This newly refurbished cottage has stunning views over Loughrigg, towards Coniston Old Man. enter into the warm lounge, it has a south west aspect. The bay window has a spectacular view, there are fabulous views from every window, It is 5 minutes walk from Ambleside centre.. no need to take the car, there is a newly dedicated parking space for 1 car. Sit & watch the sun go down outside or walk down to one of the many restaurants, cafes, bars & cinemas located nearby. There is a well equipped galley style kitchen with dishwasher, coffee machine etc, 3 bedrooms, a modern bath with shower & WC, central heating operated by a Hive thermostat & living fire. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy, walking, cycling, sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding to name but a few, the perfect base for a wonderful Lake District holiday.

There is free superfast broadband, towels and bed linen are all included.

3 night stays are available in winter months only on request.

Lovely character terraced cottage in great location with amazing views - walkable to village centre 2nd stay in 2 years Accommodation would benefit from some updating/modernisation but overall good value and really useful to have an off-road car parking space

The cottage was comfortable, had a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside, and the town center was easily accessible on foot. The host was very helpful and easy to contact.

We had such a lovely stay with our young family at this charming cottage. The view was wonderful and the property was clean, comfortable and in a very convenient location, just a short walk into the town, the bus stops and the water front. The kitchen is well stocked and there are lots of books and games in the living room. The host was always quick and helpful in responding to our messages. Already looking forward to staying again!

There is no washing machine for clothes. There was a cat smell issue and three of us are allergic, so it would have been helpful to know that when choosing. The location is very convenient and it is priced appropriately for what you get. The stairs are quite awkward. Overall, we wish we had paid more for something a bit nicer. The couches were pretty uncomfortable, so after a long day exploring it was hard to relax.but there are great views.

As soon as the guests arrived after complaining they’d not received access information from Vrbo.. which they later found on their phone, they immediately asked where the washing machine was as they had a load that needed washing..they said it stated on the details there was one but there has never been details of a washing machine, although we have a laundry waiting to be completed so I gave them the directions to the laundry which is 5 mins away. They then said the hinges on the windows were broken so I said I would visit the cottage the next day as I have no knowledge of that & take H&S very seriously, the next morning I drove 1.5hrs to Ambleside, as I was almost there I got a message to say there was nothing wrong with the hinges & must have just been the way they open!! At no time has there been a cat or any other animal in the cottage as I have a strict no animal policy! Finally they mention the settees being uncomfortable.. they are 2 yrs old and I have never had complaints before, only compliments on how comfortable the cottage is! So it saddens me to receive such a negative review!

Linda’s cottage is lovely and in a central location really close to the town and with lovely views. Having a car parking space was brilliant. The cottage itself had very thing we needed and Linda responded to messages really quickly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely stay

The accommodation was just as described and comfortably big enough for the 4 of us. Was great to be able to walk from the house onto the fells, to the lake and to the town. Lovely views as well.

Great Cottage

Perfect spot for our stay in Ambleside. The view is amazing and it's a short walk to town. Will definitely look at staying here again when we return to the lakes.

Cottage with a view

The lovely view from the lounge/diner makes the property, which was very well equipped and very well located in relation to the village centre and its many restaurants and shops. Our stay was enhanced by some really exceptional weather.

No problems with parking and allocated space outside of property. Wi-fi reliable although we were mostly out and about.Property clean throughout. Best feature was the location for us. Just a 5 min stroll into town for pubs, shops and cafes and also benefits from great walks being available from doorstep.

Great base for the Southern Lakes

Such a comfortable place to stay, within walking distance of the many pubs and restaurants in Ambleside. And on the doorstep of so many great walks. Fantastic views and heaps of games and DVDs in case of a rainy day!

Blue Hill Cottage

We loved everything about our stay in Ambleside Blue Hill Cottage. Close to local stores and very easy access to lots of hiking trails. We would love to go back in the future.

Lovely property in great location

We had a fantastic stay in Ambleside, largely due to the location of this property. A 5 minute walk from the centre of town and lots of restaurants and pubs but far enough away from the centre to be private. Amazing views. A little difficult to find in the first place but once we located it, all was good! Thank you!

Lots of family & friends have been able to enjoy holidays here, we've spent many hours around the dinner table sharing special times and all eagerly await a return invitation.
