Spacious 8BD/7BA bed&breakfast on Beltzville Lake in Southern Poconos

Lake View Lodge is a beautiful log house overlooking Beltzville Lake and State Game Lands in the Southern Poconos.
Situated on a large private lot the lodge has 8 bedrooms, 7 baths and sleeps 20! Great for large groups, with plenty of space to be together and to have privacy. Many summer and winter activities in the area. Gorgeous views and access to the lake, with kayaks to use; big parking lot and a basketball hoop; fire pit and large porch with a gas grill.
Each of the bedrooms has a balcony/deck, fireplace, Cable TV, and some with DVD players. Six of the bedrooms have a private full bathroom, and the other two bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub.
The entire first floor is wheel chair accessible, with one of the bedrooms and bathrooms equipped with specialized wheel chair friendly features.
The focal point of the great room/dining room area is a 26-foot double-sided stone fireplace. The great room is fully furnished with comfortable seating, and the dining room is furnished with a dining table and chairs able to seat 20+ people.
The eat-in kitchen is fully furnished, including kitchen table and chairs, refrigerator/freezer, double ovens, stove top, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and four-slice toaster. All dishware, cookware and utensils are included as well.
The deck with a large propane grill also has plenty of seating for barbecues, or just kick back and take in the fresh air while drinking your favorite glass of wine or an ice cold beer!
The common area has a Foosball table and a small library for your entertainment. The is also a volleyball net and other outdoor and indoor games available.

The property is under surveillance for everyone's safety and security.
FOR WEDDINGS and LARGE OUTDOOR PARTIES: There is an additional "lawn use" fee (between $600 and $850) for parties over 50 guests, due to increased lawn maintenance costs. Portable bathrooms are also required.

Spacious, well equipped house (including kitchen, games, activities, outdoor equipment, etc. ) Lovely property that was perfect for our group, as we try to spend most of our time outside around a firepit.The layout with each bedroom being a suite with its own bathroom was ideal! The owner is super responsive to all questions. This is a great property for larger groups and extended family gatherings!

This house was nearly perfect for our family reunion of 17 people staying at the house and another 10 joining from locally. Everyone loved the space, great for the hot weather, cool inside and with room for all of us. I loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Many of my family enjoyed the kayaks. The kitchen was spacious with its own table and plenty of dishes and other necessities. There was a small problem with the dishwasher, but it still worked and I was assured it would be fixed. The location was great: good views, quiet, nearby lake and not too far from stores.

A Spacious Family Gathering Location

This is property is exactly as advertised; clean, quiet, & well equipped with room for everyone. We were a three generation family gathering who enjoyed games in the spacious yard, relaxing on the deck, the easy walk to the trails, family meals at the large dining tables as well as the privacy of ensuite bathrooms. The owners are easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Wonderful retreat

Rented the place for extended weekend (family reunion and birthday party). Absolutely lovely: the house is gorgeous and has everything you need, the owner was very helpful in answering my question and checking in-very smooth. The place is surrounded by nature and very beautiful.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay there! The only downside was the microwave that broke shortly after arrival, which made it difficult to heat up stuff, including things for our children. The house was spacious and clean. We really had a great time and communication with the owner was very easy.

Great House for Large Family

We all loved our stay for 2 nights and the nearby State Park with the beach was the cherry on top. Loved that every bedroom had a bathroom. The bathroom fixtures could use an upgrade but overall house was well facilitated.

This place was exactly as shown in the pictures, nice big bedrooms and clean bathrooms. Deck was really big and can accommodate lot of people. Our review of the property

The property was very large and accomodated our family. A few observations...the furniture was very distressed, the kitchen was small compared to the size of the house and the oven took longer than normal to warm the food. Since the trash was only collected once a week, the trash box should have been larger to accomodate more bags.

Mini Family Reunion

We had a great stay at this gorgeous property. It was spacious and tastefully designed to offer a cozy cabin feel. I really can't say enough positive things about this place, but I will list a few cons: - does not provided towels or linen (bed sheets and pillow cases). I understand this may be related to COVID/health concerns but the "cleaning fee" is enormous and should cover the costs of these items. - some sinks had slow drainage. I would like to thank the hosts for being super responsive and helpful in answering all my questions. I recommend this place and will possibly book for future events.

Spacious and well located property with all the amenities

We were a group of 18 people including 10 young grandchildren and there was plenty of space for everyone. On a weekend we swelled to 22 people and no problem absorbing them; there are plenty of roll-out cots with linens to accommodate 23 and rooms are large enough to accommodate them. House is surrounded by fields of wildflowers which we went and picked some bouquets but beware of ticks and bees if you venture in that wilderness. Entering the home, your spirits soar about 40 feet to the top of the great room, following the converging lines of the massive rising chimney which serves to divide living from dining spaces. As this was once a B&B, every room has its fireplace and bathroom integral to it. For Swimming you drive five minutes to the Beltzville State park (free) which has a nice beach, picnic tables, and a snack bar. The house has 3 kayaks which mustā€™ve treked to the lakefront down a long trail. The kids loved this house. Plenty of room in and out for them to spread their wings and that they did. We went to a county fair, the worldā€™s largest country general store, an old fashioned ice cream shop , a lakebed full of boulders , etc, but mostly this old writer was content to enjoy the property and do the regular grocery shopping at a GIANT about 10-15 min. Away.

WARNING it is NOT a 7 Bedroom house! House is great/Homeowner & amenities are why it got 2.5 stars

As I write this review I'm still waiting for my security refund BUT Iā€™m risking what she might blame me for now that I am writing this review but I feel other travelers should be aware. DONā€™T deal direct, pay the fees & let vrbo / HomeAway fight your battle. The fireplaces: some work & some donā€™t, we couldnā€™t get the living room one to work & when I called the response I got was well it worked last weekend?!? Her husband who was very nice than helped us out & got it working & we ended up not calling her re: the others not working because it was fine without it. Bedrooms have TV's, HOWEVER only 2 TVā€™s (living room and king suite) have cable. The rest are smart TVā€™s that you can login into your personal account BUT the WiFi is so poor all they do is the buffering circle. FYI: some bedrooms DO have a VHS options & others have DVDs. House has a lot of flies in it which I thought was weird for the time of year, fridge & stove top didnā€™t work correctly. THIS HOUSE IS A 6-bedroom house that you can pay additional $$ for the 7th bedroom king suite. Our group was 21 people & if I hadnā€™t noticed the little red line around the 7th room picture online stating this was an additional fee we would have been screwed. When I requested info, it was through the app, the app only goes to 13 ppl BUT in my original info email I said how many we were BUT she didnā€™t see that & she quoted it with 6 bedrooms (which I donā€™t see how that is legal, whether I am 13 ppl or 21, your listing says 7 BEDROOMS: I want 7 bdrm). 2 wks before we came out I asked her to confirm we rented the whole house, she said NO. After showing endless evidence that I said we were 21, in the end we compromise on the additional fee she charged me cause we had no choice we had pain in full already. Trash: U R allowed 8 bags per stay & they charge $$$ for each added bag. The trash was over flowing, I took a pic to show her when we got there so we didnā€™t get blamed. She still gave us a hard time. We put our trash on the curb as directed & even took some home with us (gross) so she didnā€™t charge us. This is absurd! We are 21 ppl worried about how much trash we are producing. We were staying for 4 days & when u pay over a thousand a night trash shouldn't be a worry on vacation. I'm a vrbo user & owner & we take pride in treating others home with how we would want our house to be treated & Iā€™ve never dealt with so much nonsense in a rental EVER! Review was shorted due to vrbo 2450 characters limits

Family Get Together

For the most part everything was great but , with linens not provided due to Covid, I donā€™t understand the basis for charging us for ā€œexcessā€ guests? Also, we originally requested a Thursday to Thursday stay to better accommodate family members work schedules which was accepted but owner later came back and demanded Friday to Friday or reservation would be canceled.

Family Get together for graduation celebration

On first arrival we were amazed by the beauty of the property and the lodge. We were down by the lake every day for fishing, boating, swimming and water play. Plenty of room for my very large family. Plenty of activites around the area. Marina and her husband as owners were very friendly, helpful and responsive.

What a great country setting

Had a short bisinees trip to this property w my friends and co-workers. The check-in is simple, the place was huge and inviting. Stove, grill, AC worked as it should and were clean. We had to bring our own linens and towells but we preferred it anyway. I read some of the negative reviews prior to renting but did not have the same experience. One cant expect a hotel type setting and amenities when renting in the country. The grounds were also well kept and the access to the lake was easy. Thank you fpr kayaks! My friends and I will definitely be back.

We had a great stay at this house. It was very well located for the ski mountains.

Nice property but wouldn't cook food there

The house has comfortable bedrooms and nice bathrooms. Host was easy to reach and dining room included a great working chimney, as listed. Although, the property fell short when we found the dirty kitchen was not suitable for preparing food (both coffee makers had mold, etc..) the grill on the deck was filthy, we had to use aluminum foil on the caked-up, black grates as they have never been cleaned (something the high cleaning fee should cover).
