Rural tranquillity in Paradise:
We have stayed here several times now over the last ten years and I can safely say we have never been disappointed, the standards and facilities have continually risen over this period.The location is perfect, you get away from everything, but you are in striking distance of many attractions without the crowds and all that goes with it if you stay close to them. Riberac is close by for all your daily needs so there are no long drives to the supermarket and there is an excellent market on Friday mornings. The pool and house are beautifully maintained and fitted out, with all the character of the traditional buildings sympathetically retained . The owners were extremely helpful and obliging, but not intrusive. We can recommend this property highly and will definitely be going back as soon as possible. (Ed & Sue Hampshire)

"house hunting holiday":
We stayed long term in April and May whilst house hunting in the area. Ideally located. A clean, comfortable and private cottage with use of a fantastic pool. We especially liked the terrace for a barbecue and eating outdoors. It's a beautiful authentic and quiet French country spot, yet still close to shops etc. Being a Dutch couple, we have to add: reasonably priced. The owners are friendly English people, live close by, are always helpful, but respect your privacy. We liked it very much. (Sjors en Marga, Nijmegen, The Netherlands)

Pleasant holiday:
We had a wonderful week at La Petite Renaudie. Lesley and John are the perfect hosts. Everything was clean and worked well. We loved the pool and spa with views and the electronics. The recommended restaurant is very good. We recommend La Petite Renaudie for a quiet holiday in the green countryside, with children or adolescents, as well as for adults without children. This is a good place to visit historical monuments in the region (eg Aubeterre, Brantome, Perigueux). (Dieter M Munchen)

Very pleasant stay in a beautiful area!
We spent a wonderful week at La petite Renaudie, even if the weather was not very good every day! The Cottage is fully functional, the terrace well appreciated. The area is super quiet, it's great, and there is so much to do in the area! Without going very far, we did canoeing, vélorail, climbed trees, swam in the lake, visited beautiful places (Aubeterre Brantome ...) :-) ate and drank in very good restaurants (special mention for the "Grain de Sel" in Périgueux)! What a pleasure to take a dip in the pool or splash in the spa after our busy days! I highly recommend this place ... Thank you Lesley and John! (Myriam, Paris, France)

Contact with the owner very friendly and everything correct (contract, payment terms) description agrees with reality, sanitary and kitchen all newly adapted, very clean and well maintained, even around the outside, very quiet location, recommended for couples, with pool, large garden with leisure opportunities, access to the pool well-protected! Superb summer!
I came quite by chance on this lovely location, and I do not have any regrets, the description is very accurate, and the owners gave me very good advice on how to get there easily, they sent me regular emails to keep me up to date. The area is very quiet, relaxing, and very well maintained. The house is very neat, and above all very clean. The owners have really thought of everything, so that we felt at home. Yes, I would recommend this beautiful location to my friends at a price defying all the rest. The owners are discrete, and especially so kind, that if I have the opportunity to go on holiday next year, I'll be going back to La Petite Renaudie. There are beautiful places to visit, as well as lots to see and great restaurants in Périgueux. We have fond memories of our holiday, and travelling to get there is worth it! La Chaumiere - an unforgettable holiday home:
We had a wonderful stay at La Chaumiere. The place is beautiful, located in a quiet hamlet away from traffic noise and with a superb view. The holiday home is very well equipped, very clean and has been tastefully restored. We especially appreciated the quality of the bedding. We also appreciated the warm welcome from the owners who are discreet whilst remaining attentive to the needs of their guests and do not hesitate to give advice. We took full advantage of the terrace under the lime tree, using the very functional barbecue for all our meals. Finally, such a successful holiday so that when you leave, there was emotion in the air including our daughter who was sad to leave "The Cottage" and it feels good and we'd like to return. A good holiday!
La Chaumiere has everything you could wish for for a good holiday. The beds are very comfortable, just like the sofa. Nothing is missing! Everything is very well maintained, very friendly owners, having thought of everything for our comfort. Large swimming pool, ping-pong, all in the quiet Dordogne region. The spa allows you to relax with a beautiful view of the countryside. Brantome and Bergerac are nearby as well as préhistorique caves. Assured relaxation in this little paradise!
Very very good holiday at La Chaumière. The welcome of Lesley and John is impeccable, they are lovely people, smiling, available without being intrusive. La Chaumière is fully equipped, nothing is missing. The green areas are very well maintained, clean and the pool water stays a pleasant temperature with the solar heating and pool bubble cover and above all is very well secured. The spa is a moment of pure happiness and relaxation with stunning views of the flower garden and not overlooked! Many very different trips to do in the area (castles, churches, lakes, old towns etc). We'll definitely be going back to La Chaumière as here rest and relaxation are guaranteed. Relaxing weekend:
Sadly the bad weather in April prevented us from enjoying the pool and terrace. On the other hand, during the low season or in case of bad weather, it is very nice to be in the sauna or spa. Regarding the exterior, I am a passionate gardener, I really want to return later in the season to enjoy the colours of the flower beds and the views over the vegetable garden.
