Laundry, dishwasher, BBQ, high speed internet, shower only (no tub) 10 mins to grocery & convenience stores, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Possibility to rent kayaks for experienced paddlers.

Amazing location and setting for a quiet time on the Eastern Shore area (as show in listing photos). The main attraction for us was the private peninsula setting and classic cottage design with great views. Location is best for enjoying the cottage rather than taking sightseeing outings or dining (we did both but the drive times are longer). Would recommend to friends!

Quiet Spot on the Water

If you're looking for a quiet place on the water, this is it. We enjoyed listening to the sound of the water at night and enjoyed the beautiful views during the day. The house was great and the kids loved exploring the water's edge. We would definitely stay here again!

Not only was the property exactly what we were looking for but Jason was a great host!The cottage is located in a perfect spot, peaceful retreat but close to everything we wanted to see in the area. Going to miss the stunning views!Jason was always quick to respond to any question we had and made suggestions on where to go in the area. We would recommend this cortage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway close to Halifax!

The listing does NOT do this place justice. It is absolutely amazing. Beautiful cabin inside and out and views are 5 star. The neighbors were more than friendly and the proximity to the local town is just close enough to be convenient but you definitely have all the space you want and need. The road is very quiet and nice. Jason was a great host and very responsive.If you love nature and all the creature comforts you get it all in one here.

Perfect cottage retreat!

My son and grandsons from Alberta wanted to surf the beaches of Nova Scotia. I booked this cottage and it was perfect. We were able to get to both Martinique and Lawrencetown beaches and then come back to this wonderful retreat for barbecue supper and a relaxing evening with beautiful sunsets.

Unique and Delightful

What struck us most about the place was how unique and interesting the place was, both outside and inside. Special little touches around the place, nooks and crannies and places to explore that left us feeling like we had a lovely little retreat. The beds are comfortable and the shower is great too :)

A little cottage with big comfort

The property is exactly as pictured. And though open concept we managed to have a great week with five people most days (one was an eight year old) and some days six. A great place to paddle or canoe from. Super clean and managed lovely by Jason.

Best of both worlds

Great stay close to civilization but still peaceful. Jason is the perfect host. Responded to every text in minutes. Lobsters groceries and ice cream just minutes away. My daughter loves to fish. Jason arranged for a friend to show us the ropes. Caught enough mackerel for a good dinner. House is inviting and the setting is lovely, good value for money!

A charming home with amazing views

This is one of our favorite rentals over the years. The views are more amazing in person than the pictures. While the layout is different (the sitting room is upstairs), the cottage is charming. Jason was very responsive to all queries from my first inquiry to questions during our stay. This part of NS is not big on tourism (which we prefer), but there are plenty of hiking and kayak options within an hour, and it is just under an hour if you want to be in Halifax. Food options (a small food store, casual restaurants, and farmer's market) are also nearby. We'd definitely return to this cottage if we are back in NS.

We enjoyed staying at the house in Musquodoboit. We were extremely comfortable and able to visit the surrounding sights that we wanted to. Jason was extremely helpful and returned our calls when we had questions.

A tranquil and well located setting

We enjoyed a five night stay in early September and were blessed with wonderful weather to appreciate the property's excellent location for sunsets and sunrises. Our trip to Nova Scotia was a combination of vacation and due diligence exercise on looking at building options for an ocean lot which we own a few miles east of Ostrea Lake. Jason was very helpful in sharing his experiences of building his cottage which was an unexpected but much appreciated bonus. The cottage was well equipped and fine for us as couple. Its open plan feel might be a bit of a challenge for a young family as there is only one segregated bedroom. The upstairs level has a double bed and pull out couch for additional guests.The location is good for grocery shopping, gassing up the car and the Sunday morning Farmer's Market in nearby Musquodoboit Harbour.We researched extensively for rental properties along that stretch of Marine Drive and Jason's cottage was far superior to anything else on offer.We may well stay again as we build our own vacation home next year. Beautiful house on the shoreline

We (family of four) stayed in the house for a total of four days and loved the property! So much attention has been given to details! Mosquitos can be something of a downsides in the evenings if there is not a lot of wind, but the scenery makes up for it. Jason was very helpful with any questions we had.

Great Place to Stay

Beautiful cottage, quiet location!

Spent 5 days at Eagle Rocks Cottage in July 2017. Despite the week long fog bank that meandered in and out with the tide, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed, it was warm and inviting, with wonderful views. There were 4 adults with plenty of space. We were about 45 minutes from Dartmouth/Halifax with public beaches within a 10 to 15 minute drive. On our last evening we had a beautiful sunset over the water, a perfect sendoff!

The cottage is lovely, clean, and comfortable... not to mention the view, which will knock your socks off. Up to date appliances, roomy shower, comfy beds, and surround sound music system top it off. The stained wood and artwork on the walls are inspiring, so bring some colored pencils and paper. You'll enjoy the sublime solitude, but when you want more activity and noise, you can head to Halifax less than 50 min. away. Martinique Beach is right around the corner, as is the best fish and chips you'll ever sink your teeth into! An absolute paradise. Jason was always very responsive with replying to our questions, there if needed- the ultimate host!

A beautiful, modern out-of-the-way cottage

I enjoyed staying at this clean, modern-looking cottage. It had a great sound system. The appliances were all in great condition. It had a nice view of the ocean plus its own little bay.

Oceanfront cottage is more beautiful than the pictures!

We had a wonderful stay at Jason's beautiful cottage which has so many fine architectural details inside. And the views outside to Lake Ostrea are spectacular from every window. The landscape all around is breathtaking; we saw many birds while having our coffee in the morning. We would highly recommend this cottage if you want a quiet and peaceful place to observe nature and be calmed by a sensational body of water. Jason was very friendly, responsive and helpful. There is grocery shopping and a variety store just a drive away. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and a nice TV upstairs was great for viewing movies. This was our first visit to Nova Scotia and staying at Jason's was a perfect way to get to know the kind and friendly people and to see the unbelievable scenery.

Simply the best!

We loved everything about Jason's cottage. It is situated on it's very own little peninsula! We could go out on the end and sit and watch the sun go down or watch the stars. Very peaceful. The cottage itself was simple but very nice we had everything that we needed. It is an hour from Halifax. Close to lots of hiking trails, grocery store and a great co-op that makes wonderful sandwiches that you can take on your hikes. I was so peaceful yet not far from things. As for Jason, he took us around to show us the sites and places that we could go to later. Also, one of the trips highlights, he came over and prepared the Lobsters we bought! I am sure he won't do that for everyone but since we were "three Lovely ladies" from Minnesota he did it! We will definitely go back but next time we will stay longer.

Beautiful and peaceful!

This was the perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The property and the house are beyond amazing. We were completely pleased with our stay and are trying to figure out when we can return!
