one of the very best

0ver 20 years of staying in gites this has been one of the very best. Character, quality furniture and bedding, great location and garden to relax in. Most of all hosted by two fantastic hosts. We fully recommend!

We stayed at the property for 4 days. Jo was very welcoming. She met us at the property and showed us round. She left a lovely welcome pack. A very nice clean, well equipped place. Could not fault it.

Perfect location within walking distance to L’sle Jourdain

Such a lovely stay in this comfortable gite. We enjoyed the beautiful garden and peaceful setting, cooled off in the pool whilst listening to the bird song. Waking up to the cuckoo every morning and sitting outside in front of the gite having our tea in the sunshine was simply lovely. Being able to walk over the viaduct into the town to get lunch or dinner was perfect for us. Our hosts were so nice, the gite so comfortable, we would definately recommend a stay here and we hope to return in the near future.

A week in le vigeant

Perfect little gite with lots of thoughtful touches! Friendly and respectful hosts. Pretty garden. There are lots of things to see within a one hour drive. I would highly recommend staying here. Valley of the monkeys is not far and very entertaining.

Peaceful, beautiful and relaxing

The property was pretty and well-equipped, and perfectly located at the edge of the village for peace and quiet but walkable to the town across the viaduct. The garden and pool were lovely and served us well for relaxing days. The town is beautiful and quiet, had a couple of good meals in la Maison and Sensations, but mostly cooked as Intermarche, boulangerie and coop all close by. Altogether a lovely week by the river.

perfect gite in beautiful surroundings

We had a week of total relaxation. The gite is very well equipped and there is also a garden where you can sit and enjoy the views. The village is quiet and small, however there is a town a short walk away. The walk across the viaduct was one of our favourites things to do. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and keen to ensure we enjoyed our holiday. we would highly recommend this gite and will definitely be returning.

Idyllic holiday in gorgeous gite!!

Lisle jourdan is a beautiful village built alongside the breathtaking river Vienne. Our gite was perfect! Immaculate and cosy containing everything we could need for our two week stay. Our two dogs were also welcomed even receiving treats in our thoughtful welcome basket! The garden was beautiful with a pool and amazing views. Jo and Jemshid were the perfect hosts with nothing too much trouble. We had a fabulous holiday and thoroughly recommend Maison La Roche.

Had a fantastic time here everything you could want and more. Jo the host was there to answer any questions that we wanted before coming and while we were there. So helpful in so many ways. Property was lovely and clean with everything you needed. It was a bonus having the garden with the plunge pool especially in the heat that we had. Would highly recommend this property to anyone lovely walks around the property. Especially over the viaduct spectacular views little bar near the house. Very friendly gentleman there

Peaceful and relaxing

We had a very peaceful and relaxing week at the Gite. Joanne and Jemshed were wonderful hosts and nothing was to much trouble for them, telling us all about the local area, walks, resturants etc. They made us feel really welcome.The Gite is lovely and very comfortable, very much home from home, with a very pretty and peaceful garden to relax in, with a great splash pooll to cool off in. L'isle Jordan is an extremely pretty town with plenty of lovely resturants and walks. We hope to return soon hopefully for longer.

Thank you also for your understanding with our Foster dog "Baby" who was a tad annoying at times... I don't think the Gite has ever been left so clean after a weeks stay so thank you also for that, I had a very easy changeover that week!! Hope to see you both down this way again in the near future. Fijne thuisbasis om tot rust te komen

Het huisje was comfortabel, smaakvol en met veel oog voor detail ingericht. De eigenaars staan altijd voor je klaar om je vragen te beantwoorden. Alles is aanwezig en bij onze aankomst vonden we een aantal fijne attenties. De tuin met zwembad was een waar genot.

Best place to stay in L'Isle Jourdain

Super helpful and friendly owners who kept us well stocked up on free wood for the fire which was needed during the unseasonably cold weather we had at the start of April. This is a very cosy renovated house which has been done up and decorated very nicely. Off-street parking and a garden with nice views just across the very quiet road. Walking distance to everywhere in the town as well as the viaduct, and just a few minutes drive to the race track. If you are going to L'Isle Jourdain this is the place to stay.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour !! Tout était parfait ! L'accueil etait super, la maison est très bien équipée et fonctionnelle, de superbe balade à pieds et vélo très proche de la maison. Joanne et Jamshid ont été super top avec nous. A la fois très discrets et très disponibles ! Encore un grand merci à vous A très vite Ophélie et toute la famille

Une excellente adresse pour du repos en famille avec piscine privative !

Propriétaires très accueillants et disponibles. Gîte parfait: propreté irréprochable, décoré avec soin (nos filles ont dit que leur chambre ressemblait à une chambre de princesse), bien équipé et surtout... un splendide et grand jardin avec vue sur la rivière ! Le jardin, remplie d'arbres fruitiers et de fleurs, invite au farniente ou...aux joies et sauts dans la piscine ! Du grand bonheur avec des enfants. Des activités intéressantes à faire avec les enfants tout près (balade en poney, sortie à vélo ou à pied sur le magnifique viaduc, tyrolienne...) ou plus loin (vallée des singes...) Possibilité de se faire livrer des vélos sur place via une entreprise du département, demander aux propriétaires. On recommande chaudement !

Séjour très sympathique

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Joanne qui est très sympathique. La maison dispose de tout le confort nécessaire avec comme gros plus : le grand jardin arboré et sa petite piscine idéale pour se rafraîchir en été.

Relaxing Stay

Joanne and Jemshed were excellent hosts the Gite was all you could ask for well fitted out and totally relaxing. Breakfast in the garden was added to by the Turtle Dove serenading us from the walnut tree and the views were also special. If we are in that part of France again this is the first place we will look to. Thanks again to Joanne and Jemshed.

séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé un moment très agréable et reposant, en famille, dans ce gite bien équipé et très cosy. Dans le verger, nous avons profité de la vue, de la piscine et du barbecue... bref de vrais moments de détente. Ce gîte est bien situé pour profiter des activités aux alentours. Nid douillet pour notre famille à 4

Nous avons passé une super semaine dans cette maisonnette équipée avec gout et souci du détail. Nous étions avec nos 2 filles qui se sont regalées dans la piscine. Nous avons bien profité du jardin et de la piscine, salutaire en cette semaine de canicule. La maison est restée fraiche malgré la chaleur. L'emplacement du gite nous a permis de rayonner dans le département. Nos hôtes étaient disponibles et chaleureux sans être envahissants. Une belle rencontre.
