Located in a quiet lane in the scenic Haut Var with unspoilt views of Tourtour and across the valley below. Belle Ecosse is furnished to an exceptional standard and is ideal for 1 family or 2 families sharing. 15 min walk or 3 min drive to cafes and restaurants of Tourtour. 30 mins to the beautiful Lac St Croix and the Gorges of Verdon region. Less than 1 hour to the beaches of the Cote D'Azur including St Tropez. You can reach Tourtour by car or fly to Nice (75 mins to Tourtour), Marseille (100 mins) or take the TGV to Aix en Provence (90 mins).

Memorable stay

Beautiful property situated in a picturesque Provençal town in Var. Gordon is a conscientious and helpful host and his team of Bella and staff were very helpful.

Great locations. Breathtaking view

House fully corresponds to description. Perfect to relax with many sitting areas around the house Gordon is quick to answer any question (although the guidebook provides all information needed) Views are amazing. Secluded but still close to Tourtour. Many areas to visit around. We had a great stay!

Tranquil Tourtour

Our second visit to Belle Ecosse worked just as well as the first, it's a lovely house with wonderful views. Relaxing by the pool does not get much better than this.

Spectacular views

Belle Ecosse is a beautiful villa with the most spectacular views from virtually every window. The house offers flexible accommodation for extended family, and the pool area makes it hard to leave to explore the surrounding villages. We loved our week here!

Beautiful Provençal Villa

Our family of two adults and three children had a wonderful time at the villa for a two week break away from reality. The property and the surrounding area are out of a story book! Gordon was incredibly responsive and we appreciate all of his help and guidance very much. We had a perfect holiday of rest and relaxation!

Fabulous

Rented property for a week whilst attending a wedding in Tourtour. Ages from 27 to 83 and everyone agreed what a fabulous villa in a fantastic location. Could not recommend more highly.

Gorgeous Belle Écosse

We had a wonderful two week stay at the house. It is in the most stunning position with heavenly views. Everything came up to our expectations. The house was clean and spacious and beautifully furnished and the pretty garden and pool were fabulous. The walk to the hilltop town of Tourtour was hot work but well worth it! We had a great holiday and would love to return.

Belle Provence

We spent 3 very relaxing weeks in June at Belle Ecosse. The views from the extensive outside areas and the pool are simply fabulous. It is a lovely house for outside living with a very open plan feel. The house is spacious and very equipped, we couldn't think of anything the house lacked. On hot nights the air conditioning was very welcome. Perfect for a qiet family holiday. Gordon and Claire are very obliging hosts.

Perfect and amazing holiday with a breath-taking view

Our stay in „Belle Ecosse“ was simply perfect. The house is wonderfully furnished and well equipped. The view is mesmerizing and the pool perfectly refreshing. The kids and the adults had so much fun and we enjoyed every minute. The house is located near the small but very beautiful village Tourtour which allowed us to have some nice dinners out while enjoying the solitude of the house at the same time. The host is very helpful and responsive when having any questions. All in all, we were sad that we had to leave the most wonderful „Belle Ecosse“ and we are surely going back.

Perfection in Provence!

Belle Ecosse is a beautiful property in a stunning location. We never tired of those gorgeous views. The house, pool and garden were perfect for us (a family of 2 adults and 3 teens). The villa is very well equipped, clean, beautifully furnished and everyone had their own space. The local area has lots to offer; We spent time in Tourtour village (morning pastries and coffee in the village square was a lovely way to start the day) and also did excursions to Lac St Croix, St Tropez, Gorges du Verdon and vineyards. Days spent by the pool were similarly wonderful. Gordon and Claire were helpful, friendly and hugely accommodating hosts. We were so sad to leave!

Fantastic villa,clean, roomy with beautiful views.

What a gem. Fantastic villa, with superb views of rolling mountains and hills on the horizon. Just the place to relax and chill out, and if you have a car ( which is advisable) plenty of places to visit. A beautiful lake to the north for swimming and boats for hire, and the Mediterranean to the south. All within an hours drive. The village of Toutour is a 20 min uphill walk. We walked up every day to buy the freshly made baguettes and croissants for breakfast, what luxury ! The village has a village square, plenty of lovely restaurants, an open air market, and again fabulous views. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a boules court and lovely sitting areas by the pool, also a terrace, where you can sip your evening cocktails, and enjoy the views. Also a good table for eating al fresco. Astrid, who looks after the villa, was there to welcome us, a very capable and professional lady ( and speaks perfect English) so we had no worries. I would certainly recommend this villa and needless to say we have booked again for 2014, for another perfect holiday !

We agree that it's so lovely to be living in a tranquil hillside village with the beautiful lakes nearby, but also to be able to get to the buzzing Cote D'Azur within an hour for a day on the beach.

Traumhαfter Sommerurlaub in Belle Ecosse

Wir haben im August einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Belle Ecosse genossen. Das großzügige Anwesen bietet jede Menge Rückzugsmöglichkeiten und verfügt über eine hervorragende Ausstattung, insbesondere die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die Außenanlage: den schönen Pool haben wir intensiv genutzt, das große Grundstück ermöglicht sportliche Aktivitäten und verfügt sogar über einen eigenen Boule-Platz. Zudem gibt es überall Sitzgelegenheiten, wo man mit einem guten Glas Wein den traumhaften Blick in die umliegenden Berge und Wälder genießen kann. Insgesamt ist das Anwesen sowohl innen als auch außen sehr ordentlich, sauber und gepflegt. Der kleine Ort Tourtour liegt oberhalb von Belle Ecosse und ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Man kann auch zu Fuß gehen, muss allerdings einen steilen Anstieg in Kauf nehmen. In Tourtour selbst gibt es zahlreiche Restaurants, verschiedene Märkte und kleine Geschäfte. Sehr sehenswert ist auch der Gorge de Verdon mit dem angrenzenden See. Alles in allem ist Belle Ecosse eine tolle Urlaubsdestination für alle, die einen entspannten Urlaub in wunderschöner Umgebung mit hohem Komfort genießen wollen.

Magnifique vue

Excellent séjour dans cette maison trés confortable avec magnifique panorama à 180 degrés. L'hôte est très agréable, disponible et réactif pour répondre à nos demandes. Lieu parfait pour se reposer et se détendre au son des cigales.

Wunderbares Anwesen in traumhafter Umgebung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt von der ersten bis zur letzten Sekunde genossen. Das Haus ist wunderbar und die Lage traumhaft. Der Ausblick schlicht atemberaubend. Alles war sauber und der Austausch mit Gordon war äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir könnnen einen Aufenthalt allen von Herzen empfehlen und kommen auf alle Fälle wieder. Dream week in Tourtour

We've spend an amazing week in Gordon's beautiful house in Tourtour. Everything was perfect. The house is very well equiped, with a very nice decoration and a amazing view! Gordon's is very kind and has made all his best to make our hollidays perfect! We will definitly come back. The region is full of wonders, one week is not enouht !!! Belle Ecosse

After many many hours trawling the internet we came across Belle Ecosse - to say the least we are fussy and this house was as good if not better than the photos (which is not always true). Why go away and settle for anything less than you are used to at home. Beautifully kept, spotless and perfect décor. It ticked all the boxes. A car is required if you don't fancy a steep uphill walk into Tour Tour. The area has the most fabulous scenery. Restaurants were not as good as we experienced last time we were in Tour Tour but you don't need to go out to eat when you have such a wonderful house and facilities. Thank you Gordon and Claire for sharing your wonderful home in Tour Tour

Belle Ecosse Review

Belle Ecosse offers well presented accommodation that has been thoughtfully furnished throughout. The interior to the main house is bright, clean and functional. There is a separate annex that has been cleverly converted into 2 bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. There is plenty of outside space where you can relax under the shade of the canopy or cool down by the pool and enjoy the amazing views across the valley. The property is situated just below the beautiful village of TourTour being about a 5 mins drive away which has a good selection of restaurants and a small traditional french bar. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.

We've always loved this beautiful part of Provence and got married over here in 2005 in a neighbouring village. We realised our dream when we bought this stunning holiday house in Tourtour and have spent many happy times together with friends and family at Villa Belle Ecosse. We absolutely love this house and only rent at certain times of the year to families who we feel will treat it like their own home. Everyone who stays here loves Belle Ecosse and we have many repeat visitors.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The views from Belle Ecosse are simply incredible as you can see both the village above and the panoramic hillsides below, and can walk to the village for a glass of rose in the sunshine. The house is beautifully furnished and the annexe allows families to flexibly split their group for accommodation between the main house and the annexe. The pool deck has been recently updated to a Millboard deck which is practical and looks great and is furnished with rattan sunbeds! The pool also has a new heater which efficiently keeps the water at a comfortable swimming temperature. The house has several terraces for outside dining and a boules court at the end of the garden with stunning 360 degree views.
