enclosed area with furniture, which then leads to a large grassy area. Crinan Canal Cottage No. 8 offers friends and families a lovely base from which to explore and discover the fascinating history of this beautiful area of Scotland.

Town: The village of Kilmartin sits at the heart of Kilmartin Glen, one of the most important prehistoric sites on the Scottish mainland. In the area there are rock carvings, standing stones, burial cairns and the remains of the Iron-Age fort at Dunadd, the home of the first kings of Scotland. Kilmartin is home to a church, Post Office, shop, pub, a castle and the Kilmartin House Museum with visitor centre next door, housing a café and a shop selling local crafts. The town of Lochgilphead is eight miles away, offering a good selection of cafes and small shops selling a range of goods, foods and crafts.
