luxurious Corsican stone house, 270 m2 near the 14 century village of Calenzana, 10 km from the white sandy beach of Calvi. Calm in the country side which is much more quiet in the summer then on the coast, no property facing, 5mn by foot from a great bakery and a restaurant.
You can have lunch and dinner on a 45m2 terrace crafted in teak, with barbecue and panoramic view, or beside the 5m x 10m pool among the olive and citrus trees. Parking on the premises,. Ping Pong table. Tennis court at 5mn from the property, golf course,The house is tranquil, romantic, perfect for a holiday with family or friends, you can either go swim in 10 minutes on a beautiful white sandy beach or take a dip in the stream near the house. Many great local and fish restaurants are available in the area, it's possible to buy fresh fish directly to the fishermen. Walking Corsica's GR20 high mountain start's in Calenzana, the olive oil festival is in Montegrosso every summer, vineyard tours are possible all year and many water sports are proposed on the different beautiful beaches in the region.

Some of the beaches with incredible crystal clear blue water and completely unspoiled nature are not crowded in the summer and we are happy to share those beautiful sites with our guests every year.

Visting by boat the reserve of Scandola (protected by the Unesco) is a must, the Fango stream (Unesco protected) with its pink and blue rock swimming pools is fantastic.

Other Activities: Sailing, hiking, wind-surfing, scuba diving, night club etc...

Wonderful month!

We stayed in this lovely house for one month. The house is beautiful, quiet, relaxing, with panoramic views from the terrace of the mountains and the Calvi bay. We loved walking to coffee in the morning, eating meals on the terrace, going to excellent nearby bakeries and restaurants, hiking, bicycling, swimming in the pool. Our host was very responsive and helpful, and provided a lot of excellent recommendations for excursions/activities, restaurants, etc. This was a perfect place for enjoying mountain village life and exploring Calvi and the region. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Un séjour comme nous nous l’étions imaginé , le printemps en Corse avec ses fleurs et la douceur de prendre son temps dans une superbe maison en vielles pierres avec de grands espaces communs et des chambres spacieuses avec une salle de bain / wc, chacunes . Vue magnifique sur les montagnes et les orangers du jardin . Merci à nos hôtes pour leurs précieux conseils de visites et balades .

Perfect

A wonderful property, great location, pool, views, markets, bakeries, restaurants nearby, and the owners were very helpful with advice for activities and restaurants in the area. Photos of the property are accurate, but if anything it is even more spacious. Kitchen is excellent. We had an infant along and the house provided a highchair, crib and stairway gate. Couldn't ask for more. WiFi was shaky, but we understood it was a temporary disruption due to relaying of cables nearby. We hated to leave!

Beautiful house in the mountains

The place is great with amazing views from the terrace, you see the Calvi bay and the mountains, eagles are soaring in the sky and it’s all very genuine and calm. Nearby there is lots to explore, great maintain villages, nice restaurants and great beaches. The house is located in the mountains so be advised that cell phone reception can be poor at times and Wi-Fi is not as stable and fast as you might be used to. I highly recommend this place!

Corsica 2022

Four adults and one 7 year old boy rented this house in June. Our host Matthias lives nearby and was very helpful in explaining the house and the area. We had an immediate problem as the air conditioning was not working and Matthias had the repairman there by 9am the next morning. The house is very comfortable and spacious. The location has spectacular views and eating breakfast on the outdoor terrace was a joy. The pool is fine but we did have a few too many bees. The internet was adequate but not very fast. It is about 25 minutes to Calvi by car. I would recommend this house to others and I would come back!

Superschönes Haus in kleinem Bergdorf

Sehr schön gestaltetes Haus mit großzügiger Terrasse, großem Swimmingpool und phantastischem Blick auf Berge und Ebene. Wir waren mit 2 Familien und insgesamt drei Kindern in diesem Haus. Gegend und Haus sind einfach phantastisch und waren perfekt für uns geeignet. Der Weg zum ersten der wunderschönen Sandstrände dauert zwar je nach Fahrweise eher 20 Minuten, aber die Lage des Hauses und die liebevolle Einrichtung machen dies mehr als wett. Elisabeth und Mathias waren tolle Gastgeber, die Übergabe problemlos.

Künstler-Steinhaus mit wunderschöner Bergkulisse

Wir waren mit 6 Personen in dem wirklich einmaligen, Künstlerhaus. Das Haus ist wirklich eine Besonderheit, sehr geschmackvoll und sehr künstlerisch eingerichtet. Ein sehr großzügiger Wohn-/Essraum mit sehr schöner Küche (sehr gut ausgestattet) mit Zugang zur großen Terrasse und die drei Schlafzimmer bilden eine sehr tolle Wohneinheit (man wird mit dem Staunen über die kündrlerische, geschmackvolle Einrichtung gar nicht fertig). Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber! Der Hingucker sind dabei die 3 Bäder. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und gab eine ganze Reihe von besten Empfehlungen für Ausflüge in der Gegend. Der Garten liegt komplett geschützt, sehr grün und gut gepflegt an einem Berghang. Tischtennis und beheizter Pool laden zur Entspannung ein. Am schönsten ist aber der wunderbare Blick von der Terrasse (mit Grill) über die Gebirgsgegend bis hin zum Tal. Wir haben die Zeit wirklich sehr genossen!!

Très belle maison et charmant village

La maison est très spacieuse, avec trois grandes chambres doubles. Les propriétaires sont charmants et nous ont très bien renseignés. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine et le jardin, très bien entretenus. La cuisine est bien équipée. Le village est charmant et typique, avec des commerces de proximité à 300 m (on peut même se faire livrer les croissants et baguettes pour le petit déjeuner). Nous avons aussi apprécié le calme et les nuits fraîches.

An absolutely brilliant villa

It has taken me ages to get around to writing this review but I was committed to doing so because we had a wonderful time at the villa. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something a little different. The drive from Calvi is only 20 minutes and means that you get away from the crowds. We visited in April which meant we swam in the heated pool whilst enjoying the view of the snow-covered mountains. Spectacular! At one point there were 8 us staying and the house still felt spacious. We had such a nice time enjoying our meals on the terrace with a brand new BBQ! The owners were charming and helpful and very attentive to our needs. I couldn't recommend this beautiful (the owner's father is a famous architect and you can tell!) and well maintained house more.

Beautiful villa in a spectacular location

Wonderful location near the picturesque village of Calenzana in the foothills of the mountains with great views but only a few minutes from the beach at Calvi. After touring all the area of La Balagne we thought this one of the best locations. The stone architecture, huge bedrooms, heated pool and lovely gardens all contribute to a sublime experience.The house is beautifully finished and was clean and well-equipped with excellent kitchen facilities, perfect for self-catering. We also used the BBQ and sat out on the terrace to eat most nights. The people in the village were very friendly, the lady in the small grocer shop opposite the bar arranged for the breadvan to stop outside the gate of the villa every morning on its way into the village so we got first choice of the crossiants delivered to our door. The region is very scenic and unspoilt "like the Cote D'Azur 50 years ago" and perfect for walking, climbing, picnics and swimming. We were a party of 3 couples and a child and would love to have this holiday all over again. The weather in October was perfect.

Sensational all round!

location: stunning views, about 15min drive from the very touristy Calvi. Technically on the edge of a small town which has a few shops for necessities. Great spot to do a morning trip into calvi or beach for a few hours, then retreat in the heat of the day to fabulous air-con and sensational pool. The view of the mountains is not done justice in the photos. Breathtaking. The place itself it lovely, finished to a high level. Owners are very helpful and relaxed and have great suggestions on what to do and see (the rock pool swimming is a must!). We had friends staying in a twonhouse in Calvi which was more expensive and nowhere near as good. If you need to be in the heart of things then perhaps Calvi is the way to go - but if you want to relax in a far more beautiful spot a simple drive away this is it!

FABULOUS!

FABULOUS! We had a wonderful week on Corsica in this house. On the outskirts of a charming hillside village, this residence allows you to feel like a local. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and comfortable. The amenities are first rate and the heated pool got a good deal of use. With 6 adults, the fact that each couple had their own space and bathroom was a big selling point. The house was truly a home-away-from-home with everything that we required for a comfortable stay. Calvi and it's airport are only short drive away, this is the perfect place for a getaway. I'd like to thank our host for making our stay so enjoyable.

Unforgettable Villa

This Villa is perfectly located sitting on the edge of a small hiltop village, on a lovely rural setting yet within minutes of several villages and very beautiful Calvi and its citadel. Set within its own ground in a peaceful location, we stayed one week in this villa and it was fantastic,The house is well placed for shops,restaurants and beaches only at 15 minutes, in particular the Pain de Sucre were we went twice.The house is tastefully decorated, spotless with all amenities, and the air conditioning was very helpful, the pool water quality was verified twice a week, and we enjoyed having a tv set in every bedrooms. The garden was exquisite and we had a great time with the barbecue eating and driking local product on the terrace with the incredible view. Elisabeth was very helpful but not intrusive and i want to thanks her for her very warm welcome, the corsican people in the village were very nice, we highly recommend this house.
