~~Year Round Lake Cabin w/ HOT TUB - On The Whitefish Chain!~~

Built in 1986, this lake home offers a year-round 8 person Hot Tub, all new kitchen appliances, floor to ceiling knotty pine, a large wrap around deck, a rainbow play set, a large grill, a Blackstone (my favorite), and a wonderful fire pit. We also have Kayaks and a Peddle Boat for use, and a large water trampoline for the kids to burn off some energy!

The yard is large and flat, making for a great space for lawn games. The property is nestled on 100' of lake shore with a wonderful sand beach, crystal clear water, and excellent swimming; perfect for the kids and adults, alike! Bring your boat or rent one, we've got a place for you to tie-up on our spacious dock!

This lake home comfortably sleeps 13-14 adults! There are 3 enclosed bedrooms, a large loft bedroom, and a futon in the walk-out level living area. We also have 2 pack-n-plays for young children.

There are two bathrooms, one on the main level (Sink, Toilet, Shower) and one on the lower level (Sink, Toilet, Shower, Tub). There is also a washer and dryer on site!

The kitchen comes stocked with all the eating and cooking utensils, including a toaster, popcorn maker, 2 coffee makers (Mr. Coffee & Keurig), a Crock Pot, and an ice maker in the fridge. We also have very good water (filtered and softened), so no need to lug up gallons of bottled water.

Both main level and lower level living rooms have flat screen TVs with Blu-Ray players and internet TV (Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and more). The main level has a stereo.

In addition, the cabin sports central air, however, the structure breaths very nicely in the summer and stays very comfortable.

One other benefit is our location. We are located a very short walking distance to Manhattan Beach Lodge, WCCO 2017 Viewers' Choice for "Best Dockside Bar in Minnesota". There you'll find great dining, bars, and live music! We are also only a 5 minute drive from many other restaurants, bars, shopping, golfing, camping, and the grocery store.

Overall, this was a great property. There was plenty of room for people to spread out with the 3 bedrooms, the bunk room/loft, and the lower level. The bathroom in the lower level had been completely redone and it was nice and spacious. We appreciated the fast responses from the owner who provided additional tips and accommodation during our stay.

Cozy, close to lake access in every direction. Kids loved the bunk beds and toy room, hot tub was enjoyed, perfect for our 3 generation staycation.

Beautiful

We had a great family vacation! The house was clean, comfortable beds/bedrooms, and lots of space. Outside there is a quiet bay and really big dock. The kids had fun fishing off the dock. Blackstone was nice to use. There were lots of steps but lift was nice, plenty of parking for trucks and boat trailers.

Family trip

We loved the dock, outdoor space/deck and the that the cabin accommodated our family. Also loved using the blackstone so we didn’t need to lug ours with. We enjoyed our stay and made lots of memories.

Thanksgiving Bliss

We booked Dan’s cabin for a yearly Friendsgiving and we had a blast! The space was so cozy with a great kitchen and enough space that we didn’t feel crowded at all. The hot tub was a huge plus. Just wonderful memories already. Thank you so much!

Great Family Getaway!

We had a wonderful week at this property! The cabin is located in a quiet, friendly, peaceful neighborhood. There is so much to do - swimming, kayaking, fishing off the dock, having bonfires, and soaking in the hot tub. There's a flight of around 80 stairs to get up and down from the lake, but we welcomed the exercise. There is also a lift for anyone that couldn't or didn't want to take the stairs. Cooking was easy with a well-stocked kitchen, and the Blackstone was fun to use. Beds were comfortable, and AC plus ceiling fans in most rooms kept us cool at night. Best of all, you could really tell that this was a family cabin and not run by an impersonal property management company. Dan was so nice to work with. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Great Getaway to Crosslake

Great place to stay for kids and parents! Fun spaces to play in and out of the water. Toys and games available for a rainy day. Located on a great little lake blocking the wind with easy access to larger lakes for fun and fishing. Wonderful communication with owner. Definitely recommend!

Great experience

Great place, owner was easily reached and easy to work with. A bit of a drive to brainerd for shopping but wonderful shopping closer in nisswa. We were there in the fall and enjoyed the large hot tub. This place would be a blast for a family in the summer months with the lake right there and lots of lake activities available. Definitely recommend!

Kid Friendly

Wonderful place to spend a week with family. The house was supplied with many kid friendly toys. We also took advantage of lake through enjoying the kayaks and lily pad. Would recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy true Minnesota scenery of the beautiful lake and sound of loons.

Family Get Together Weekend

We had a great time at the cabin. 6 adults, a 4 yr old and a 9 month old and there was plenty of space for all to be together and also enough separation so you could find space away if wanted. Had everything we needed and more! Our granddaughter especially liked playing on the unicorn float.. and after being in the cold September Lake water,the hot tub was the perfect way to warm up!

We had a great time relaxing here over MEA break. With two families of five, the house was a good fit for all of us. The yard was big enough for our kids to play, and the hot tub was a convenient break from a chilly fall day. The house is conveniently located within a five minute walk from Manhattan Beach Lodge, and the owner was very responsive and friendly!

This house is amazing! Perfect for a group!! We went for a 40th bday girls trip and we all loved it! Lots of space and it was super clean! Pretty sure the beds are better than what I have at home. Slept like a rock!! I also loved that the kitchen is fully stocked. Crockpots and everything. Will definitely book this again!!

Hello, my name is Dan!

I'm a single father raising 4 young boys (9-15), a weekend sports chauffer (so it seems), an avid skier, and I work in the medical device manufacturing industry.

I hold dear the memories made at our cabin over the years and really love that I am able to share with others the opportunity and space to make their own memories at our property.

My boys help me run this VRBO, and yep, even my 9 year old gets in on the action! They are learning skills and appreciating the work and love we put into hosting. It's truly a blessing.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Back in 2006 was introduced to the town of Crosslake, MN and the beautiful Whitefish Chain of Lakes and visited each summer. Once I had a family of my own I decided that it would be wonderful to keep the Crosslake cabin life tradition going on a more permanent basis for my children to experience. So, in 2014 we purchased our very own slice of heaven here in Crosslake, MN.

We love this place and have made so many wonderful memories here, and it makes us so happy to be able to share it so that other families can have an opportunity to make their own cabin-time memories up at the lake!
