Portmeirion Italianate Village is 18 miles away. For the small gauge railway enthusiast, there are the Talyllyn, Bala and Porthmadog, Ffestiniog and Highland Railways. Slate Mines at Llanfair Harlech and Llechwedd at Blaenau Ffestiniog.
