Idyllic stone and wood villa with stunning, panoramic views of the Aegean Sea

It was a pleasure to host this group for the third time. They enjoy our place in the fullest. Easy going, friendly and communicative. Until next time

Thank you, Kelley. Was a pleasure to host you and thank you for being communicative of your needs. We are glad we could help so you could enjoy the stay. There are 3 bathrooms in the house but no en-suite ones, true, that was not that common back then, when it was designed as a family house in 70s by an awarded architectural couple. But as you say, this does not prevent people from enjoying the house, the balcony, the pool and the large open communal spaces. Glad to have you back, like many of our guests do, anytime.

Thank you for your nice comments. It was a pleasure to have you as guests. Right from the start you made your special requests and questions easy to address. All of your group paid attention to the house rules on the first day and kept to them during the stay. The group was very tidy, clean (despite the increased number of teenagers!) and very well behaved. Hope to host you in the future.

Dear Peter, Thank you very much for such a lovely and detailed review. The wider area has many nice spots to visit and Sounio is one of them. But we are most happy you enjoyed your stay at the house and will be happy to host you again in the future. Best regards, Villa Daskaleio

We are very happy that you enjoyed your visit and your stay at the villa, and it was a sincere pleasure for us to host you and your group. There is a rocky-sea beneath the villa with a couple of paths which lead to water easily, so everyone can enjoy the clear waters and the snorkelling opportunities. The small sand-pebble beaches close to the house follow the typical Mediterranean undulating coastline, a characteristic of east Attica. Apart from the views it offers, this also has its benefits as it contributes to the fact that in the summer they do not get that crowded, as more popular beaches. However, as you mention, if you are willing to take the car, you will find some excellent sandy beaches along the coast. Some of these beaches have been voted the best beaches in Attica (Sounio, Legrena etc). It was a pleasure having you, and I hope to hear from you again soon!

Dear Guest, Thank you for the nice and detailed review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. The house location allows being year-round away from it all, while still being close to Athens to enjoy what it offers. Regarding the pets. Thank you for pointing this out. Although, the presence of our dog (always fenced), well behaved cats, and turtles (also fenced) are mentioned in the information guide and contract we send to guests, somehow they did not show up in the property description since the last website upgrade. We have corrected this and will point it out to future guests. Looking forward to receiving in the future. Best regards

Dear Lisa, Thank you for the very personal review. We are happy you had a pleasant stay at the house. October is a very nice month to travel to Greece as the weather is still nice (with the exception of the occasional rain of course) and the sea is still warm. As you mention a car is necessary for people that want to move around and go sightseeing although we have had guests that they have not moved from the house for a week (maybe to go shopping once or twice). It is true that our mum loves basil (the "king" of herbs literally) and we love the pesto she makes for all of us. I hope you enjoyed it too. Hope to see you again in the future. Warm regards, Villa Daskaleio

Dear Eva (and family), Thank you so much for this wonderful review. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay at our house and left Villa Daskaleio with such happy memories. You are more than welcome to come back any time. You were yourselves excellent guests. All the best from us, Villa Daskaleio

Dear Guest, It was our pleasure to have you at our house. We are very proud of it and always try to do our best to make guests feel at home. The view is a treat on its own, especially with a full moon. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. Looking forward to receiving you again in the future. Best regards, Villa Daskaleio

Dear Gen, Thank you so much for your wonderful and exhaustive review! It really means a lot to us to receive such feedback. It is rewarding to see that our efforts and love for our house result in you enjoying your holidays and all that the house has to offer. Looking forward to receiving you in the near future! Our best regards, Villa Daskaleio

Dear Paul, Thank for taking the time to write this nice review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of what the house has to offer: a large terrace, a spectacular view, the gardens and of course the pool and sea right below the house. Our guidebook summarises 40 years of experience living in the area (many taverna owners have changed over the years but we are still there!). Guests, though, often contribute to our guide something new and exciting they discovered in the area. Preserves are our mother's speciality and she makes them with lot's of love. A typical greek tradition is indeed to offer sweets to invited or unexpected guests. So we also like to offer a "sweet memory" of Daskaleio to our guests. Looking forward to receiving you again in the future. Villa Daskaleio

Dear Shimon, thank ever so much for your wonderful and detailed review! It was a real pleasure to have you over as guests in our house. Thank you for taking the best care of it. We are so glad that you had a good time, and we all look forward to hearing from you again soon! Best regards, Sokratis

Dear Luc, Thank you for your very nice review. It was a pleasure having your family and friends for your special annual get together. We are really happy that you had a positive experience and really enjoyed the house, the terrace and the pool. You also had the pleasure to get the August full moon dates, seeing it rising from the sea while sitting on the terrace. Despite being full season in August, the area is more quiet compared to other areas in Attica so you could still get the sea for yourselves. You have greetings from Litsa and Spyros, our local tavernas, and of course all our family! Until next time, our best regards to you all. Villa Daskaleio

Dear GS, Thank you for your warm review. We are delighted you enjoyed the house and the blue sea below the house. September is a great month as the weather is nice, the sea is still warm and the area is even more quiet. You have near exclusivity of the beach! This is our house which we are very proud of and we do our best so that our guests feel at home (and this of course includes herbs and fruit grown on the property and home made jams!). Looking forward to meeting you again. Our warmest regards, Villa Daskaleio
