A peaceful and picturesque villa, right on the sea minutes from Corfu town. The villa has a private ladder down to the beach, with a jetty and x 2 Double Kayaks and two single Kayaks,plus two paddle boards plus snorkel equipment We also have 2 fishing rods and tackle for the guests to use. You can hire a speed boat by arrangement.The Villa has plenty of outdoor entertaining space with large staggered patios, and shaded dining areas. There is also a Jacuzzi, with sea views. Villa Waves is in an ideal location, halfway between the north and the south of the island, with Corfu town only 6km away. There are a handful of secluded beaches and local villages within easy distance. The closest being Benitses a traditional Greek village boasting a marina, as well as numerous bars, tavernas. Villa Waves now boasts a 80 m2 Roof terrace with Fantastic Sea Views !!! see last season pictures by following us on Instagram.

We loved our week stay at Villa Waves. Hugh and Daniela have created a wonderful place to call home. It has many wonderful terraces looking right out over the Ionian Sea. We used the kayaks to go shopping and to go to Mouse Island Nice, little beach to enjoy. They are hospitable and communicative hosts. Very comfortable living

Villa life

Beautiful property well set up and decked out with what you need to enjoy yourselves. Very friendly gracious hosts! Stunning sunrises and views! We were three couples and found it a great space to cook and enjoy dinner on the decks. Very tastefully decorated!Thanks Hugh & Daniela

An amazing house for a perfect vacation!

The house is perfect for a family vacation. It contains everything needed for a great vacation and we didn’t want to leave! Hugh and Daniela are great hosts and enabled us to feel at home for the first minute. The location is also very good, quite close to Corfu town and to great restaurants and tavernas. We will absolutely come back!

Wonderful stay at Villa Waves

We had a wonderful week at Villa Waves ! The hosts are very helpful and accomodating. The villa is exactly as described and is beautifully decorated with fantastic outdoor areas to eat , relax and enjoy the views. Having kyaks and paddleboards available to use is just brilliant as the coast is perfect for exploring in this way and the snorkelling is great literally a few feet from the villa. Benitsies has a great selection of traditional tavernas , a supermarket and bakery etc which is 10 minutues by car or bus. The bus to Corfu town is just putside the villa and takes 25 mins which is perfect for a day trip or evening out. We would recommend this villa for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday enjoying the ocean and all that Corfu has to offer !

Beautiful Villa

Fantastic well equipped Villa with the most beautiful sunrise views. Loved the paddle boards, kayaks and access to the sea - a fantastic week spent here. We also hired the boat for the day which was an absolute highlight of our holiday. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Just stunning location / villa

A GREAT HOLIDAY VILLA

A wonderfully located, well furnished and well equipped property. On the road from Corfu Town to Benitses, so service by bus made a hire car unnecessary. The owners agent Craig was more than useful when needed. One of the best views from a villa that we can remember.

Amazing views!

Villa waves is perfect! The views are absolutely stunning, you won’t believe how good! There is loads to do in Corfu, beaches are gorgeous, food is lovely & people are friendly. Villa waves is a great base to explore all the island. The owners Hugh & Daniela are so helpful & friendly & will help with anything if you need it. Fabulous Villa right on the sea front

The villa was decorated to a very high standard with everything we could wish for, including: paddle boards, kayaks, fishing rods, a boat and a guitar. Our experience was rich and varied from BBQ to hot tub. There was something for everyone. We will definitely be back. Hugh and Daniela were very attentive.

Fabulous location right on the water

We had an amazing week in October, the weather was wonderful so we where able to swim every day. It was great to have the paddle boards and the SUP’s. Loved the outdoor areas, there where so many that we could all use an area without being on top of each other. Hot tub was an added bonus and the children loved it. Special mention for Craig who was so helpful and kept us up to date with many things.

This villa was everything we expected and more.We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset, our highlight being lucky enough to watch a pod of dolphins one morning.My sons aged 3 and 6 enjoyed exploring the wildlife both in the gardens of the villa and within the sea, this kept them very entertained.The villa has access to paddle boards, kayaks, fish rods and life jackets. The villa kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. We used the bbq most days and enjoyed eating dinner with a view. The following things are not negative but things that our worth knowing if your planning a trip here.The road outside the villa has no path and is dangerous. We had planned to use the buses but ended up hiring a car which worked better for us with the children.There are many steps around the villa and to get down to the sea the steps are very steep, for younger children this may have been an issue, but we carefully navigated this with our children and it wasn’t a problem.The hosts were very helpful, they sent over restaurant recommendations and a boat trip for our children.Do not hesitate to book, a villa we shall never forget.

Stunning Villa - Just go!

Villa Waves was spectacular. I’m so glad we booked this place for us and our two teenagers - it has it all! Perfectly located on the water we had such fun with the paddle-boards, kayaks & snorkels. Endless entertainment everyday as well as enjoying the hot tub in the evening time. We didn’t have a car so we used the bus to get around to nearby town’s & restaurants. Daniela & Hugh were super hosts while also providing us with a fab welcome pack of fruit, beers, prosecco and any assistance we needed. The Villa has everything you need for an amazing holiday. There are so many different areas to hang out, play music etc.. everyone really enjoyed it. All back home now and dreaming of another trip sometime to Corfu and Villa Waves! Thanks for a holiday to remember.

Excellent location with a fantastic view

Visited at the end of Aug 2016 and it was amazing. The villa is maintained to a very high standard and the communication with Hugh throughout the process was very good. The Villa is easy to find and the directions given from the airport excellent. The highlight has got to be the location and the Kayaks, which were used very day. The sunrise every morning was just spellbinding and there are plenty of outdoor areas to spread your self and your family around, if you want that moment of peace. The only negative is the parking outside the grotty derelict hotel and the 'take your life in your hands' walk down the road. Greek drivers are maniacs!! I didn't want to leave, and was thinking of hiding out in the downstairs 'apartment' for the rest of the year, but sadly I couldn't!

Birthday celebrations with the family

My family ages range from 26 - 60 and we all equally enjoyed the appropriately named Villa Waves! From the stunning views/pebble beach at our feet/twinkly lit hot tub, jetty/kayaks/snorkel gear/body boards/and beautiful roof top terrace (with my favourite hammock ) we were all satisfied. It is semi detached but the lovely neighbour was very friendly. There are quite a few steep steps around the property so it would be something to consider for anyone with mobility issues. We hired a minibus from a friendly efficient company recommended by Hugh which was worth doing to explore the Island, also the motor boat for the day which was great fun. As mentioned in other reviews there is quite a bit of traffic noise from the busy dangerous road above the villa, but it didn't spoil our experience or put us off from returning, and we really enjoyed the plane spotting! We made good use of the barbeque too and the kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were all very comfortable and clean and the aircon was great! We didnt use the TV but there is an excellent selection of DVDs to suit all. There are plenty of supermarkets within 5/10 minute drive away, and Benitses 10 minutes and Corfu town 20 minutes. Only suggestion for improvement would be sunlounger pads for roof terrace and a bit extra screening from the road, but we have made some really special memories at Villa Waves !!🇬🇷❤😎🥂

12 days in paradise

My wife and I talked about visiting Corfu from our very first phone call together before we even met face to face. It took us 22 years to finally get there. After careful consideration, we chose Villa Waves to base ourselves for our dream vacation. It was a very good choice. First the property is well described in the listing. It was very well taken care of and equipped with everything we needed during our stay. We were able to cook at the Villa when we wanted using a gas grill and the very well equipped kitchen and when we wanted, were a very short distance to many great places to eat. We decided to rent a car and explore the entire island. We were never much more than an hour drive from even the furthest places, and most were much less than that. In addition, we used the public bus system to go into Corfu town to avoid the need for parking. The bus system is really good and goes almost anywhere you would want to go. It was truly amazing to go swimming right out of the back door and we really enjoyed the Kayaks. Sunrises from the back terrace were awesome as we enjoyed the Nespresso coffee. Hugh and Daniela are truly awesome hosts. They made sure the Villa was well taken care of, checking in on things a few times during our visit. They also were always very quick to answer any questions we had. They even arranged for a great deal on our rental car. We loved every aspect of our stay and do not hesitate to highly recommend it!

The sea view is great but the house did not meet our expectations.

We were two couples and each one preferred to have its own bathroom. The other couple choose to sleep on the lower floor rather than sharing the small bathroom on the main floor with us. But these rooms can only be accessed via the outside stairs. Sleeping there they were locked out unless we kept the terrace door open at night, which we did. But it does not feel safe, especially since the doors could not be closed from the outside. Furthermore the bedrooms rooms on the lower floor could not be locked at all. Sleeping in a house literally on the beach where anyone could enter the property having the doors unlock-able just did not feel safe. Having some rainy days we desperately missed an inside dining table. The only table is outside. When eating inside we had to crouch around the low coffee table in the living room. 
We felt cold and the air condition in one bedroom was not working. For more comfort it would have been nice to have some hooks in the bathrooms and more cloth hangers in the bedrooms. The view from the balcony is beautiful. But the street is loud and on the same level as the roof terrace. Other than some people wrote, you are really exposed on the roof terrace. We enjoyed the hot tub, as well as the kayaking and the paddle board. The jetty was not installed yet and securing the kayak was troublesome. However the owners found a quick solution for some problems with the coffee machine and the dish washer. The communication was good and friendly.

Honeymoon Bliss

"Wow!" That was the first words my wife and I said when we finally set foot inside the Villa Waves. From the moment we saw it on Owners Direct, throughout the booking process (which was handled very professionally by Hugh and Olivia), to the moment we saw the villa from the plane as we landed in Corfu, we were in love with the place. However, nothing could prepare us for how fabulous the place is in person. The finish throughout the villa was superb and the facilities/amenities catered for everyone. We were just two people enjoying a honeymoon but there is plenty of space should we decide to bring our 4 children along in the future. The roof terrace was great for sunbathing and taking in the view across to Albania/Mainland Greece. However it was overlooked slightly by the busy road and could benefit from a bit more privacy either with taller trees and bushes or a screen. That said, the rest of the villa felt secluded and private which was lovely for us after our wedding. The location of the villa was perfect for us and allowed us to get around the island with ease with our hire car (which Hugh offered to help organise). Just a short drive from the airport, the villa is within easy reach of Corfu Town and the supermarket (Lidl) which was very convenient for us. Beyond Corfu Town there are several resorts boasting some fabulous beaches. The drive alone is worth it for the many picture-postcard views. However we enjoyed our "private" beach back at the villa. Ok, so the beach wasn't exclusive but the amount of others that used it gave it a very intimate feel. Of all the facilities available at the villa, I think we most enjoyed the binoculars which allowed us to sit on the balcony and view all the expensive looking yachts that sailed past the villa. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone. Couples will enjoy it because of its privacy and seclusion. Families will enjoy it due to the facilities, space and the proximity to the beach. My wife and I would go back in a heartbeat.

5* high specification property with million dollar views!

Dear Hugh & Daniela, Thank you so much for allowing me to stay at the property to test drive the villa for my families next summer's holiday to Corfu in May 2021 - we want to book it for a whole month please...I did not want to leave! The proper is finished to a very high standard that you just can't find elsewhere on the island it truly is the ultimate Mediterranean oasis with lots of attention to detail, high specification furniture, well-manicured gardens, an abundance of outdoor space, and designed with tranquillity and privacy at the same time. Occupying a spectacular, rare and 'true' waterfront position with unparalleled 180-degree view of the Ionian Sea and neighbouring Albania coastline views. The crystal-clear waters of the deep blue Ionian Sea are right on your doorstep and it’s shallow and calm so perfect for children, paddle boards and kayaks. Set over 4 levels there is so much space! The indoors and outdoors blend seamlessly with a stunning well-kept Mediterranean garden and of course the hot tub! Just magic to enjoy this in the evenings as the weather cools down and the sun begins to set. Hugh & Daniela were incredibly helpful, friendly and offered a multitude of options and special services if you require them (massages / in house chef / car & boat hire etc. – like a true concierge service). I really can't wait to bring the whole family next year. For someone who is incredibly spoilt when it comes to travel and a frequent user of all the private rental sites this is by far the best beach property I have ever stayed at. Comfortable sea front villa

Comfortable villa with a well tended garden right on the waters edge. We loved having an early morning dip, and had fun using the paddle boards and kayaks. We also hired a boat for 2 days. It is a short drive to Benitses and atmospheric Corfu Town both having plenty of places to eat, sadly the villa is right on the busy coastal road which is dangerous to walk along, however you can not hear the traffic inside and the six of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Villa waves

We had a fantastic week at Villa waves! The view is amazing. Just a walk down the steps and your in the sea. The kids really enjoyed learning to paddle board and using the kayaks! The beach wasn’t that busy even in August! The air con was much needed and kept us cool off n 37+ temperatures. The roof terrace is a cool place to relax at night and the jacuzzi is refreshing relief from the heat! The road is very busy but we got used to the noise and managed to walk the kids to the local taverna without any issues. The downstairs rooms are perfect for teenagers, giving them and us our own space. The twin room is ideal for younger kids. Unfortunately the boat wasn’t available due to issues with the engine but Ivor managed to negotiate a good price from the local rental place, however there are restrictions on where you can take a rental boat. Great holiday, thank you for letting us stay at Villa Waves!

Direkter Zugang zum Meer

Wir verbrachten zu 5. eine Woche in der Unterkunft von Hugh und Daniela. Der direkte Zugang zum Meer und die Ausstattung dafür (Stand up paddles, Kajak, etc) war unbezahlbar. Die Aussendusche und den Whirlpool haben wir ebenfalls sehr geschätzt. Aus unserer Sicht ist es zwingend notwendig, während dem gesamten Aufenthalt ein Auto zu haben. Restaurants und Lebensmittelläden sind zu Fuss kaum zu erreichen, unter anderem weil es keinen Fussweg entlang der viel befahrenen Strasse gibt. Man merkt, dass die Ausstattung im Haus bereits ziemlich abgewohnt ist und die Unterkunft könnte eine Grundreinigung vertragen. Leider hat man als Gast keinen Zugang zu Putzzeug und auch in der Küche sind weder Schwamm noch Lappen vorhanden. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der Villa Waves dennoch sehr genossen. Die Umgebung vom Haus ist wunderschön gestaltet und man hat viele Möglichkeiten, sich zu entspannen.

Lovely villa right on the waterfront with wonderful views

This is a lovely villa situated on the waterfront with beautiful views across the sea. As mentioned in previous reviews the road outside is extremely dangerous and at night even worse. We are a family with teenagers so I felt ok but I would not like to have experienced this with young children. We enjoyed the kayaks every day it was a shame that the single kayak was no longer available as it meant we could not go out together. The paddle boat is also no longer available. The children spent many hours snorkelling in the beautiful clear waters. The air conditioning was a welcome relief as it was very hot. The beach was fairly busy every day with people coming and going but we rather enjoyed the people watching. I’m not sure if the jetty shown in the photos is private but people used it constantly so we struggled to be able to use it on some days. The electric ladders are a novel way of getting down to the beach but again I would be worried about these if I had young children, and the wire hanging down to raise and lower them is very sharp so be careful. We were unable to eat outside in the evenings due to being plagued by wasps so we think there is a nest nearby. However the local tavernas were cheap and served an excellent variety of food catering well for all of our tastes. We enjoyed using the hot tub which kept us cool in the heat of the day. There was a problem with it whilst we were staying but it was quickly sorted by Hugh. Overall we had a lovely holiday and thoroughly enjoyed waking up to a wonderful sunrise every morning. You would be hard pushed to find these views in many places.

I was looking to buy land and build in Corfu when I stumbled onto a picture of the villa . I asked the agent to send me a photo from the front of the property to which she replied we will need to hire a boat to do that, I was hooked and booked a flight.
when I saw waves she was very run down but the challange to make it into a beautiful holiday villa was to much to resist.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

From the first moment I stood on the terrace and looked down at the beech and out to sea ,( the mainland to the left the mountains to the right ) I knew this property had a lot to give with its secluded beach and breath taking views.
